Comfortable ...
I have found that some BR belts wear better higher on the waist, while others fit better lower on the hips. I bought two belts from the website in a size small -- this one and the basketweave ... While the basketweave ... fit me higher on the waist (but was tight lower), this ... fit me perfectly lower on the waist, and could even fit on my hips. It is very comfortable and I have been wearing it to work pretty much every day since I got it.

Beautiful belts!
These belts are great! I purchased it in both the brown and black and have already worn them both with sweaters and cardigans for definition around my natural waist. They add a finish and polish to any outfit.

Sleek ...
This ... exactly what I was looking for: a slim, tailored ... can wear over AND under long shirts. The buckle lies very flat, so when I wear it under long, semi fitted shirts it doesn't bulge out like my other belts do. I have worn it over sweaters as well, as pictured on the website, and while it's not a "skinny" ... still looks nice and pulled together.

Luxurious ...
Prior to purchasing this ... rarely wore belts. Now, I wear this ... everything! It looks extremely professional and the material feels great. Will definitely be purchasing one in brown!

Perfect ...
This is the second set of harness belts I have purchased - I wore my last brown and black one out after wearing them constantly for the past two years! The belts wear well, are understated, and are classic. Love them.

beware of weird sizing
Usually I find BR belts to be TTS but this one seems a bit off. I ordered one size up as suggested by other reviewers and found the ... too large (it was still a bit too big on the smallest setting). I went to the store to exchange it and found that the next size down was too small. Sadly I went home without.

This is the 2nd one of these belts I have purchase! I bought one about 2 yrs. ago as a gift for someone and though it still has lots of wear I thought I pick up another. When you find something you like its always best to have an extra one on reserve.

LOVE this ...
I bought both the brown and black of these belts many years ago and they go with pretty much any outfit dressy or casual with jeans. I like belts to be somewhat simple, but yet classic and this definitely meets that criteria. I was afraid I would not be able to find this ... need a replacement so I bought one now and have it waiting :) Because this item has been in stores/online for so many years just goes to show how great of a ... really is!

PERFECT ...
I have had this same ... size medium for a couple of years but since I have lost about 15 pounds, I had to have one in a size small. My local Banana Republic store did not have the item in stock therefore I ordered it online. This is the perfect ... wear with dress trousers and with jeans. The contour ... looks so much better because it fits the shape of the garment covering the ... area where a straight ... does not. Years ago it used to be easy to find contour belts at almost every store but that is not true today. I hope Banana Republic never stops carrying these belts! It would be nice if they made the belts with a couple of different styles of buckles.

basic and beautiful
I was looking for a basic but elegant ... would work well with jean or with dress pants. This is it!. The width of the ... perfect and the buckle is flattering as well. The leather is soft and not stiff like other belts I have found in this price range. A classic piece you will wear for years! Sorry, they are running out online but check a local store and I bet they will ship to you. And yes, it is true to size.

This is one beauiful basic ...
I saw the ... mannequin in the store wrapped around a sweater and i fell in love. Tried it on in a large and fit BEAUTIFULLY!! shows my figure and slims!! Looks BEAUTIFUL and fits nicely! Roomy and CLASSY!!!!!! I bought it in brown in the store then just came online and got it in black. My new fav belts!!! Can make any outfit look trendy and attention catching!! I thought 38 was redic to spend on a ... but honestly sooo worth it! You wont be dissapointed.

classic wardrobe staple...
I have two of these belts; one in black and one in tan (no longer available). I have owned them for several years, and they are my go to pieces, because they are modern, yet classic with a clean style. They have worn very well, and despite heavy use they hardly show any signs of wear and tear. I also LOVE how well they fit; the contour allows them to lay flat against your curves and pants. Fabulous purchase! I imagine I will be wearing them for years to come...

I brought both color belts when they were [$] cheaper. I lost weight and gave them away. My intentions were to buy new belts, but I realized the prices changed. Wow, I'll buy them on sale. I don't think they're worth [$] each.

Good mid width ...
This ... goes perfect with most dark color pencil skirts, and also fits very well with a wool dress I just got from BR. The contour style definitely helps show the waist line curve, without the stiffness like most other belts have. It is now my favorite ... One thing I hope BR can improve is the quality of the leather. Somehow this leather is very easy to be scratched. Hope it will last long, because it's not easy to find a nice contour ...

I bought the belts because they looked like they could be both casual and a bit dressy, also because they were made in the USA. I bought both a brown one and a black one. I was disappointed in the black ... because it quality was not even half as good as the brown belts. I wore the black ... once and it looked like I owned it for years. The brown ... still looks good after wearing it twice.
