Jeans run a bit large
I don't know why I keep convincing myself to buy dark wash jeans. They never never never maintain their dark color. Nevertheless, I found these jeans in the store. First of all, the full in store retail price is [$], whereas the online price is [$]. Why the price discrepancy? Anyhow, it was on sale in the store and there was an extra 40% off deal for reduced priced items. Sweet. I tried on the 33x34 size and while the waist was great, the length was actually a bit too long. I also tried a 34x34, which is what I usually wear, but it was a bit too loose for me. So true to what other reviewers have said, these ... run a little big.

Love BR, not happy with BR Online
I've been shopping BR for almost 10yrs. I usually go into the stores. I actually used to work for them....spent most of my paycheck there! Considering all this, I'm actually disappointed in BR Online. When I got the ... they seemed fine and they were what I ordered. Then I tried them on & they did not feel right. The cut seems to be all wrong. Now, I could've returned them, but considering that I use to work there, I figured they must've changed where they have they usually had jeans made before. Also, the waist, seemed higher then usual. Felt like I was wearing high waist jeans from the 70's-80's. One last thing....the rear pockets.......they seem too big n' low, & too far apart from eachother. Therefore, if I returned them, most likely would've gotten the same ... again. So, I kept them, also cause they were on sale! I would say....before you buy anything online....make sure to try on in the store prior. I may be wrong....but BR online seems to give you the "mess up" pieces of clothing. Had a lot of online returns in the store I worked in about the same issue. Always thought the people were crazy! Use to tell them that it all comes from the same places and that BR online does not get their product from somewhere different then BR. Now, I may reconsider buying from online rather than going into store?

Loyal Banana Republic Chino customer
I had realized that my Banana Republic Chinos, purchased a few years ago, were my favorites because of the ... durability and quality. I passed by the store on 42nd Street in New York City where they were promoting the "new improved chinos". I went into the store to try them on and loved the ... but the store did not carry my length. I was advised to go online where I was able to locate my more appropriate size. As luck would have it; there was a great sale if you purchased online. I made my first online purchase ever at Banana Republic, and was delighted at the price, [...] the service, and best of all my purchase. A great experience that will bring me back again! The only thing, except for the pricing, was that In earlier years I was able to get my size in the stores, with free length alterations.

Great Pants
Great pants. Very chic. I bought them for my husband in the blue and the grey - both are great. They are very modern. My husband is not a "trendsetter" but these pants make him look like one and he was okay with the way they looked (which I found more trendy than his other purchases). Highly recommended. My guess is they are better for guys with relatively skinny legs and smaller butts (of which I wish I had the girl version of and do not!). And they always seem to have a great sale price!

BR Clothing
Our family loves BR clothes. The styles are classic but modern and the quality is always good. I found the online support to be very helpful and customer oriented. The best shopping day is when I find a sale at BR!

Best Pants Ever
These are the only work pants I buy. I've had about a dozen pairs so far. I only wish they would go on sale once in a while (gavin chinos are exempt from pretty much every BR sale).

Length way too short!
I ordered every color in the Gavins in a 31 x 32, and only 2 out of 7 pairs were the correct size. I'm so disappointed with the quality. I took the 5 pairs back to the flagship BR store and no one seemed surprised because they said that was so common. I tried to swap out the pairs, but all the in stock sizes were inconsistent in length also. I've always loved The Gavin's and do not hesitate when there is a sale but I really have to think twice because quality is unacceptable for BR standard.

Utterly disappointed
I ordered Charleston brown, they gave me Green, which was not even listed for sale. What a difference a color makes! Also it says sitting lower at the waist, I'd say it sits higher at the waist. it makes me look like a dumpling. OK, will send it back to the store. Really a waste of time. Sigh...

great jeans
Look great, ... well (29w 32l). This is second pair I've ordered. Agree with complaints about other BR denim pants these days (didn't like "Straight ... black rinse jean" or "Boot cut dark wash jean"), but these work well.

best pants ever
I first ordered my usual size 30 waste, but they were a little large. I went down to a 29 waste and they ... so well, I ordered 2 more pairs. Seriously..They ... SO well, I grabbed about 5 MORE pairs. Best pants ever. ?? Maybe !

Order down
Based on the reviews I ordered a 35W/30L for my husband instead of his usual 36/32 and they fit perfect. Nice jeans for the sale price. Easy to dress up or down by changing shirt and shoes.

Favorite Denims I own
I've had a pair of 28x30's for a while now and they've seen much use. They are my favorite denims and are a PERFECT FIT. I like my denims not too relaxed and not too tight. I have noticed the fashion trend of denims being made to ... TIGHT with a ridiculous low rise. I absolutely do not like that trend. BUT, these denims right here ... so well, I rate them as my best pair of Denims within the past TEN YEARS!!! To me, it is such a breath of fresh air! And, I was so grateful to learn that BR still has this style in their line and I recently ordered another pair( as my current pair has seen MUCH use), but this time a 28x28 (as this is my true size but 28x30 works too since I don't mind rolling the leg up). This time however my only gripe is the waist is a bit loose and the rise seems a bit low. The waist is about an inch or inch half off, more like a 29 or 29.5 (something I've noticed with all BR pants lately). This problem is easily fixed with the use of a belt, which I would normally wear regardless, so this problem is easily overlooked in the end. I still rate this pants highly since the leg and seat area are still PERFECT! I recommend these to anyone who is a fan of true straight ... denims.

Awesome...but legging flares out a little
These are awesome jeans. I got these on sale and they are some of the nicest jeans Ive bought. My only complaint is the leggings flares out a little at the bottom. Its not bad enough to be considered a boot cut. Works for me though. Very nice.

What happened?
I feel ashamed to admit I own seven pairs of these jeans. Well not *these* jeans, but the same line from previous years -- before they changed. I'm not sure what the gimmick is here. I wear a 32/32 always, everywhere. The most recent pair of these pants that I purchased seem to have fallen into the vanity sizing fad. I bought a pair of 31/30 jeans and they still feel bigger than my older 32/32 jeans. Still a good pair of jeans, but I think the cut/fitting is not as good -- particularly on the back side. Size yourself accordingly.

disappointing
My husband bought these jeans less than 6 months ago, and they already look severely worn, and a lot older than they are. He wears them casually and not day in and day out, so this was disappointing. The quality and color didn't last very long. Thank goodness they were on sale, because we might as well have gotten a pair somewhere cheaper. So far this is our only purchase complaint of products from BR. My womens pair of BR jeans have lasted a lot longer, so maybe it's just the style and color that doesn't last so well.

Way too loose
It might just not be my style, but these pants are way to baggy. From hips to toes.
