SPECTACULAR PANTS
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

Love these pants, more colors please!
I love these pants, I have a hard time finding pants that fit me well (I'm 5'10") so the fact that they come in tall is great. Would love to see the martin fit tall pants in more colors like gray or navy.

Great pant!!
Banana Republic is one of the only companies left that makes a flattering pant in a 36" length for ... women. I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. I bought the Martin fit in Size 14 and it fit wonderfully! Very flattering for curves. I will probably still need to have mine unhemmed for x tra length with heels, but otherwise a fantastic pant for work or casual wear!! Only downer is that they only come in black. I wish BR would expand their color selections.

Disappointed in Fit
I have been very disappointed with the Martin fit since it was changed. Several ladies have said the sizing has changed and so do I. I have not changed sizes for quite some time, but I cannot count on things to fit. This is true not just with Martin pants but with all the clothes I've wanted lately. Ordering via the internet was a real treat, but in many ways lately, I cannot trust sizing. Too bad too because I still love the clothes. Photographs are great, but in real life NOT. A very long term customer has had to go elsewhere quite a bit. I am very sorry for that.

What happened? Please bring back the old Martin cut!!!
I've worn Martin trousers for years -- it has always been a safe bet, good fabric and very flattering fit. But last fall Banana Republic must have changed it quite a bit -- I went in to pick up a few pairs and all were unflattering! I normally wear a six but had to go down to a 4, and they were baggy at the waiste and back of the leg. I'm 5'6 and 125 lbs -- average build to normally is easy to find clothes. Please BR -- bring back the old version! My alternative is to buy my work trousers at JCrew, but not only are they more expensive, but they aren't lined like the Martin. It would be a real shame to see this old favorite lost forever!

Can risk the sizing any longer
As so many reviewers have stated, BR sizing has changed and seems to keep changing making it impossible to purchase online. I have been a loyal customer since the days when you still had a safari theme! In fact I have a silk blouse hanging in my closet from F00, which is a testament to your former quality. I have always found your clothes to be well fitting and a good value. Unfortunately, after buying 5 pairs of winter Martin pants I can no longer risk the variation in sizing. I just tried them on and one fit perfectly, two were tight around the hips (and can only be worn with long sweaters), and two would not even zip! I am aware that clothing manufacturers are up against it these days but you are really doing yourselves a disservice with this type of poor quality control. There are just too many choices in your price range ($100 for a pair of average quality pants) even with your constant discounting. For the past two years I have seen the complaints escalate with no consideration or response from customer service and unfortunately I am forced to no longer purchase from your site as the number of poor experiences has far exceeded the number of good.
