Perfect for gals with a boyish figure!Most ... my thighs hang off the waist and butt, but these ... hugs me perfectly! I also love how the zipper and side pockets sit flat against my body instead of pouching out. A word about the sizing: I used to wear size 2 bottoms, but now I find that the size 0 ... better. Therefore, I ordered both sizes.The size 0 ... button just below the belly button and ... 35" rear very much. The straight ... flattering and looks very professional. Love it!

BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these ... they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find ... fit great. These ... remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect ... these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress ... My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit ... 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin ... used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!
SPECTACULAR PANTSI don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this ... spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this ... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.
Perfect black pants!These are the black pants that everyone needs in their closet! They are a very classic style - not too wide or narrow. I ordered the "tall" length and they are perfect with heels for this tall girl. The quality is great and they launder well. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a year round pair of black ...
Small girl finds great ... The ... fits best for me because I am 5'4", 110 with a full butt and small waist. I can't find ... any other store that have a small enough waist with ample room in the butt and still look professional. I wear the 00, I find the petites to be too small in the crotch depth and too short. Petites in BR are for seriously small people, if your shorter than 5'4" the petites would be a good hem length for you. Most ... other stores are too low cut. This is why I love the ... they run smaller in thighs and waist but have ample room for a full butt and long crotch depth. I think they are most fitting for the petite curvy girl, If you have a small butt and straight lines try another style. Love Love Love the smaller ... its the only ... can find that is small enough for me, unfortunately most companies vanity size there ... then it leaves us smaller people swimming, keep the smaller ... BR.
Perfect black ... work I am wearing my ... suit ... first time today and I can't believe how much I love a basic black trouser. First of all it is great to find a ... trouser ... true mid rise that isn't too high. Second, they are very well made. Third, they make my legs look amazing. Finally, and here is the surprising part considering I have a very straight figure - they actually make my booty look perky! I think I will order them in every color now.
My perfect suit ... Before trying on these ... my local BR store, I read the reviews here and was a bit concerned about what I might experience in the dressing room. NOT SO! These ... me perfectly! I am 5'7" 120 lbs and wear either a 0 or 2. I've worked in the clothing retail industry in the past and fully understand that different cuts of ... differently. In this case, I purchased the size 2 after trying both a 0 and 2 on - I didn't want a tight ... - these are suit ... way, and meant to look professional! I also bought the matching suit jacket and the pencil skirt - all in a size 2. If you are purchasing straight off the website and unable to try them on - I recommend you go with the larger of your normal sizes, or to be safe, order both and return the one you don't like. Enjoy!
Nice lined pants!These pants look great and are long enough to wear with heels! I'm 6 feet tall and it's wonderful to find pants long enough for us tall ladies. These pants are very professional looking and hang nicely. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal size, but otherwise great purchase.
Great Fitting ... I love the ... am 5'7" and very slim. I have no hips or butt so this cut fits me perfectly. If you are curvy this probably is not the cut for you. Looks like this is made for someone who is straight up and down. I am very happy with the quality and wish they came in other colors like brown or camel.

Bring the old sizing back!I agree with the others who say the sizing at BR is way off. I have many ... BR. I've tried to update the old ones I've worn for years with replacement Martins, but they are NOT the same ... same size now is much tighter and I sized up and they were too big. The same thing goes for the matching jacket ... same size I always buy but the arms and back were way too tight. So I am living with my very old Martins and looking for a replacement maybe at J. Crew. BR needs to take a hard look at being consistent if they want customer loyalty. Take a look at the ... back in 2006 ... perfectly true to size.

Miracle Skinny ... This is the first time I ... ever taken the time to write a review -- and I'm doing it now because ... MOST AMAZING ... I'm on the bigger side of things -- a ... 14 -- and let me tell you finding fashion forward slim leg ... actually work with this body type is a challenge. ... hug and slim you in all the right places and are very flattering! ... aren't too tight down the leg -- just the perfect slim straight leg. ... look so chic! Based on prior reviews, I ordered the ankle length instead of the regular, and I'm glad I did -- ... hit me at exactly the right place so as to show off cool shoes, ... not look like ... too short or crops. (I usually wear a 32-33" inseam perfectly -- ... "ankle" length ones hit me below the ankle, almost to ... heel.)
After having purchased 4's and 6's of the ... have concluded that the 4L ... PERFECT. I was pleased with the length and overall rise of the ... I'm 5'9" and weigh approximately 155lbs. I have a very difficult time finding ... my structure. I'm not very curvy but I do have a little more hips and butt than the average in my height/weight category. I do wish Banana Republic would make "Talls" in ALL their ... styles. I would definitely shop more often if ... did.
Super nice... really look great. I bought the talls to have a higher rise and am having the bottoms hemmed. If you are between ... may want to buy the larger ... - ... run a smidge small but similar to the other ... best dress ... found from BR this season.
Trousers that ... "T"... for every occassion! I recently ordered a pair of ... black womens ... trousers... with the skinny leg and was tickled to find when putting them on how well they were made and how they skimmed my body! The fabric has a bit of stretch and a such a nice finish. I wear them casual with boots and flats and dress them up easily with heels . They are the most versatile pair of trousers in my closet!
Great Skinny ... I receive compliments on these ... all the time. The fabric used for these ... fantastic; it is stretchy enough to hug curves, but thick enough to be forgiving and conceal figure flaws ie. a fuller rear. ... picture looks like a higher waist than how these ... me; ... sit about an 1" below my belly button. I normally wear a ... 4 in ... straight leg dress ... but wear a ... 2 in these. Also, the ... shrunk in length when washed in cold water. (This was not a problem for me as ... seemed to be a bit long initially anyway). These ... nice alternative to skinny jeans and a great addition to my wardrobe.
Flattering, just what I was looking for!Looking for ... versatile (can even wear ... dress down Fridays), slimming, straight-- yet not clingy. The ONLY complaint I have is that there's a little bulge at the waist closure. I wish ... would come in a side zip also. I like NO bunching at the waistline. Too many ... have "junk" at the waist. I like a sleek look. ... close as gets. Can wear with flats, Audry Hepburn style or with high heels and dressed to go out. Perfect. Now for other colors?
LOVE ... i know it's hard to believe that there are just so many positive reviews for ... took that leap of faith and found out that all the glowing comments are TRUE! (and i now own 3 pairs in diff colors). ... so flattering, and the first day i wore them, i got asked at least half a dozen times where i got them. ... super sleek, subtly sexy, ... totally work appropriate. the fabric is like twill with just the right amt of stretch. ... don't look like leggings, at least one me, ... rather a true straight leg ... definitely accentuates your curves in the right way. i would definitely recommend ... am 5'4 so i bought the short pair given everyone's comments about how the ... run long, and ... were the perfect length. do yourself a favor and buy them. ... definitely my new go to ...
WOW -MUST HAVESimply beautiful. High quality fabric, perfect cut, legging like -ala Grace Kelly. I'm skinny (~112#, sz 26 premium denim/ 0 in BR), but with a little rear and thighs and only 5'4", so I don't often wear leggings --better for those with straight legs and a little height. But, ... wear ... ENDLESSLY. The heavier weight, but exceptionally comfortable fabric and the perfect cut make my legs look long and slender. Straight cut that doesn't hug the knees and calves creates slim legs, waist is low enough to be comfy and high enough to always cover and to wear with cropped/short cardigans and ... slim and shape the rear and thighs perfectly. I actually got the 'cropped' style (because that's what ... pulled for me at my store), and I still love them . . . and I never do cropped styles. The high quality fabric allows you to wear ... leggings AND wear them with 'dressier' outfits as well, giving them amazing range. True to ... I'm buying this in regular length as well. FORGET LEGGINGS, BUY ...
Great!I bought these ... sight unseen and was a little confused by the mixed reviews. I never shop at BR but had stopped in and tried the ... really liked them, and at checkout i got a coupon for 40% off one item online. So I wanted another pair of martin's. I am 5'9 and have an hourglass shape. My hips aren't too wide but I have a booty. These ... excellent!! They are true to ... over the butt and come in at the waist nicely (prob wouldn't work if you had a flat butt - but great for me. thanks pilates!) The length is very long - I am ... but these are made for someone like 6'3. No worries though they actually look really cute cuffed. I'm usually too ... cuffed look so this is a bonus. One last comment, someone mentioned the fabric was shiny? Mine is not at all. The fabric is a SUPER comfy stretchy blend. Love them!
Great trousersI never have worn trousers, cause I am only 5.4 foot ... have a curvy shaped figure. Large hips and small waist made it almost impossible to find the right ... trousers ... very good, they flatter and give my hips a great look. I also like the high rise. It was a little large in the waist, but I believe this is because of my extreme hourglass figure. The short version for my height is amazing, the length works perfect. The only thing I didn't liked is that the washing instruction says no machine wash. I believe a pair of black trousers should be so universal that cleaning at home should be no problem. I washed them in the machine and they came out just fine. The material tends to expand quiet a bit, but gets back in shape after washing. Still a great pair of trousers and I love the straight leg cut.
6'' 36.5" inseam walkerThese posed a bit of a problem with where it "sits". When worn pulled up right, the band rests well above the waist and of course doesn't quite hold the upper waist, ofcourse because it really isn't the same as your hips. I could push the waist down and it not be a problem but I think these are pretty much at the waist or above, not high waisted but definitely NOT below. However, I love the ... They flatter and can be worn casually or dressed up. I won't be returning them but I'll see about altering them. I'm dying for them to make it in low rise and in multiple colors like they do for the "regular" womens sizes. Please BR!!!!!
