Great T These T Shirts are a basic part of my wardrobe. They are great quality. I've been wearing them for years and the quality has not changed! I wear them with jeans, under suit jackets, with skirts. They don't lose their color and I will continue to order them. I got them on sale this time and they are soooo worth the money.
Perfect T These tees are the best. I buy them in different colors whenever they go on sale. My most recent acquisitions are pink and black. You can dress them up with a cardigan or scarf for work, or wear them with jeans and flip flops for a casual look. They are always comfortable but never look sloppy.
Love The Fabric and Fitted Style I'm 5'3", 110 pounds, 32D. These very soft T s are quite fitted; I get an XS, but they stretch a bit as I wear them. The V is low, but not so low that I have to wear a tank underneath all the time. What I really like about them is the organic cotton. They wash and wash and hold up for a long time. The black doesn't fade, either. I replenish my supply whenever there is a sale.
Great Basic Tee This t shirt is perfect! It fits great and is very flattering. You can wear it for casual or throw on a dressy skirt and glam it up. I wish I had picked it up in every color while it was on sale but I wil make sure to do it next time there is one!
Best T ever I purchased my first timeless v neck T almost a year ago. I've been waiting for them to go on sale so i could get several more. They are flattering and maintain their shape/size after many washes.
BEST TEE EVER I love these soooooo much, that I tend to buy them like every 3 months, especially when there is a 30 or 40% off sale. Cotton is the best. Wish there were a variety of colors since these only come in white, black and gray.
Best tee I''ve found I wear a lot of tee shirts. Probably too many actually. I have a large bust and have trouble finding tops that fit. This one, though, has not disappointed me. The v neck is very flattering. The fabric is not too stretchy, so the tee never looks too tight. But it's cut slim enough to flatter. A lot of tees are made of very thin fabric that requires you to always wear something else underneath. This tee is not like that. It's very versitle. I wear it with shorts, jeans and belted with skirts. I'm excited to have found it and I hope Banana Republic never takes it off the market.
Nice Tee! Cute tee, great flattering fit! Will be cute with everything I have in my closet, nice length t shirt also, I won't have to worry about pulling it down. I have fairly large breast for my 5'3 frame, but you can never tell wearing this t shirt. The only reason why I didn't give it all stars, I would like the price to come down a tad. Price isn't bad, but nowadays there are some nice t shirts out there that I think can compete with this t shirt given the price. I would like to order another color, but waiitng for a coupon or sale to happen.
unusually shaped v neck great fabric and good fit, except the v neck, which is an unusual neckline, not a typical vneck (and that's why i bought it) does not work too well, i have a slight fold on either side. also on me the v neck is quite narrow, not as in the picture, while it may be a bit small on me, i certainly would not want the bottom to go any lower; it's cut long. as i will rarely or never wear it without another layer, this is not an issue for me--it looks fine under anything. nice soft beigish pink. i love the fabric--it's smooth, soft, and the opposite of flimsy, without being too heavy either. i cannot wear anything but 100% cotton--even the slightest bit of synthetic makes me hot and sweaty--and i find it hard to believe this is all cotton, it is so stretchy and, well, slinky feeling. how does BR do that? also the sale price was great. i could not afford it at full price!
Too tight!!! I was hoping for a basic tee but this just runs too small! I always wear a small in BR tops but this was so tight. If you like it, order a size (or two) up!
Not for petite women. I ordered several of these v- neck t shirts online. The colors were vibrant and the quality seemed as expected. I usually do not get petite tops even though I am 5'1" and 110 lbs. because I have a long torso and I don't want them to be short at the waist. However, the v on these shirts was so deep that I could not wear them without being too revealing, For reference, I ordered size small and the fit was fine everywhere else. Unfortunately, I returned them.
Great shirt! I tried this shirt on at the store and bought a size 8, really needed a size 10 which they didn't have in stock, but bought it anyways because it's exactly what I've been looking for. Fitted, great material, and non iron. Went to the website and not only did they have my size and color, but it was on sale! Living in Hawaii the cost of shipping is always a deal breaker for me. Not only was the shipping free, it was shipped priority I got my order in about a week! Unheard of in Hawaii without having to pay extra. At 5'8", 135 lbs, square shoulders, long arms, size 10 is a perfect fit. The details on the shirt are great, two buttons on the cuff, darts that fit the bust perfectly--high quality and very professional looking. Although the blue striped and plain blue shirts I bought were not the blue color I expected, I can live with that. For me, an excellent purchase. So far I have three of these shirts.
Necessary for any office work wardrobe I wanted to try out this shirt but wanted a cheaper price, so I bought it on sale and when it arrived, immediately tried it on and immediately wore it the very next day. I'm usually a size 10 and reading the reviews I purchased a size 12. It fits perfectly. I will be purchasing some more for my wardrobe. 3 hours into work and I have received many compliments. Great quality.
Beautiful well made shirt I just bought two of these in the store at great sale prices. One is a beautiful berry color and the other a white and purple ish stripe. These are so well made and are excellent for wear in professional office settings. I am 5'6", 137 lbs, 36C and these fit almost perfectly in the size 8. I could actually wear a size 6 for the shoulders, but I need the 8 for the bust. Honestly, although I think these shirts are lovely, I wish they would be just a little bigger in the bust so I could wear the 6, as I am fussy about the shoulder width, and think my proportions are very typical. Comparing prices for other brands, for an almost 100% cotton very well made, shirt, these are a great price even if not on sale. I am hoping they do not shrink when washed, but I think the small amount of spandex in them will prevent that.
This is THE Best Dress Shirt....(buy one size up, though!) I've been wearing these Sateen Non Iron shirts for about five years. It is my go to work shirt, and this is why: 1. You can literally iron it in one minute (yes, even "Non Iron" shirts still need a quick pass with an iron. Use the steam setting to get the kinks out quickly). 2. They look much more expensive than what you pay, especially when you buy them on sale. 3. They are dressy enough to stand on their own. Pair with a skirt or pants then jet out the door. 4. They wear well. I'm too cheap to dry clean my clothes. I wash these in cold water using Downy and line dry them. The color keeps well. My older ones look as good as the day I bought them. In other words, these are a good investment. One last thing, buy one size up for a comfortable fit. I'm a 0/XS in Banana Republic clothes, but buy these in a size 2. It looks more flattering a size up and will allow you to tuck in the tail, which is short on this dress shirt.
Super fitted I also own the previous version of this shirt and was hesitant to buy the new one even though I loved my old ones so much due to the reviews here. However, since I have a small bust and it was on sale, I pulled the trigger... I received it in the mail today ready to return but once I put it on, I had to keep it. It's so hard to find a nicely fitted shirt for a reasonable price but BR has made a great basic work shirt here. I'm a size 0 in the old and new shirts and I do find that the new ones are much more fitted and tapered in the waist and arms which is much better tailoring for me. The old one fit a bit wider all the way around which perhaps fits the average American woman better but for us petite types, this one's a definite winner.
Best on line shopping Usually I'm a size 6, but after a recent purchase discovered I am an 8 in your shirts. Now that I've got the size correct, the fit is consistent and perfect. Also, this on line sale was a great opportunity to stock up on a great shirt! Do it again please :)
Nice, but small I have bought many of the non iron shirts over the years and they are nice staples.I always get them on sale for (at least 40% off) which makes it worthwhile. I never tumble them but hang dry on hangers, which seems to make them last longer - less wear and tear on the fabric. However, like so many others have pointed out, the tighter version (the "fitted" shirt) is small and not great for a medium or larger chest. The looser "tailored" shirt is much more size accurate. BR used to make this shirt with French cuffs too and it was super elegant, but no more unfortunately. I am a 5´6, 128 pound woman with a 34C cup and I am a typical size 6. But not for thie BR shirts. I buy a size 6 in tailored, but a size 8 in the fitted shirts (and even that is somewhat tight). If you haven't bought this shirt before, I highly recommend you try the sizing in store before you order as the cut is somewhat iffy and you will probably have to size up, especially if you are larger than an A cup.
Great basic I work in a cold office and these seem to be the only shirts I have found that actually button up to the neck. Lots of v necks out there so I got three of these when there was a 40% off sale. I do wish they came in tall sizes though. I did feel that it's best to go up a size. Even when I did that the shirt is very fitted especially in the chest and I am not very endowed in that area! I got the tailored style as well and that seems to be a little looser but I also had to go up a size in that one as well. For me personally I always have to go one size up no matter what I buy here - tops and pants.
Just OK Got this shirt on sale-- it's a standard work shirt, looks fine, but not terrific quality (i.e., a lot of loose threads). I normally wear a size 6 and the shirt was a little snug across the chest.
Chest too small - need to try on before buying I bought one of these tops in a size 6 (I normally wear a 4). The shirt fits fantastic. It is a slim fit. A week later, I was in a hurry to catch a flight and needed another shirt. Well, I should have taken the extra time to try it on! Eventhough the label said it was the same size I can't even button it across my chest! Halfway through my trade show I couldn't take it anymore and had to take it off. Thankfully, I had brought clothes with me to wear on the plane ride home!! I am bummed now because I have worn it and I do not have the tags to return it. It wasn't on sale either at the time! You need to try this one on. It is a great shirt if you try EVERY shirt on. If buying online...buy about 1 to 2 sizes up!
trade off between tight bust and loose waist I'm about 5'5, 100lbs and 32A . I usually wear size 0. But for this shirt, I tried size 0 in store and it was a bit too loose pretty much everywhere except in the chest area. Then I oredered size00 online and it fits very well in the shoulder, back and waist...but too tight in the bust. The sleeves were also too long with both sizes and very tight in the wrist ( and I have VERY skinny wrists). I also noticed a difference in the quality of the fabric between the shirt I tried on in store and the one I bought online. They were both white shirts but the one from online had noticeably thinner fabric and didn't look as 'smooth' and shiny as the in store one. Overall I think this is a decent shirt to wear for work (especially considering I bought it during a sale). I just hope BR have better quality control and listen to the cusomers to improve on the fittings.
