I have a very difficult time finding ... love. I am extra ... waist down and a bit blessed in the hips and thighs. The Jackson ... provides that roomy seat for curvier girls without losing the ... waist. The lightweight wool suit ... well made, with neat button details at the waist. ... fully lined and comfortable as well as versatile. I have worn them to work, then changed tops and gone out. I am thinking of adding the other colors to my collection.

I almost gave up ordering a suit online after reading many of the reviews stating that the sizes were all over the place and confusing, especially compared to prior seasons in this ... also purchased the Jackson ... (although not in the lightweight wool) in prior seasons and wondered if I would get the same bad result. Some reviewers said that if you just followed the ... guidelines on the web site, all would be well. I measured myself using the guidelines on the web site and came up with some crazy ... I've never worn before in ... life. I decided to ignore everything I read and just order the same ... pair of mostly cotton Jackson ... (4S), as well as one ... bigger just in case. For reference, I am 5'4", generally about 125 lbs., and a bit pear shaped...and the ... 4S ... just as I had hoped--no gap at the waist, not tight in the hips or pulling across the crotch, and the rise was just right. I didn't find the buttons at the waist or the wide leg to be extreme or sailor like. (The ... 6S actually also ... but ... definitely looser at the waist and through the hips). I'm not sure why there is such a disparity in opinion about ... but I guess it comes down to body type/shape. At least for me, ... worked out well.

Great ... can use some change in the front
I had quit wearing ... because I couldn't find a pair that fits so well until now. Wow, ... amazing, no need for alterations. However, the front still forms horizontal 'pleats' around the crotch area when it shouldn't. I doubt it is just me but it could be. It is less benign than the other BR fits (Martin, Logan and Sloan) that I have tried but still some room for improvement. Also love the fact that ... lined. I normally have to go at least a ... two up in ... because I have a time waist but wide hips but in ... 6 ... perfectly (5'4", 134 lbs) Check out the matching jacket, it is absolutely adorable. I bought the jacket first and then the skirt and the ... Unfortunately, the skirk slides up all the way to ... breasts when worn with a shirt tucked in. Not sure why. It fits fine otherwise. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the lightweight wool collection. And did I say that jacket is amazing?

Jacksons, my reliable favorites
Thank goodness a wide range of Jackson ... back because the Martin ... has been all over the board. ... slim the waist and I always get compliments on them. The slanted pocktes don't bulge and ... aren't snug in the rear. I am 5'9" and the regular length was good with heels. My only gripe is the rise is short. If BR offered 0 talls, I would have went w/ ... would size down at least 1 size from your Martin size.

Love Jackson ...
I'm pretty sure I have the Jackson ... just about every color/pattern. ... curvy girl's best friend as far as work appropriate slacks. My only beef is that there are slight variations in ... among the different colors. For example, the black seemed to ... little snugger than the grey. I'm not sure if it's a QA issue or by design. So, I took off a star for that. Other than that, I love them. BR please keep adding additional colors/patterns!

I have ginormous pear shaped hips, so I bought ... because ... were advertised for hippy girls. Its true, ... well around ... massive hips and thunder thighs, but its too baggy around the rest of the legs for ... taste. I'm going to try another style of ... slimmer ... see if its not too tight around ... hips. Otherwise, I will probably have ... altered. ... nice ...

Probably best suited for VERY curvy girls!
I fell in love with the Lightweight wool suit jacket and wanted a pair of ... match. Initially I tried on the Martin ... simply did not work for me- the rear was not flattering and the fabric puckered terribly in front. Then I ordered the Jackson ... online because I tend to find that "curvy" cuts work best for me. I am 5'6", 125 pounds, with an average build but full in the hips and butt. I ordered a ... 2 in the Jackson ... believe the Jacksons are made for someone who is VERY curvy (hourglass figure) because for me, ... had way too much room in the rear and the fabric actually sagged. The leg was a bit too wide leg for ... taste as well. Lastly I decided to give the Logan ... shot and the ... 2 ... perfectly and are just what I ... been looking for! But I think for a very curvy girl with full hips/thighs/rear and a smaller waist, ... could work really well.

I returned for a regular, which was a great length - and then I washed ... - maybe I shouldn't ... stretch in ... usually wash well. The shrinkage in the length brought ... usually ... regular ... fall - above the ankle. I'm going to see if I can ... tailor bring the length down. I may order the longs for the next pair ... wash ... probably shrink to the correct length. Overall I like the ... - if I can just figure out how to get the length I need.

Great skinny ... just a couple of ideas to make them even better
... great, and ... straighter ... knees down through the calves which makes them slim but not suctioned to your body. ... very comfortable, and I'm speaking as one who often can't wear the Martin ... due to their short rise. The one suggestion I ... would be to make all the lengths a bit shorter on ... always buy the ... because I'm 5'10" with a long torso, so I need the higher rise and usually need the longer leg length with heels. However, it is not necessary for skinny ... long as boot cuts or flares, so the 36" on the ... sizes is a little ... long for most ... ladies, and I would guess the 33" would be a little long on average height ladies. In addition, it would be nice if the fabric were machine washable, especially since I already find myself wearing ... all the time! Overall great ... though.

Trousers that ... "T"... for every occassion!
I recently ordered a pair of Martin black womens ... trousers... with the skinny leg and was tickled to find when putting ... well ... were made and how ... skimmed ... body! The fabric has a bit of stretch and a such a nice finish. I wear ... casual with boots and flats and dress ... up easily with heels . ... most versatile pair of trousers in ... closet!

I am on the more voluptuous side and often struggle to find ... flatter ESPECIALLY work ... do exactly that!! The material is durable and stretchy and the ... slimming! I do find that in terms of BR ... am in the fuzzy area where the ... long and the regular is ... short so I encourage 5'9 plus to err on the side of caution and go with the ... if its ... long its an easier fix than vice versa. Again I love ... soon as the black pair came in I ordered the Navy and the martin ... suit ...

I never shop at BR but had stopped in and tried the martin ... really liked them, and at checkout i got a coupon for 40% off one item online. So I wanted another pair of martin's. I am 5'9 and ... hourglass shape. ... hips aren't ... wide but I ... booty. ... excellent!! ... true to ... over the butt and come in at the waist nicely (prob wouldn't work if you had a flat butt - ... great for me. thanks pilates!) The length is very long - I am ... made for someone like 6'3. No worries though ... actually look really cute cuffed. I'm usually ... cuffed look so this is a bonus. One last comment, someone mentioned the fabric was shiny? Mine is not at all. The fabric is a SUPER comfy stretchy blend. Love them!

these leggings are great! they are so soft and ... perfectly. i'm very short (5 ft) and have a hard time finding cropped ... heard about these ... my sister who got them a couple months ago and though i would try them myself, it was not a mistake. they are easy to clean you just have to pop them in the washer; just make sure to hang them to dry so they dont shrink too much.

You can't get more comfortable than these cotton leggings. They flatter and draw attention to shapely or slim legs, but I'm sure they would look good on larger legs too. You can really wear ... SO many tops, even under a short dress and with flat sandals, high heels, or even sneakers when the need arises. I've worn ... planes and they have replaced my standard velour or terry ... travelling. ... leightweight and stretchy- and I only stop wearing them when it's cold outside and I switch to full length and thicker leggings that I don't wear in the summer. As the petite Asian, one of many international students in the great metropolis of Boston, I find it difficult to find the right pair of jeans, ... but everything at Banana Republic Petites fits me to a T. I was pleased to find a pair of leggings that weren't too sheer, weren't too think (like runner's spandex) and also flattered my figure (and I'm a difficult size to shop for!)! The cropped leggings I bought were comfortable, made with good quality, and to top it off -- it is so stylishly versatile nowadays! I wear them in combination with a shirt dress and belt to school, or for dressier occasions, I pair them with BR's very own drop waist dress for a more formal look. Keep up the good work, guys! Good quality basic
Someone once said to me 'leggings aren't ... added 'leggings aren't ... unless you're on a long flight or bumming round the house'. These ... well, are comfortable, seem to repel my dog's hair better than other leggings I've had and look like they'll wash well. As a petite gal (5'0", 110lbs), the XS hits mid calf, just what I was after. Less one star for the price point (5 stars if you're able to purchase them using a promo code!).

Fabulous!
I ripped my old black ... so bummed! BR didn't have the same style anymore. I ordered several different styles both from Gap and BR to find my next favorite. Found them!!! These fit a bit snugger than my normal trousers, so I bought a size up. Could be that I needed it anyway though. I wear a ... they are a great length, the fabric is just the right thickness, and they are fully lined. Definitely will be buying again.

Great for athletic bodies
To the people who think these ... too tight on the hips and thighs to be appropriate for work, you need to read the fit description before criticizing a pant for doing exactly what it's designed to do: to give people with narrow hips and a small butt a pant that isn't saggy around the crotch and baggy around the thighs. These ... straight figure, not a curvy one. I have narrow hips and muscular legs. These ... perfect. I have been searching far and wide for good ... wear to professional conferences and lectures, and I've finally found them. I don't have to have muffin top if I buy ... fit my hips or a funny looking crotch if I buy ... fit my waist. These fit everywhere just right. I also found these ... true to size in general, but small as compared to casual ... Logan fit. I'm 5'7, usually a size 12, and I weigh 170. I have an athletic build (with some fat over it), especially in my legs (runner and cyclist), and am glad to have ... don't make my legs look lumpy from the muscles.

Great pants, wish the sizing were more consistent
These pants have a slim cut that works well on a less curvy figure. They are a great replacement for some old trouser cut pants that were really starting to look dated. The wool is very smooth and the full lining means no itching. The black pants are smaller overall than the black/grey stripe ... had to order a size smaller than the taupe Logan fit straight leg ... ordered just a few weeks ago. I am delighted that BR offers such a wide selection of tall size clothing. I just wish the sizing were more consistent so I wouldn't need to order multiples every time.

The Absolute BEST ... out there--WE NEED MORE CHOICES IN LOGAN!
If I could rate these ... 6 star I would. I don't why people are saying it's not for the curvy figure, I'm 5'6", have normal hips and small waist (probably wouldn't ... ladies with larger thighs). What I love about these ... quality is SUPERIOR; the ... clean and extremely flattering; and the sillouhette is very lovely and versitile with everything from dressy silk blouses, fitted sweaters, the new flowy blouses and sweaters, flat shoes a la Audrey Hephburn, or high heels. So glad they come in other colors---but now we need a camel color!!!! NEVER had a pair of ... me better---ALWAYS get compliments and asked where I bought them....do love to share that info!

These ... far the best model I have purchased from Banana Republic. The fit is slimming an the cut is just right. I don't have wide hips (hourglass shape), but am a short 5'3" ... so I purchased the short inseam and they are perfect! The only thing I would recommend to BR designers is to make them with pockets (these don't have any pockets), and in a variety of colors so I can get more of them. Thanks BR!

I wrote a review earlier but I wanted to write another review. These ... great, with the correct size. I wear a 6 in Ryan, and the Logan 6 was a full size too large. I returned them and bought a size 4 and now these ... fit perfect. A fantastic pair of slacks. I also ordered the Logan Plaid and they are 1/2 a size too big. I exchanged for a size 4 also, and they ... well everywhere except the waist. I have to let out the waist and they should be fine. The Logans are modern and sleek fitting-- cool sexy ... Along with the Ryan Straight cut, they are the only BR ... wear. Size down and you'll love these ...

Versatile Work ...
I am 5'9 and these ... perfect length with heels. I was expecting a thicker wool pant, but it is definitely a wool blend, so they may not stand up to the Chicago winter. It is definitely a sexier black work pant which will transition well from work to happy hour. I would definitely purchase this cut again!

Great ...
I love these ... looking for a nice pair of work ... these are perfect. Its a lightweight fabic that didnt wrinkle, gather or loose shape by the end of the day. The looked just as great by 5pm as they did at 5am when I put them on (yes long day). I am 5'10 AA female with a curvy but toned body. The ... made my legs look longer and leaner. I ordered a size 14T to accomodate my round rear but that meant the waist was too big but that's typical. What's not typical is that my legs looked longer and leaner. My only complaint is not the ... but the price and the ... have to be dry cleaned.

Tall ... come in all shapes and sizes.
Please make tall pants in a size 0. Just because a woman is tall does NOT mean she is bigger. Tall ... come in all shapes and sizes, just like average and petite ... Also, it would be FANTASTIC if you would start selling your tall clothes in the store - especially since you sell petite clothes in the store already. Tall ... already suffered for years and years not being able to find anything at all (you can hem a pant that is too long, but you can't extend a pant that is too short, yet petite has been around for ages!) - now that clothes are available to actually fit us, it would be awesome to be able to try them on in the store instead of waiting 5-9 business days to see how they look with all the other clothes we can purchase same day at the store. Thanks! PS THANK YOU for making these pants! For long and lean people, they are SO perfect. They don't hug me too tight because unfortunately I don't have a lot to hug. I used to look like I was SWIMMING in my suit pants. Now they look just right! And for [$] you can't go wrong. Especially when other designers (READ: Theory!) are selling their long and lean pants for over $200...unlined! Thanks, Banana!

Modern & slimming ...
I fell in love with the Lightweight wool suit jacket and wanted a pair of ... match. Initially I tried on the Martin fit ... These simply did not work for me- the rear was not flattering and the fabric puckered terribly in front. Then I ordered the Jackson fit online because I tend to find that "curvy" cuts work best for me. I am 5'6", 125 pounds, with an average build but full in the hips and butt. I ordered a size 2 in the Jackson fit. I believe the Jacksons are made for someone who is VERY curvy (hourglass figure) because for me, they had way too much room in the rear and the fabric actually sagged. As a side note, I will mention that the Jackson was a bit too wide leg for my taste as well. Lastly I decided to give the Logan pant a shot but was not optimistic. Imagine my surprise when the size 2 fit perfectly and are just what I have been looking for! I love how the slim leg makes me look ... lean. When paired with the suit jacket, this creates a very professional and stylish look.

Nice ... but not for a suit...
While these ... fit well and are true to size, they are not very appropriate for work or as part of a suit. They are VERY slim fitting, and while they made my legs look a mile long, they are too form fitting to wear to the office. Perhaps these would be good for wearing out in the evening, but I find it odd that BR pairs this new cut with their suit jackets. I purchased my normal size and the ... version so I could wear with higher heels (I'm 5'7" and find that the Regular length is not long enough to wear with heels), and they were a bit loose in the waist but fit well otherwise. As a nice pair of dressy ... these would be great, but I was really after something to wear to work with the matching suit jacket.

These ... look great and are long enough to wear with heels! I'm 6 feet ... it's wonderful to find ... long enough for us ... ladies. These ... very professional looking and hang nicely. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal size, but otherwise great purchase.

Love these ...
I'm 5'3 and a size 4. I'm too ... petite ... too short for regular ... heels. I buy these in short which are longer than petites. Love the fabric and love the ... originalliy ordered a pair in Gray and went back and bought a pair in Black too.

BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these ... they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 ... very difficult for me to find ... great. These ... remarkable. I would say that they ... very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect ... these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering ... comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress ... My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin ... suit ... 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin ... stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and ... ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not ... like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and ... ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got ... like the martin ... used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!

SPECTACULAR ...
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the ... matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to ... perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that ... same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my ... That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for ... same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized ... example, for me the regular length is too short and the ... length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the ... get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these ... if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

These are the black ... everyone needs in their closet! They are a very classic style - not too wide or narrow. I ordered the ... length and they are perfect with heels for this ... girl. The quality is great and they launder well. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a year round pair of black ...

Perfect black ... work
I am wearing my Martin ... suit ... first time today and I can't believe how much I love a basic black trouser. First of all it is great to find a ... trouser ... true mid rise that isn't too high. Second, they are very well made. Third, they make my legs look amazing. Finally, and here is the surprising part considering I have a very straight figure - they actually make my booty look perky! I think I will order them in every color now.

Martin ... Trouser
These are the best fitting ... I've found. I am 5 feet 4 1/2 inches ... weigh 128 pounds. The size 6 fits me perfectly. The only problem I have is with the length. The regular comes in a 32 inch length. I need 31 inches as I only wear heels that are about 1 inch high. With a 2 inch heel, they would be perfect. The material is nice. It has enough wool in it to keep you warm during the cold months, but not enough to make the ... look heavy. They are sleek looking and flatter my figure. Because of the stripe, I can choose a solid color blazer to wear with them that picks up the color of the stripe and have a great looking outfit for dress, or wear a sweater or shirt with them for a more casual look. They are so versitile.

The Martin ... one of the slimmer fits of the ... collections. With the straight leg ... lengthens your legs and is very flattering to the body. It's great with the matching jacket. I just wish BR makes a size 0 in the ... fits. I got size 00 in the regular ... heels, it is slightly short. However, I found a great pair of shoes that is perfect for the ...

Makes you a ... drink of water...
These ... make you look ... & leggy!! I'm only 5' 6" and I feel 5 foot 9 (with heel of course) Speaking of heels, the regular length (8) ... long enough to hit a nice break on the instep. The waist is a little tight but that's me, not the ... Part of me wishes I'd gone up a size to a 10 and the other part is glad this will give me incentive to stay slim. I want to wear these for many years!

not for the curvy
I was excited about these ... but alas, the ... not for the curvy. I am 5'10'' and ordered these in a ... length was right, the waist was right, but the hip area- very tight. I ended up exchanging these for the jackson ... same size and the ... much better for me. Overall nice ... pairs nicely with the jacket for a clean, flattering, lightweight black suit.

Bring back the old BR
I have loyally shopped at Banana Republic for at least 10 yrs and have noticed a serious flaw in their new lines. These ... cut to different specs than the original Martin style too high waisted and too tight in leg and rear. I am only 5'8" and need a ... here which seems odd to me. Most of the new styles seem like petite cuts. My pair of Martin ... 5 or 6 yrs ago ... great still and are a size 2 but new style a 4 is very tight.
