A true "slim fit"! A technical review.
Overall, this is an excellent ... terms of its fit! Of course, only time will tell about the quality of it after many wash n-wears. I've worn my 4 slim fit BR shirts just one (1) time each, so far. First off, here are my physical specs, because it's good to know how to digest a reviewer's comments, and may help other dudes who have a similar build to identify with how a ... may fit on them. At the least, it's a helpful reference, and gives a sense of scale. My specs: 6-1 tall, athletic build (32-inch waist, 41-inch chest, developed arms and shoulders, no beer gut). My usual clothing measurements for dress and most casual shirts: - Neck: 16.5-inch neck. - Arms: 34-35-inch. Banana Republic’s slim fit ... dimensions for MEDIUM size (16.5-inch neck, 34-35-inch sleeves): - Chest (measured directly under the armpit): 21.25 inch across the front. - Waist (measured at the point where I tuck my ... into my pants, approx 8.5 inches above the lowest point on the front of the hem): 20.75 inches. - I tried the Medium slim fit ... BR. Immediately, it fit perfect from the get go. Before purchasing, though, I asked a store clerk what the wash n-dry shrinkage was like. The clerk said non iron shirts have zero to-very minimal shrinkage. So I bought 4 shirts (all in the “slim fit, non iron” group) - because I needed a wardrobe overhaul. - After I washed the ... (following most of the ... care directions), true to what the clerk said, there was NO shrinkage on the ... fact, the ... care directions stated to dry at low temperatures. I actually used HIGH temp for 30 minutes – and still there was no shrinkage. - Bottom line: when I wear the BR slim fit ... there’s no excess ... fabric hanging off my sides, or over my waist. The ... gives me a very polished, professional look that works well with my frame. Since I have longer arms relative to my general physique range, the ... approx 1-inch too short for my arms. But I have no problem with that. Other pros: - Since it fit so well, it will make a great ... "play time" too! The only downside is that when both wrist buttons are buttoned, the sleeve is too narrow at the wrist opening to accomodate any of the more "modern" wrist watches, which are generally styled larger ("thickness or depth"). This will NOT be an problem when wearing a slim profile watch. This is NOT a show stopper issue and will not prevent me from buying this identical ... size in the future, but it’s worth noting.

Great ...
I'm a slim 6'3" 190 lbs, L fits just about perfect. I say just about because my 16" neck doesn't fill out the buttoned collar, but I'm not buying to wear with a tie so no worries. Custom ... costs over $100 in my area so these are really great. Washed about 5 times now and looks like it did when new. Fit is fantastic and makes all my other shirts seem huge in the body (because they are - I'm in the 1/3rd of Americans that aren't obese). I now have a ... actually fits my frame - what a concept. Bought another one today in blue pinstripe. I'd buy 10 [...] I love this ... though. I can't iron very well so it's right up my alley. Dry for about 15 minutes and hang - and it's completely wrinkle free. It's purple but a really light, non offensive purple - and I've gotten a compliment every time I've worn it.

Best Slim Fit ... Out There!
Truly, this is the best ... Not only does it stay wrinkle free, but the quality of the fabric is constructed very well. I have worn Express shirts and more expensive shirts from Nordstrom, but this BR ... fits more slim around the chest and waist and has a bit longer sleeves to compliment the taller, thinner man.

This is my 3rd review of this ...
Let's go again, I'm 5'8" 165-170lbs and am of medium build. I wear a small and the fit is perfect. Again, this ... not for the bigger fellas. If you're bigger or muscular, go with the classic fit. I wear both the slim fit as well as the classic fit. But, I prefer dress shirts to be fitted, not loose. This ... not the slimmest of the slim shirts. If you want that, go with the stretch slim fit, which is slimmer than this non iron slim fit. With that said, I felt I wanted to update my reviews because BR came out with new colors. The new shirts are exactly the same size as their previous version. Why does this matter? Well, because sometimes when updated colors come out, the sizing changes. Well, I can say that the sizes are as they were when the first non iron slim fits came out. I have all the colors except for strawberry and orange. I don't think those colors go well with my skin tone. The navy ... actually looks better in person. Because the ... has a textured design, the navy color looks a little weird on the computer. However, in person, it looks like a sharp evening ... going out.

Great ...
Honestly the people who complain about any of these slim fit non irion shirts do not know what they are talking about. They ALL fit perfectly. Especially this one. If it does not fit, you are buying the wrong fit or size. Also, the people who say they wrinkle, same to you. Naturally, if you leave the ... dryer for a long peroid of time it will wrinkle...jeans would do that to some degree for goodness sake. Take it out within 5-10 minutes and you are good to go. If you are not satisfied then you need to stop being such a prude. Great ... Oh and BR, make more of them!!!!!! They keep getting backordered and sold out. Supply and demand.

Wrinkle free
Loved this ... probably get another. Nice material and truly wrinkle free.

A new favorite dress ...
My wife got me one of these shirts for my birthday and it fit life it was made for me. The textured white ... first I bought for myself, and l like everything about it. I would like one of these shirts for every day of the week. I have been wearing so called "slim fit" shirts from another company and will be phasing those baggy shirts out of my collection. I would give five stars, but I miss a pocket sometimes and would like to see the price lowered by about $20.

Great ... great fit, but...
These non iron shirts are really worth it. May be a bit pricey up front but if you wash them and promptly hang them they will be wrinkle free and ready to wear so no need to dry clean them or spend time ironing them. The fit is perfect on the slim fit and the serve for both work and play. One thing that I don't like is that the cuffs are way to big and there is no way of fixing this other than taking them to a tailor and moving the buttons. Fix this and they get 5 stars.

Wish it was slimmer and heavier
Overall this a good dress ... but I was hoping the material would be a bit thicker and that the cut would be a little slimmer. As others have mentioned, this slim fit is not as slim as the stretch cotton shirts and BR slim fit shirts in general don't seem as trim as other stores. It would be nice if BR offered size options for neck and sleeves on their dress shirts.

Shirts shrink, BR losing its quality?
I've been buying BR shirts regularly for years now, and I'm extremely disappointed with the quality of their new shirts. Complaint 1: I used to pick S right off the rack, but they've clearly changed the size of their shirts. S hardly fits, and M is too big. Complaint 2: Even though they've changed the fitting for these shirts, they WILL SHRINK. I've never had a BR ... shrink and for what they cost, its expensive to lose a bunch of shirts right after you wash them. BR, if you're listening, please try to bring the quality and the fitting back!

Great ... work
This is a great basic dress ... work. I have several in white and blue that I wear every week. I am glad that BR is finally offering "wrinkle free" shirts which I think are much more practical than traditional shirts. I still iron my "wrinkle free" shirts, but I find that it takes less time to iron them than traditional shirts. The shirts look great with a tie. The fabric is soft, not stiff like some "wrinkle free" shirts. Finally, I like that the fabric is thicker than average. The shirts are made in Hong Kong.

Non iron classic fit
These shirts are absolutely incredible. They are true to size as all products sold at Banana Republic. What I like most about these shirts is that they don't wrinkle as much as other traditional shirts do. If you can keep them clean, you should be able to wear them at least two to three times before getting them washed and pressed.

Perfect Fit, Crisp Look!
I first purchased this ... lilac and went back and got both blues. The fit is perfect, almost tailor made, and the finish on the fabric is great. Because these shirts are wrinkle free, they are easy to iron and look crisp and professional for work. I have worn them with with full suit and tie, under a v neck or cardigan, with chinos and even, (unironed) with jeans and loafers. This is a must have for your wardrobe.

Great ... - but...
This is a great ... normally wear a 16 1/2 x 35 and this fits me perfectly. The only thing that is a little strange is that the Medium Blue color is a little shiny. I'm not sure if its the wrinkle free treatment, which I really like, or the fabric itself, but my coworkers definately notice when I'm wearing the "shiny ...

Non Iron Shirts
I love these non iron shirts. They stay wrinkle free and generally look more freshly pressed than my starched and pressed shirts. I doubt I will buy traditional cotton shirts in the future.

Favorite Shirts
Without a doubt these are my favorite shirts. They have a great cut, look awesome and are virtually wrinkle free.

Loving these shirts, bought 3 earlier in the year and 3 more recently - Best shirts ever
I bought three earlier this year and 3 more last week all different colors. Of the various non iron dress shirts that I have bought over the years (Brooks Brothers, Joseph A. Banks, Tommy and BR), these are the second best (BB #1). The only place it tends to wrinkle is where the elbow bends, but only when it is 100% humid, but that is to be expected with most shirts under most conditions (except BB). The color, feel and look easily surpass all other shirts even BB. Shirts from BB can be washed, dried and hung and will look perfect, really, so there is no need to pay $2/shirt for laundrying them. I didn't try this with these BR shirts, but I also "now" have my laundry picked up, but I doubt they will look the same. I had the sleeves shortened on these, but never before on any BR shirts, so the real cost went up by $20 for tailoring. I have received several complements on the color, look and feel from other women.

good every day work ...
The length and fit of it is very good. It is one of the most comfortable dress shirts I have ever had. It irons fairly easy and is pretty true to staying wrinkle free. I wish the neck was just a little smaller. I am more of a size 15 neck and my M Tall is a 15-15.5. I also wish the collar was just a little bigger, because it would look a lot more professional and better when you wear a tie. I would love it if BR made specific neck and sleeve size shirts like most others do. For example, 15,34/35.... 15.5,34/35 and etc. I wish BR would step it up and focus more on making more dress clothes with many differet sizes and colors.The last thing I can recommend, I hope BR comes out with more colors of this ... hope they continue to make this ... so guys can buy more of these shirts and do not have to worry if they are going to stop making the ...

Nice dress ...
This is a great classic white ... holds its shape and doesn't wrinkle up and look too casual. I think non iron is pushing it, as it is a dress ... without ironing it will not look pressed in any way. It doesn't wrinkle excessively however. The price is high on this item, but a good deal if you can grab it on sale like I did at the 40% off!

Great fit & color
Great, trim fit (but not too tight) and color, really nice wrinkle free material. French cuffs distinguish this ... others in my closet but it's not too dressy to wear untucked with jeans on a casual day at the office or night out.

French cuff shirts
These shirts are the best dress shirts I have ever worn. A friend recommended the french cuff shirts to me. Unfortunately the Banana Republics in the STL metro area do not have any in stock. WOW! To make things worst most of the associates seem unaware/unfamiliar with the product (french cuff shirts). To my surprise while visiting in Omaha NE, I went to a couple Banana Republics and purchased a few of the french cuff shirts. I would like to note that the Banana Republic located in Village Point Mall (Omaha NE) is the best Banana Republic store I have ever been in. They the shirts were separated: Regular, Slim Fit, French Cuff Slim Fit. Other stores I have visited have the shirts mixed together. Now that I found these wonderful fitting shirts there are none available in the Banana Republic stores in my area. Because of the unavailability these shirts I have not been able to obtain more of this shirts or take advantage of the resent sales. And the website does not offer all the colors. Thank you for your consideration.

Perfect white ...
My husband really likes this ... men's french cuff oxford is the perfect fabric weight, it is crisp and comfortable. And kept looking good all day and evening (didn't wrinkle). I just wish there were more color options, and the options available were in stock!!! My husband has this ... white and black now. He loves the airplane cuff links from BR that he wears with this ... Along with a few others he has collected over the years.

Great Tall Slim Fit French Cuff Wrinkle Free ...
Great purchase. Thank Banana Republic for being one of the few companies who offers tall slim fit french cuff wrinkle free shirts. This ... texture and style are seductive. My one small recommendation for improvement is to manufacture this ... slightly larger and more aggressive spread collar. I would love to see this ... available in more colors, such as red, burgundy, pink, teal, robin's egg blue, royal blue, brown, and black. Thank you.

Perfect for almost any occassion
Not only does this ... have a perfect cut that won't make it look like you are 20 pounds over weight from the excess material that hangs out of pants, but it is wrinkle resistant. I do quite a bit of travel and have to pack my shirts and suits but if there is not item I do not have to worry about too many wrinkles or having to iron out, it is a ... like this one. I recommend it.

Great ... - It really doesn''t wrikle.
I'm really hoping BR brings this ... back in more than a few colors. Fits GREAT, looks HOT, moves VERY WELL and feels really expensive. Best of all I don't get the wrinkle lines after a day of wear. I've got the white and black and would like other colors -- but they are no longer available online or in my local stores in my size L.

Tight in chest, but long in sleeve
BR's XS slim fit shirts generally fit me well as I am short (5'5") and have narrow shoulders - most off the-rack shirts have shoulders that are too broad, which adds length to the sleeve for that too much-cuff peeking-out of-your suit look. The tradeoff is that the chest is often tight on me (and I don't exactly have a ripped physique). The problem with the XS slim fit French cuff shirts is that the sleeves are longer than usual (which is normal for French cuffs) but enough so that I'm back to tugging the sleeves back under my suit. It's annoying, and it's exactly the opposite of the reason why I get BR shirts.

BR Continues to Impress...randomly
I've bought three of the slim fit French cuff shirts (in XL Tall) and each one of them fit differently with different length of sleeves. I cannot fathom how much variance there are between all three shirts. For instance, I purchased the Blue and White versions first. The sleeves on both of them were too long (should shrink a bit in wash). The fit of the Blue and White were fantastic overall. Fast forward a few weeks and I purchased the Dark Blue. This ... perfect fit. The sleeves were the perfect length out of the gate and it just felt like a 1MM bucks. These shirts are not what I would consider "Slim" - which I love. Call it slim all you want; it fits me like a glove. I am 6'5" with an average to lazy athletic build and they fit great. I have "classic" fit shirts with all that extra material.

Poor fit on tall sizes
I've got a 36/37 inch arm, and the large slim fit dress shirts are just too short for me. But the fit in the body and shoulders is perfect. I ordered several online in large/tall, and was very disappointed to find that the cut of the tall shirts is considerably more generous than the regular sizes. I'm not sure why they've done this; presumably people who order tall just want more length, not more room in the body. If you've tried the large slim fits in the store and thought "I just need something a bit longer," you're not going to get what you want in the tall sizes. Too bad, because these are really nice shirts. I've ended up trying to find the classic large shirts (which, strangely enough, have enough length in the arms) on discount and having them tailored to fit.
