AMAZING!!!! PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS, BANANA REPUBLIC!!!!!!These pants are AMAZING!!!!!!!! BANANA REPUBLIC, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS & PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THEM!!!!!!!!!! BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit great. These pants are remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect pants; these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress pants. My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit pants in 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit pants I used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!
Love the fit of these pantsI've always loved the Martin fit of pants...these are no exception. I have size 4 Martin trousers from 8 years ago! I'm still a size 4 today :-) I will be buying a second pair of these so my suit lasts longer.
The bestBest fitting trousers I have ever owned. Bar none. Love the fabric - virtually unwrinkable (not a word, but appropriate here). Love the fit - as if it is made just for me. I bought the shorter length so I will wear with flats at the office. I also have this trouser in a longer length to wear with heels.
FrumpyWas looking for everyday work trousers, and saw that these were popular. Ordered them in a size 2, and they were big, baggy, and not at all flattering. Possibly ordering a size down from your regular size would help, but the cut is still rather generous.
What happened? Please bring back the old Martin cut!!!I've worn Martin trousers for years -- it has always been a safe bet, good fabric and very flattering fit. But last fall Banana Republic must have changed it quite a bit -- I went in to pick up a few pairs and all were unflattering! I normally wear a six but had to go down to a 4, and they were baggy at the waiste and back of the leg. I'm 5'6 and 125 lbs -- average build to normally is easy to find clothes. Please BR -- bring back the old version! My alternative is to buy my work trousers at JCrew, but not only are they more expensive, but they aren't lined like the Martin. It would be a real shame to see this old favorite lost forever!
