Absolute Essential
These ... hands down an essential for any professional wardrobe. The material is perfect for any season and doesn't wrinkle when I travel. After having ill fitting trousers for a couple of years -these are like a breath of fresh air! I'm 5'10" and the length is perfect for small heels. So glad to finally have the perfect black pant in my closet!

BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 ... very difficult for me to find ... fit great. These ... remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect ... these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality ... dress ... My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit ... 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit ... used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!

SPECTACULAR PANTS
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

Love the fit of these ...
I've always loved the Martin ... pants...these are no exception. I have size 4 Martin trousers from 8 years ago! I'm still a size 4 today :-) I will be buying a second pair of these so my suit lasts longer.

Perfect Suit
I purchased the suit and have found it to be very versatile. I wear the trousers with a variety of tops for work and even for evening. The blazer looks wonderful with the trousers and over jeans on a Friday. Would like to invest in other colors as well. The material is perfect, not too flimsy and not too heavy.

Perfect black pants!
These are the black pants that everyone needs in their closet! They are a very classic style - not too wide or narrow. I ordered the "tall" length and they are perfect with heels for this ... girl. The quality is great and they launder well. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a year round pair of black pants.

Nice lined pants!
These pants look great and are long enough to wear with heels! I'm 6 feet tall and it's wonderful to find pants long enough for us tall ladies. These pants are very professional looking and hang nicely. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal size, but otherwise great purchase.

I originally picked up these ... grey pinstripe (size 2) and loved them. They ... me perfectly. I tried on the black (size 2) and they were a bit more snug. They are a little shorter and a little tighter in the waist but with a couple wears, they stretch out comfortably. I also picked up the solid grey (size 2) and they were too small so I took them back. These are great ... overall. Most styles I come across have too low of a rise and don't ... me properly (I lack hips). These sit high enough for coverage, but low enough not to look like "mom jeans." I have noticed that the Martin ... varies by the material as well. These suit trousers are great, but any of the cotton versions look awful on me.

great work ...
I'm really happy with ... I've been looking for a pair of khaki colored trousers for a while - but ones that won't wrinkle by the time I get to the office. ... bill. The material is a very nice quality. The rise at the waist is a little higher than I expected, but I don't mind. If you wear a normal length top, it's not noticeable (although maybe not if you want to tuck in your shirt).

Biggest Banana Fan
I have these ... grey and also in black. They, and a few other BR Trousers, are my go to outfits for work. They are sleek, ... well, and the fabric feels good. I wear them with my BR Button front shirts, or with a t shirt and a blazer. I find that BR ... mimic the style, ... quality of much more expensive designer ... am practically a walking ad for BR most of the time, outfitted in their clothes from top to bottom, and buy them for my whole family.

I have a hard time finding ... my curves, I am 5'9 and I love love love these ... am a even portioned person, but either my ... past wash and then they are to short, or they become to big after a few washings.. Whatever the case everyone women is different! It all depends on how your body shape is and I have a long torso and I am ... am a size 14 so not all 14's are alike. I wear these ... work in my restaurant and wear a belt with them and they are worth the price to me.

Nice work ...
... made of a nice fabric for work but I did not realize they were stretchy. I still like them, I was just surprised since the pair of Martin trousers I was replacing with ... were not stretchy.

good trousers, not so great service
The trousers themselves are great - have no complaint and really like the product. The service was not so good. I originally ordered them online in black. They turned up in the silver color, though it said black on the invoice. I returned them and asked for an exchange to black. No trousers came back, but I was refunded the [$] cost. I then had to order them again [...]. So, good clothes, not so impressed with the service.

Would not buy again
I was very disappointed in these trousers - much too short and much smaller than expected, despite ordering my usual size. Not a good ... curves. Overall quality very good - just not my style
