These pants are AMAZING!!!!!!!! BANANA REPUBLIC, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS & PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THEM!!!!!!!!!! BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit great. These pants are remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect pants; these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress pants. My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit pants in 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit pants I used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!

SPECTACULAR PANTS
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

Perfect black pants for work
I am wearing my Martin fit suit pants for the first time today and I can't believe how much I love a basic black trouser. First of all it is great to find a tall trouser pant with a true mid rise that isn't too high. Second, they are very well made. Third, they make my legs look amazing. Finally, and here is the surprising part considering I have a very straight figure - they actually make my booty look perky! I think I will order them in every color now.

Fits great, love the material
I am a fan of this light weight wool. I think it could be worn all seasons. It is fully lined, which I think is always a must for wool. I bought the matching blazer and they both fit great. I'm 5'7'', 115 lBs, and I bought them both in size 2. I think these pants may run a little small because they fit better than usual. I thought the cut was exceptionally good.

Love these pants, more colors please!
I love these pants, I have a hard time finding pants that fit me well (I'm 5'10") so the fact that they come in tall is great. Would love to see the martin fit tall pants in more colors like gray or navy.

Great pant!!
Banana Republic is one of the only companies left that makes a flattering pant in a 36" length for tall ... I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. I bought the Martin fit in Size 14 and it fit wonderfully! Very flattering for curves. I will probably still need to have mine unhemmed for x tra length with heels, but otherwise a fantastic pant for work or casual wear!! Only downer is that they only come in black. I wish BR would expand their color selections.

Great Suit Pants
I love the fit of these pants (as I love all my Martin pants), and the fabric is great. Very lightweight, but the pants are fully lined and thus still comfortable in the winter. They look great with the matching jacket, and I will definitely be buying these again. I just wish the tall suits came in more colors and variations!

Love the pants, longer than the ones I tried in the store, belt loops are a bonus
I have a couple pairs of Martin Fit pants, and this is the first pair I will have to have altered to make about 3/4 inch shorter. I am 5'7" and have always been able to wear regular length BR pants off the rack. I tried these on in the store and they were perfect with a 2" heel, but these ones are just too long. I debated sending them back and seeing if they would send me a different pair that would maybe be the right length, but I'll just pay the $20 to get them altered instead (hate getting ... altered). They would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to alter them. I am a slim pear shaped gal and these ... fit great, and the lining makes the ... nice and sleek, no bumpy bulges on the behind. I got these with the blazer to wear as a suit, and this is one of the only suits I found that you can wear a standard belt with, which in turn, is what I attach my gun to. So, ladies who wear guns to work, I highly recommend a BR suit!

Martin Fit Trouser
These are the best fitting pants I've found. I am 5 feet 4 1/2 inches tall and weigh 128 pounds. The size 6 fits me perfectly. The only problem I have is with the length. The regular comes in a 32 inch length. I need 31 inches as I only wear heels that are about 1 inch high. With a 2 inch heel, they would be perfect. The material is nice. It has enough wool in it to keep you warm during the cold months, but not enough to make the pants look heavy. They are sleek looking and flatter my figure. Because of the stripe, I can choose a solid color blazer to wear with them that picks up the color of the stripe and have a great looking outfit for dress, or wear a sweater or shirt with them for a more casual look. They are so versitile.

Love the Martin fit
I recently dropped pants sizes through my exercise program and repurchased these pants in a smaller size. I loved them in size 10 (which was little large on me, but appropriate for work) and bought them in a much more fitted size. A size 8 would have probably been a better fit previously, but I'm not always comfortable with fitted pants for work. I find these pants to be comfortable, versatile, and very flattering. I'm tall and have long legs and tend to wear the slacks with flats or very low heeled shoes. Wearing higher heels I would probably need a longer inseam.

Changed fit of pant
The Martin 4 Tall used to be my go to pant. It was time to order another black pair and was surprised by the fit when they arrived. The rise is higher than before and the underseam results in an uncomfortable fit. A 6 would be too big in the waist. I have no butt so that's not the issue. Please go back to the old cut of the Martin fit.

very stylish and well fitting slacks
I have a few BR suits, but was in need of another and after reading the reviews, I remembered why I like them so much. These ... very flattering for my figure. I am 5'2", 110 pounds, but I frequently have to get a larger pant to ... across the hip (and then the waist is too big). These are perfect in size 2. I also like that BR offers a length between petite and regular --the Short is perfect. This particular ... has a very nice detail with the buttons along the waistline--although they are not visible with a belt on.

Perfect ... curvy ...
I have such a hard time finding ... because I have a smaller waist with larger hips/rear/thighs. These are perfect! They ... well, flatter my figure, and look very professional. The ... lightweight enough that I can wear it just about any time of year in Texas, even with them being lined. I also like how these match with other lightweight ... suiting separates. I've ordered the a line skirt and blazer for a complete set. These are my go to ... - I'll definitely be back for more!
