Better than the picture
I love this blouse! I think the fabric is a step up from other blouses at BR. When I saw the picture online, I was disappointed - it looked very shiny and way to "frumpy" for a work shirt. It looks completely different at the store - very professional and it comes out of the dryer ready to-wear. I agree with other posters - if you are busty, this shirt might not fit well.

Subtle, yet sumptuous colored, Non iron fitted sateen shirt
Four years ago I purchased two similar black blouses, one cut high hip with a cuff sleeve and one cut longer. The fabric has finely begun to lose the rich black color after years of weekly, machine washing (no dryer). I needed to find replacements and went to BR to see by chance if these blouses where in stock. I discovered the non iron fitted sateen shirt. I tried on the black and went up a size as they are cut trim, so were the old ones, but the fit was good and there is no shrinkage when washed. I purchased one in black and then went on line, since they were out of my size in the store, to order one in each of the other color ways since this year's palette is sumptuous and the colors ambiguous.

versatile white blouse
This is a very very fitting white blouse that is soft but looks crisp. You will be able to wear this throughout the cooler months all the way through till next summer's heat waves, and then into airconditioned offices.You'll love this shirt. If you don't love close fitting blouses go up a size.

Love this blouse! I own 5 of them...
Beautiful, quality fabric and these blouses remain non iron after countless washings. They are tailored, classy, and versatile for work, casual, or evening. These blouses do run very fitted through bust (I'm a full B cup), but are very flattering if you are average ish size. I will continue to buy more colors as they become available.

I have one in almost every color!
These blouses are perfect for the office and with a pair of jeans on the weekend! The come out of the clothes dryer nearly wrinkle free and stay crisp looking all day!

no iron shirt
I ordered 4 no iron shirts because I am too busy to iron, yet need professional blouses for work. I ordered 3 of this type (blue, charcoal and white). They all fit perfectly and are very flattering. The blue and charcoal are beautiful colors. The white shirt is a little thin, such that to be professional a camisole or something is needed. After washing, the shirts look like they need a little ironing. Yet, you can put them on and they sort of stretch and look fine. The 4th shirt I ordered was the Banana Republic no iron shirt (not sateen) and it looks perfect after washing and then looks really great on.. So, compared with that non sateen version, these 3 get a grade of B in the no iron department.

Size up
I bought one of these blouses last spring in a size 4 (my usual size in tops and blouses) and it's very tight across the chest, to the point that the buttons gap. I tried again, this time ordering a 6, and the fit is perfect. I'm not a super busty woman (I suppose you could say I have an "average" size chest) so unless you are pretty much flat chested I would recommend going up a size. I have a feeling this will become my go to blouse for work.

BR and ... sizes
BR offers Big men sizes but then sizes womens’ clothes too small so that you have to go up a size and hope it does not shrink, VERY SEXIST!

Too snug in the chest
I am typically a size 4 or Small in most blouses and shirts, but required a 6 in this. Very snug across the chest and shoulder area. I recommend at least one size increase, if not two. However, the fabric is nice and the quality of the shirt is very nice.

Disappointed
I've ordered several similar blouses from Banana Republic in the past, and they've fit me well. I really like the BR fitted blouses because they're very flattering. When I ordered this blouse I noticed that a number of reviewers had indicated that the chest was too tight. However, having a relatively small chest, I didn't think this was going to be a problem for me. But I was disappointed when I received the blouse and it was indeed to tight across the chest. I am 6'0 with a 34B chest and usually wear a size 10 in BR shirts and blouses.

Not for me!
I've always ordered my blouses in an extra small or zero and was surprised at how tight this one was! I bought three of them and, unfortuantely, had to return them all. Ordering up a size is a must for this blouse.
