These pants are AMAZING!!!!!!!! BANANA REPUBLIC, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS & PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THEM!!!!!!!!!! BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit great. These pants are remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect pants; these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress pants. My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit pants in 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit pants I used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!

SPECTACULAR PANTS
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

Perfect black pants!
These are the black pants that everyone needs in their closet! They are a very classic style - not too wide or narrow. I ordered the "tall" length and they are perfect with heels for this tall girl. The quality is great and they launder well. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a year round pair of black pants.

Perfect black pants for work
I am wearing my Martin fit suit pants for the first time today and I can't believe how much I love a basic black trouser. First of all it is great to find a tall trouser pant with a true mid rise that isn't too high. Second, they are very well made. Third, they make my legs look amazing. Finally, and here is the surprising part considering I have a very straight figure - they actually make my booty look perky! I think I will order them in every color now.

Nice lined pants!
These pants look great and are long enough to wear with heels! I'm 6 feet tall and it's wonderful to find pants long enough for us tall ladies. These pants are very professional looking and hang nicely. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal size, but otherwise great purchase.

Love these Pants
I'm 5'3 and a size 4. I'm too tall for petite pants and too short for regular pants with heels. I buy these in short which are longer than petites. Love the fabric and love the fit. I originalliy ordered a pair in Gray and went back and bought a pair in Black too.

Love the ... longer than the ones I tried in the store, belt loops are a bonus
I have a couple pairs of Martin Fit ... first pair I will have to have altered to make about 3/4 inch shorter. I am 5'7" and have always been able to wear regular length BR ... off the rack. I tried these on in the store and they were perfect with a 2" heel, but these ones are just too long. I debated sending them back and seeing if they would send me a different pair that would maybe be the right length, but I'll just pay the $20 to get them altered instead (hate getting ... altered). They would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to alter them. I am a slim pear shaped gal and these ... fit great, and the lining makes the ... nice and sleek, no bumpy bulges on the behind. I got these with the blazer to wear as a ... one of the only suits I found that you can wear a standard belt with, which in turn, is what I attach my gun to. So, ladies who wear guns to work, I highly recommend a BR ...

Inconsistent Size
BR's Martin Fit ... always my favorite. However, this ... suit ... didn't work, something wrong with the size. I am normally a size 4, but this one runs very tight around the hips and thigh. I assumed this one had the same design and cutting as the Navy color one, because they came from the same suiting collection this season. However, the Navy one fits perfectly, while this one doesn't work. Tried to go a size up, then the size 6 was way too long and too loose around the legs...

not for the curvy
I was excited about these pants, but alas, the fit... not for the curvy. I am 5'10'' and ordered these in a tall- the length was right, the waist was right, but the hip area- very tight. I ended up exchanging these for the jackson fit in the same size and the fit is much better for me. Overall nice pant, pairs nicely with the jacket for a clean, flattering, lightweight black suit.

Love the cut, wish they would bring the old fabric back.
I have 3 BR suits and they have held up great. Went to buy 1 for me and 1 for my sister this year and so disappointed in the fabric. The new fabric wrinkles much easier and collects lint like crazy. I had to return and now searching for a new brand. Would like to avoid that pain and BR bring better fabric back!!

These were just awful.
I've owned 3 lightweight wool suits since 2005. They're the best suits. Over the years, the jackets have been fine but I've had to order new ... few times to have extra, or because they've worn out. They changed to a much cheaper wool, a rough texture lining and the ride is just awful. The "waist" goes well above my waist and the crotch is still very low. Awful.
