perfect tall shirts
I have bought six of these ... shirts. I love them, I have got rid of all button up shirts in my closet except for BR shirts. I'm 5'10" ... 148 lbs and long arms, with 36C bust. I ordered 10 ... me its a perfect fit. I do iron mine. I like to press seams in the sleeves. They dont shrink in the dryer. The sleeves are perfect length and the shirts length is very long. It stays tucked in my pants. I have never seen such a beautiful fitting ... shirt until I found these at Banana Republic.

Long Long Sleeve Shirt
I love this shirt but have cracked the code on how to order it. It fits small, so do not order your normal size unless you want a scandalously fitted shirt. I order in a size 8 ... even though I am traditionally a Small ... have an athletic build and find that the other reviewers' discussion about how this fit runs small guided me to buy the right size, 1 to 2 sizes up. For reference I am a size 4 ... pants and either a 4 or 6 traditionally in shirts. The 8 ... perfect, not too tight nor too big. It's still very flattering and can be worn for a variety of occasions.

great style and value
I love these shirts but made the mistake of ordering an 8 ... fence of ordering a 6 ... am exchanging for the smaller size but love the quality of the shirts (I ordered two). I would definitely recommend this for a great, everyday shirt for work or play!

Great shirts, order up one size
These are great shirts - you just have to order up one size from your regular size. Normally I wear a 6 tall in Banana Republic's suit jackets and dresses, but I find all their button up shirts run smaller. I ordered an 8 tall in these in the white and light pink, and am thinking about ordering a couple more colors too. These are such a pretty fabric, more feminine than most button up shirts. These are also very good about not looking wrinkled, a big perk! I love that this company makes so many tall clothes, especially that are fashionable and account for smaller tall sizes! Banana Republic makes the best tall professional clothing I have found. If you are tall and find most tailored clothes "just don't look right" you have to try the tall clothing here. Love it!

The staple of my work wardrobe!
This truly is the absolute perfect work shirt. I don't know how I'd get by without it! It fits, it flatters, it looks great, and it resists wrinkles. I own SIX of these in different colors, and will continue to buy more. I love that this looks expensive, but doesn't require any of the special care that finer looking clothes often require. I can just throw this in the wash with my regular clothes, and I love that I can pull it out of the dryer and hang it up and it's ready to wear. You can wear an undershirt under these, and the lines won't show through because this fabric is a really nice weight, not tissue thin like some other dress shirts. I am 5'9" with a long torso and arms, and I get these in either a 2 ... 4 ... depending on whether I want the shirt to be quite fitted, or have a more relaxed fit. I am SO HAPPY to find a place that sells beautiful, quality shirts for ... not just ... but slim. My wrists are covered, and I can rest assured knowing that these will be long enough to cover my waistband, and even tuck in to more high waisted styles. My only criticism: when I button this shirt all the way up to the collar, I get some weird gapping between the top two buttons. A necktie covers this up more or less, but a bowtie does not. :(

Great shirt, love the material but way too short in length!
I love this shirt and the overall tailoring is beautiful, the material is great BUT this shirt (in the regular size) is too short to tuck in. I am only 5'5" and I ordered my size in ... solve this. The sleeves are a bit long for me with the ... size but I would rather be able to tuck it in. It is not perfectly non iron but it is certainly way better than regular material. For me, the shirt is perfectly proportioned for me so ordering it in the ... size was the accomodation I made so this shirt fit better. Also, the lavendar color is beautiful.

Great Work Shirt
Fantastic deal for a work staple. I paired it with one of Banana's pencil skirts and it made for a perfect professional outfit. I really like the color as well. Mine is much more fitted than the one in the picture and I think this style looks better fitted and tucked into a skirt. If you have long arms like me this ... sizing is amazing. It is one of the first work shirts I got that actually fits the length of my arms perfectly (my arms aren't that long, I'm just ... thin so for my size the arms are usually slightly too short).

Size discrepancy?
I have purchased banana republic shirts in 10 ... they were a bit too tight in the bust area (I am a 36B). So this time I selected 12 ... fit perfectly. The size chart should be fixed in my opinion because you would need to be flat chested to fit into the size 10 ... even though it is supposed to fit a 37" bust. I love these shirts though, so if they could fix the size problem, they would be perfect.

Different sleeve lengths in different colors
I'm 6'0" ... slender build with a small chest. I ordered two of these button up shirts, both in 4 ... one in Delicious Berry and one in Blue Glow. The Delicious Berry fits great! It is long enough to tuck in, form fitting, and the sleeve length is long. The Blue Glow fits like a 4 ... length, but the sleeves are much too short! It's as though they put the normal length sleeves on the ... shirt-- very disappointing, and I will be returning the Blue Glow color. I had read a review before ordering that mentioned that the light colored button ups had shorter sleeves and that the darker colored ones were fine. I had hoped they had corrected the problem, but sure enough, they had not. I hope this sleeve length issue is resolved and all the button ups come with true long sleeves because I'd love more colors!

Too tight in the chest
I am a Banana Republic sales associate, so not only I have seen countless ... try this shirt on over the last year or so, I decided to order one for myself in tall (I am 6ft tall and ~175, very pear shaped - normally in our tops I am a size 6 tall or S tall.) Beware: a majority of ... try this shirt on find it is too tight in the bust - ... do NOT usually have this problem. Because I was aware of the tight in-the bust issue, I bought this in a size 8 tall in the "black" and "blooming berry" - and yes, both did not fit me in the bust. Please note- I am NOT busty myself - I am barely a B cup! Going up the size to accomodate for the bust does result in a baggy fit around the waist. Otherwise, this garment in a "tall" size is well adjusted. And the fabric really is wonderful.

The best basic T!
I am 5'9 and have always noticed that out of what I try on when shopping, many of the tops are too short. I decided to experiment and order BRs basic tees in ... black and white. I LOVE THEM. I will probably never buy regular T's again, the fit was so perfect and I realized how frustrating it was to have ... consistently too short, and not offer the coverage that I wanted. I am about 130 lbs, and bought the small - it fits great and did not shrink too much but I make sure to wash in cold. These look great with jeans, khakis, or layered! PLEASE MAKE MORE COLORS, I WOULD BUY ONE IN EVERY COLOR.

great plain tee for ... girls
Ordered the xs ... have this now in white and black and these are great tees for casual or work with a jacket/sweater or even just a scarf. They are pretty thick for a tee, which is nice bc I have tons of feather tees. Also they are definitely long enough to tuck in or not, i'm 5'10", long enough torso. Super soft. also doesn't do the annoying thing some do and flair at the hips, it's just a good fitting, long enough tee.

This is a very nice basic white t ... Great wardrobe staple. It is nice that it comes in ... too.

Perfect "T"
I am 6' and wear a size XL ... nearly impossible to find good looking clothes that fit. This t ... fabulous! I bought both black and white. The fabric is a good weight and washes like a dream.

Great T ...
I have a "thing" for white t ... wear them under blazers and cardis with jeans or khakis to work. This is by far one of the better made, better fitting and better looking white T thirts that I have purchased and I have bought more than a few over the years. It is thick enough that I am not too self conscious if the blazer needs to come off in the office. It has some "give" to it, but not too clingy. I am also ... (5'11") so the medium ... long enough that I can tuck it into low rise pants and it stays put. I also bought the black one and that is equally nice. This is a good investment. Washes well.

Great but...
I ordered this shirt in ... because, in my experience, BR t ... shrink HORRIBLY in length. I own this top from last spring/summer's collection in a regular size medium. The differences are: neckline is higher this year and the fit is slimmer. I was looking for longer but not slimmer and certainly not a higher neckline. Sadly had to return this top. I will always buy ... BR knit t ... though. Though this was really long on me I know it will shrink at least an inch or two in length after the first few washings. Lesson learned there!

The fabric is awesome and I'm sure this is a great tee for an average sized person, but even the large ... too short for me. I'm 6'3 but fairly proportional (in other words, my torso is not unusually long). The ... also shrunk considerably when I accidentally left in in the dryer too long...oops! Bottom line...if you're over 5'11 or have a very long torso, this is not the ...
