The nearly ideal ...
Ok, so I'm picky. If I can change anything, I'd get rid of the pocket and make it more sleek. I'd also like to add a stretch version (if that's even possible with the non iron). Otherwise, these shirts are perfect. Like another reviewer said, it is a bit snug around the chest/shoulders. But, unless your a meathead, you'll be okay. The neck is finally a size that a normal person can wear, unlike BR's dress shirts of past. Great ... add to your collection. I have multiple colors and will be getting more of these in white. You can never have enough white dress shirts!

Loving these shirts, bought 3 earlier in the year and 3 more recently - Best shirts ever
I bought three earlier this year and 3 more last week all different colors. Of the various non iron dress shirts that I have bought over the years (Brooks Brothers, Joseph A. Banks, Tommy and BR), these are the second best (BB #1). The only place it tends to wrinkle is where the elbow bends, but only when it is 100% humid, but that is to be expected with most shirts under most conditions (except BB). The color, feel and look easily surpass all other shirts even BB. Shirts from BB can be washed, dried and hung and will look perfect, really, so there is no need to pay $2/shirt for laundrying them. I didn't try this with these BR shirts, but I also "now" have my laundry picked up, but I doubt they will look the same. I had the sleeves shortened on these, but never before on any BR shirts, so the real cost went up by $20 for tailoring. I have received several complements on the color, look and feel from other women.

Great For Work!
Pleated back allows a little more room for movement which I prefer at work. Prefer slim fits for most other occasions. White ... somewhat sheer but looks fine with a v neck tee underneath. While classic fit is more roomy than slim fit, BR classic fit is not nearly as "blousy" as other classic fit shirts in my closet. Though a bit pricey and selection could be better, really love these shirts for work!!

Excellent well fitting non iron ...
I've bought non iron shirts from other retailers such as JOS Bank and Brooks Brothers. They all have good non iron material but the fit is less than appealing. These banana republic non iron shirts are outstanding. The cloth material does not feel like cardboard or stiff. Its not thin or cheap. On top of that they fit very well. Almost like a modern fit but not too slim or baggy. Love these specific shirts. I wish BR would make more shorts like these in other colors.

Great ... - No more ironing or running to the cleaners!
Love this ... worth every penny as it will save you money because you don't have to go to the cleaners, and/or time, because it does not require ironing.....not even a touch up once you take it from the dryer. Fits great. We ordered the classic fit, but if you are lean, the trim fit works good. My son in law who is very picky about his shirts (and usually has his shirts custom made), ordered 4 of these in the fitted size and loves them. He doesn't like the chemicals and startches in regular professional cleaning. He is a doctor, so he needs to look "crisp" on his clinic days. I still can't figure out how these shirts are ironless when they are 100% cotton. We now have it in all colors, gingham and striped, and wear it casual with jeans and with a suite every now and then. Very versitile. Now I rarely get that ironing board out. I would not take the time to write this if we weren't crazy about this ...

Well made dress ... guys with some muscle
My boyfriend hates dress shirts but immediately liked this ... He's had a problem with other dress shirts being too wide or too narrow, as he's not overweight and he's not a thin guy. His chest is about 39 inches around and his waist is about 32 inches. He's very happy with this ... medium and actually wants to buy more. This marks the first time he's ever wanted to buy more dress shirts. The material is soft and the wrinkles do come out on their own! Good news for me -- less ironing.

I've loved the non iron shirts for years, but recently put on a few, ahem, extra pounds. I stayed in my same size and moved from the slim cut to the modern cut. The size "upgrade" was perfect. The shirts travel very well in a suitcase all day and need just a light iron before wearing. Through the day, the shirts perform exactly as described and you don't ever look disheveled at the end of the day (well, you might look disheveled, but the ... still looks great.)

Great looking ...
I have bought three of these shirts now for my boyfriend. He and I both love them because they fit him so well and look great when we are going out. He has a long torso and arms so usually dress shirts don't fit him correctly, these are a perfect fit. I also love them because they require no ironing!

Not The Same
This ... has changed. It is not the same fit or quality of previous versions. I've been purchasing the non iron classic fit shirts for years now. The material is thin and feels cheap and the sleeves on the tall size are very short. I'm 6'5", 220 lb so finding tall sizes is difficult. I've been very happy with BR tall dress shirts for a long time, but it seems that I'll need to look elsewhere. Way to cheap out BR and ruin a great ... Returned.

I have been a fan of these shirts for many years. I have to comment that i have observed a change in the material quality. I too have had the elbows wear thin and rip in very short period of time. I figured it was due to my working out (not in the ... but other reviews with same concern now better explains it.

Very disappointing
Ordered several of these shirts online. Collar provided with the shirts are too small. One ... clearly marked and as the wrong size. I returned the ... sized wrong to a local store (Easton) but they would not credit me what I paid for the ... don't understand as the ... clearly labeled wrong (was not my fault); I even had the receipt but the salesperson refused to refund what I paid for the ...

Perfect Pima Tees
Tried a lot of tees for underneath sweaters and shirts. These are the best. Sleeves short enough to be hidden under a polo sleeve yet not too short to serve its purpose. Not too thick and not too thin of material. Very soft feel and the perfect stretch in it.

Great basic for every guy to have
I bought these shirts for my fiancee and he loved them. They are so soft and he can wear them alone or under shirts. Great for every guy!

Great Workout Shirts
Shirts are high quality for working out and go through many washes. Shirts get softer in every wash. Replacing all of my workout wear with these.

More Than an Undershirt!
The white shirts are excellent for wearing underneath dress shirts while the black and grey shirts are very good for more casual purposes. The material is relatively thick, the collar is robust and the length is good. The only negative that i can see is that the collar does not stretch very much naturally.

The best T ... I''ve ever bought
I LOVE these t shirts. Yes, they are expensive for an under ... but they are the best t ... I've ever owned. The material is soft and thick. They actually fit good in all areas. These t shirts fit better than most BR shirts I've bought. Buy them now before they change the fit to slim fit or something stupid.

Super comfortable and soft

Great all around T ...
This T ... great! It can be worn as a comfortable undershrt under dressier button down collared shirts or on its own. What I particularly like about the ... collar/neck does not get stretched out. It fits nicely around your neck! Of course, the ... extremely soft and of great quality. I have a bought a few of these a few years ago and they still are in great shape.

Under ...
Great under shirts. Wish they cost less. Used a gift card that I got for Christmas on these under shirts because I can't find anything in the store that fits me. Pants 36x36, shirts xl.

Not as good as used to be
I've worn these basic BR crew tee shirts for years, and been very happy with their overall quality and durability, until this newest one, purchased in Dec. 2012. It's the first BR tee I've bought in a few years (because they held up so well), but this current version seems to be of noticeably lower quality than those of previous years. The fit is looser, and the fabric and seams feel thinner and flimsier, particularly around the neck. In fact, the brand new one has less snap than the ones I've been wearing for years. Hey BR--please look at the quality and go back to the excellence of previous years. Also, please return to the fit dimensions of previous years: the size medium is now baggier than my old ones, and I guarantee I'm not skinnier than I used to be. BR tees used to be a little more expensive but a lot better than other tee shirts; now they are a little more expensive but no better than many other brands.

Very Dissapointed with this purchase
I went on various T ... websites looking for info on shirts whose collars do not roll. This one was recommended. Unfortunately even at [$]/t ... collars rolled the first time I wore them. In addition, the shirts didn't feel true to size.

feels like a compression tee
My husband loves these stretch pima cotton tees. I order the talls from the website for him. They are expensive so I wait till I can get a discount. He wears the black and grey ones by themselves and the white ones as under shirts. The white ones don't seem to have quite the quality as the grey ones do. He wears an ex large in shirts but I get the large in these because he likes them to be tight.

Perfect layering tee
I needed some new plain white tees for wearing under my dress shirts for work and I picked up a couple of these to try them out. They fit beautifully. The stretch allows the tee to fit to your body better. If you wear slimmer, more tailored dress shirts, then this tee is ideal as it fits snug against you and gives you an even more tailored look.

Nice Undershirt
I purchased a few white mediums.... I'm 5' 9" / 175 and the medium fit well. They're not skin tight, but they're noticeably more narrow from below the armpit down to the waist than the v neck straight pima cotton shirts that I purchased last year. Pros: sleeve are a little longer, stretch fabric feels comfortable. Cons: the shirts I got are a little longer than what I consider ideal.

Great Everyday Undershirt
I've been wearing these for the past 2-3 years now, they go great with my fitted shirts and if I have to wear a suit as well. The only thing I have that knocked off a star above was that they dont last very long. A set of 5 shirts will last approx. 7-9 month before the material/feel changes and lastly the color starts yellowing a bit. Other than that, these are great and I have them in all colors!

Only Okay For Me
I bought a few of these shirts and quite frankly they are not worth the premium price. They fit okay and they keep their shape but the collars, which are important to me, are not very good. The collar seems to be less robust on the stretch shirts than on the regular pimas.

Nice, but there are problems
I ordered this primarily to be used as an undershirt. I am 6'3" and I appreciated the extra length on the tall size. They tuck well and are form fitting. The material is not particularly soft, but it does look good and could be worn by itself. The shirts do shrink a fair amount after washing making the fit a bit too tight. The neck does "bacon" as well. I like the ... fit and length, but would not order again due to the high price and problems after washing.

Disappointed
The collars have become cheap. Previously, the tees had nice, high collars that were tight. Now, they are made looser and don't hold up. If you want your chest hair sticking out over the top of your tee than this is for you. A real shame, I used to really like these tees and would buy 12-15 a year. I can't use them now with the loose collars since I am not looking for the "boat" type tees with collars hanging loosely. Not a good ... wear under work dress shirts anymore. I won't be buying them again.

Quality is all gone. Disappointing.
I have been buying these shirts for 7 years, before they even used Pima Cotton on them. I have easily purchased over 100 of them. They have never let me down... until this year's lot came out of the produciton line. These shirts will now lose their elasticity in just one wash. The neckline, which has always been 100% perfect (and incredibly flattering), now becomes a mishappen mess after - you guessed it - just one wash. The shoulders are also too stiff and boxy now. What a disaster - I still have some of the original shirts from 5 years ago that are in great condition. These "improvements" they've made to them this year have chased me away as a customer forever and driven me to AX's line of shirts.

This is a great ... its very comfortable and light. I use this ... weekends with a sweater and it looks great. I have been using the tall size version of these shirts because they are longer and sit below the waste. the only downfall is that you cant walk into the BR store and purchase them there, you have to go online and to buy them. cheers!!!!

Great Shirts, need more colors!
Ordered 3 of these shirts. The fit is tremendous. I am a taller guy, and the length is perfect, while the chest and body of the ... have a nice tailored fit to them. Only downfall is lack of color choices, I'm looking for these in every color, not just what's shown!

Great v neck ...
Recently started my collection of BR V & Crew Neck t shirts. My workplace is causal dress, so I like to wear these t shirts a lot because they are comfortable and easy to wear with jeans. The v necks are so versatile that I wear these going out too. I like my shirts some what fitted, so the fitted styles workout for me the best.

Great Shirts
I bought three of the pima t shirts and really like them. They are comfortable and fit great. I bought my shirts "tall" and I have to say I really like the "tall" fit from BR. I would definitely buy these shirts again.

fits too loose for use as undershirts
Got these for my hubby that normally wears size L for BR clothes but these shirts were way too big to wear as undershirts. They do feel nice and soft so I ended up exchanging for size M.

Nice Undershirt
My only slight complaint (& reason for four stars) is that a trimmer fit in the chest would yield a better fit for a real undershirt. That said, the shirts wash up well, the v neck keeps its form and is not too deep and the material is very soft and a great weight. These are definitely the kind of undershirts a guy can hang out in when the overshirt comes off.

Best Work ... Period
I own four or five of these shirts and I love them. They're pretty easy to get ironed, and they always look very crisp and professional. Also, I am 5'11" and Gap button up shirts' sleeves are not long enough. Buying tall sizes don't typically work for me either with shirts because the body of the ... then gets too big. These shirts solve that issue for me, the body fits perfect and the sleeves are just the right length. As reference I am wearing a size 14 in these at the moment and I am 195lbs with a 38B size chest.

Great ...
I love these Non Iron Fitted Shirts from BR. All colors are great and the fitted shirts are slimmer around the waist than the tailored. For me a better fit. I always order Size 4 in the fitted shirts, i'm 5.7, 36B, 120lbs. Suggestion: if you have a slightly bigger chest, i would order at least ONE size up, Material is easy to wash (i wash it inside out though) and i don't put them in the dryer, just hang them on a hanger... dry in one night! Easy to iron (I also iron inside out, especially the darker colored shirts). Would suggest these shirts to everyone who likes to look great in the office, on the weekends, at night... you can wear them at all times with sweaters, blazers, sweatshirts... thanks BR!

Works freat for me, might not for you
I absolutely LOVE these shirts. Great quality and great fit, beautiful colors and easy care. I own them in 4 colors. With that said, I am usually a hard to fit body type. I have broad shoulders, long arms, and a very small bust. And I like my shirts to fit very close to my body in a slim fit. If this sounds like you, you'll love these shirts. The sleeves are longer than most other shirts, though not quite as long as if they were a true tall. This ... probably wouldn't fit great on a person with a large bust, and it's not for someone looking for a relaxed fit.

Great ... order a size up
I am an in senior management and like to wear button down shirts at work for their practicality and professional look. After reading all the reviews about the shirts being too tight across the chest (even for small busted women like myself), I ordered a size up to 2. Size 2 is comfortable and fits great. There is nothing worse than a button down ... gaping open in the front when you are at work! BananaRepublic has received many criticisms about the inconsistencies in their products' sizes. I hope their corporate office is paying attention and have plans to better communicate to their customers.

Love these shirts, hate the chest sizing
I love these shirts, fabric looks gorgeous (have gray, purple, black, and Brazilian blue)l. I haven't washed them yet, but probably will have professionally laundered. Agree with all the reviewers - chest is VERY tight. I had to add hook and eye to all the shirts where it pulls (that was a frustrating experience in itself). I typically wear a 0 or 2 from Banana - 4 fits better on the chest but too baggy all over.

Great ...
I am not a big fan of button down shirts in general, but I love this one! I have a smaller bust so when I read other reviews about the ... being tight across the chest I figured it would be prefect for me and it is! The sleeves are also a great length (I find many button down shirts to be a little short for my arms). I ordered the black and plan to purchase more!

Nice, but small
I have bought many of the non iron shirts over the years and they are nice staples.I always get them on sale for (at least 40% off) which makes it worthwhile. I never tumble them but hang dry on hangers, which seems to make them last longer - less wear and tear on the fabric. However, like so many others have pointed out, the tighter version (the "fitted" ... small and not great for a medium or larger chest. The looser "tailored" ... much more size accurate. BR used to make this ... French cuffs too and it was super elegant, but no more unfortunately. I am a 5´6, 128 pound woman with a 34C cup and I am a typical size 6. But not for thie BR shirts. I buy a size 6 in tailored, but a size 8 in the fitted shirts (and even that is somewhat tight). If you haven't bought this ... before, I highly recommend you try the sizing in store before you order as the cut is somewhat iffy and you will probably have to size up, especially if you are larger than an A cup.

Pretty good
These shirts are pretty decent, but the price is too high for such a lukewarm review. I am a petite woman (5 ft, 100 lbs, A cup), and was hoping a 00 stretchy material would fit me better, but the waist, and especially the bust, have too much give. I like jewel tones, so I was pleased to find the shirts are actually much darker than the photos make them seem, but you might be disappointed if you wanted more delicate shades. The material is pretty thick and sturdy, but not very soft. I kept the shirts because I needed some proper business attire, but they just barely fit and I would not buy them again.

I love the non iron shirts as I rarely find time in my schedule to sit down and iron my work shirts and have bought a few in the past. I ordered this sateen one online, which was probably a mistake to not go to the store and try it on to see how it fit. It fit well everywhere except the chest, where it gapped quite a bit. I don't consider myself to have a large chest, but this would barely button over the front. I'm sending it back, unfortunately.

Chest too tight
I agree with the other reviewers. These shirts are too tight across the chest and at the wrist. I don't understand how one year Banana Republic shirts fit perfectly and the next they are too tight??

Size not the same as ones purchased in store <6 months ago
I am very unhappy with the 3 shirts I just purchased. I have several of the same size and fit from the store that fit perfectly. The shirts I purchased online are way too samll and I cannot wear them. I immediatly removed all tags and washed this shirts not thinking that the sizing could have changed on such a classic ... switched from Brooks Brothers non iron button ups becasue I like the fit of the Banana non iron button ups but now am not sure what to do. I am not happy that I have 3 brand new shirts that I cannot use.

Softest Shirts EVER!
My husband loves these shirts! The v neck makes them comfortable for a variety of activities and the softness can not be beat! It's like touching velour but without the bulk or weight. If every man owned one of these, he'd never but another t ... anywhere else!

This is a Great Tee!
This is a great T ... men. My husband loves to use these as under shirts. The fit is great, not too tight or loose. It's a nice soft cotton that doesn't stretch much. He has a ton of them to rotate in an out. These shirts are a staple in any closet.

Super Comfortable, Soft yellow V
I love the soft wash shirts by BR. I've accumulated about six over the last ten months. This banana yellow v neck is a soothing shade without being too bright. It looks good by itself or layered under some type of white and blue button up ... same exceptional quality as those from last spring/summer. I always buy a size small in BR's dress shirts and sweaters, but always buy a medium size in BR's t shirts. Hope this review helps. Cheers!

Great soft shirts, need more colors!
My husband loves these shirts, but needs the Talls. The Tall Large fits him perfectly and holds up very well through many washings. I just wish the Talls came in more colors - he prefers the colorful shirts to the basic black, white, and grey. Please offer more colors and we will buy them!

Best. T ... Ever.
I buy these for my husband and he now has them in every color. They're great alone or for layering under dress shirts, sweaters, whatever. These shirts are so comfortable, the fabric soft, no scratchy tags, and they're cut really well. They're so cozy, I borrow them sometimes. We both LOVE these t shirts.

Sleeve angle strange
Overall, it's a nice casual ... like that the v neck is cut deeper. The ... soft and colors are vibrant. My biggest complaint is in the sleeves. They are attached at a very sharp angle, which causes significant pulling on the ... if you raise your arms at all. Granted, I've noticed this trend with a lot of BR shirts. Keep your arms at your side and the ... looks great.

AWESOME!
My favorite v neck t ... cotton is super soft. the "v" is the perfect size, not very small like the generic ones, but also not a deep V (i have a large neck). I'm 6'2 190lbs with broad shoulders 33-34 pant size, a medium fits me perfect, yeah , they run big. they are great for casual wear with jeans or chinos. I love these shirts! Would give them 5 stars if the sleeves were a tad bit longer but that's just my body profile.

Not as Soft wash as it should be
***This review is for the black vneck "soft wash" tee only*** I've purchased several soft wash tees from BR before and this one does not have the same feel and weight as the others. it is closer to being the standard layering shirts/ Basic cotton pima tee that BR also sells. Slightly stiff as well. Wouldve like to return it but given how they instruct you to wash before wearing, I cant even do an exchange at this point. Quite Disappointing.

not a good color for vneck
I bought these for my husband, and for some reason this particular one doesn't fit him right. He owns 5 different shirts of this same style and they all fit perfect, but for some reason this color doesn't fit well. BR needs to make sure that all the sizing for all colors are the same. Same thing happened with the Emerson pants that we bought. The True navy color in 31x34 fit him just fine, but the olive color in the same size did not.

My husband has been buying the men's tall v necks from Banana Republic for at least 5 years. He has always loved how soft the shirts are and the placement of the moderate v. When we went to stock up, we were disappointed in the new style. The ... thinner than it ever has been before. Also the V neck is lower than it has ever been. My husband was disappointed he paid the price for the ... he can order a tall v neck from somewhere else and get the same quality for half the price. We are returning this item and we probably won't order them again, which is a real shame.
