The staple of my work wardrobe!
This truly is the absolute perfect work shirt. I don't know how I'd get by without it! It fits, it flatters, it looks great, and it resists wrinkles. I own SIX of these in different colors, and will continue to buy more. I love that this looks expensive, but doesn't require any of the special care that finer looking clothes often require. I can just throw this in the wash with my regular clothes, and I love that I can pull it out of the dryer and hang it up and it's ready to wear. You can wear an undershirt under these, and the lines won't show through because this fabric is a really nice weight, not tissue thin like some other dress shirts. I am 5'9" with a long torso and arms, and I get these in either a 2 ... 4 ... depending on whether I want the shirt to be quite fitted, or have a more relaxed fit. I am SO HAPPY to find a place that sells beautiful, quality shirts for ... not just ... but slim. My wrists are covered, and I can rest assured knowing that these will be long enough to cover my waistband, and even tuck in to more high waisted styles. My only criticism: when I button this shirt all the way up to the collar, I get some weird gapping between the top two buttons. A necktie covers this up more or less, but a bowtie does not. :(

Long Long Sleeve Shirt
I love this shirt but have cracked the code on how to order it. It fits small, so do not order your normal size unless you want a scandalously fitted shirt. I order in a size 8 Tall even though I am traditionally a Small Tall. I have an athletic build and find that the other reviewers' discussion about how this fit runs small guided me to buy the right size, 1 to 2 sizes up. For reference I am a size 4 Tall in pants and either a 4 or 6 traditionally in shirts. The 8 Tall is perfect, not too tight nor too big. It's still very flattering and can be worn for a variety of occasions.

almost perfect
I own several of these shirts. I'm 5'10 (legs longer than upper body though), 135, 36B and I order a 6T. I can actually tuck these shirts in, and they're fitted at the waist so they don't balloon out too much. I agree with other reviewers that they are a little narrow in the shoulders, but that works for me (I guess everyone is built differently). My only problem is that the sleeves are a touch long, but they're not so long that it's worth having them tailored. I love that these come in small ... sizes -- all the other places that sell button downs for talls only go down to a 6, and their 6 (lands end, eddie bauer) is a vanity size and really an 8 or 10. Also - quality on these shirts is excellent!

Great shirts, order up one size
These are great shirts - you just have to order up one size from your regular size. Normally I wear a 6 tall in Banana Republic's suit jackets and dresses, but I find all their button up shirts run smaller. I ordered an 8 tall in these in the white and light pink, and am thinking about ordering a couple more colors too. These are such a pretty fabric, more feminine than most button up shirts. These are also very good about not looking wrinkled, a big perk! I love that this company makes so many tall clothes, especially that are fashionable and account for smaller tall sizes! Banana Republic makes the best tall professional clothing I have found. If you are tall and find most tailored clothes "just don't look right" you have to try the tall clothing here. Love it!

Major differences in sizes between the colors.
Beware of the ... sizes. Although the BR website claims that the sleeve length will always be a certain length in a certain size, this is definitely NOT TRUE. All the lighter colored shirts in this item barely reach my wrists (I'm 5'11" with long arms), and all the darker colors in this item are quite long, hit the top of my hand, and have length to spare. I have ordered many of these shirts and it all seems to follow that pattern. The striped shirts seem to be long enough though. I love the dark colors, but the fit of the light ones are a shame. I"d really like a light pink shirt, but not if the sleeves are the same as every other regular sized shirt.

Too tight in the chest
I am a Banana Republic sales associate, so not only I have seen countless ... try this shirt on over the last year or so, I decided to order one for myself in tall (I am 6ft tall and ~175, very pear shaped - normally in our tops I am a size 6 tall or S tall.) Beware: a majority of ... try this shirt on find it is too tight in the bust - ... do NOT usually have this problem. Because I was aware of the tight in-the bust issue, I bought this in a size 8 tall in the "black" and "blooming berry" - and yes, both did not fit me in the bust. Please note- I am NOT busty myself - I am barely a B cup! Going up the size to accomodate for the bust does result in a baggy fit around the waist. Otherwise, this garment in a "tall" size is well adjusted. And the fabric really is wonderful.

I am ... (5'11") and weigh 148 lbs. I often buy from Banana and Gap because of the availability of ... sizes. This shirt was very nicely taylored through the waist, but the bust was very small. The top button pulled, not wearable. I have a small bust, so this rarely happens.

Had to return...
The navy sateen was the fourth fitted shirt I bought. All the others were size 6 talls. Went up a size with the navy to an 8 ... because they shrink a little over time across the chest. Had to return because the sleeves were an inch above my wrist bone!!! The sleeves were a good 3 inches shorter than my other shirts in the same style. Boo!!

BR''s Tall''s are getting shorter
I'm 6'2" and was very excited when BR and Gap finally started carrying ... clothes for ... actually ... (over 6" and not just 5'8" and above like may other "talls"). However, they seemed to have gone back to the short "talls". I ordered this shirt in a size 6T (I'm thin but with broader shoulders/rib cage (yet small chest) and had to return. The sleeves were too short, not too mention too tight (stick arms only for this shirt). The the body was also WAY too short to tuck in and tight around the arm pits. However, it was nicely fitted around the waist and bust so that I fear if I go up a size, it would be swimming around the mid section.
