Dressy jeans
Great dark denim Great for work, but going out as well. I got the petite and I am 5' 2.5" and they are very long--I'll probably leave them long and wear them with heels and wedges

new favorite jeans
These jeans are very flattering -- the cut lengthens my legs and is surprisingly flattering in the back for me (I'm petite and have very little to show in the rear). They are great for both "casual Friday" at work, and for a Friday night date. I'm very very happy with these jeans!

nearly perfect
The jeans look really nice on.They are very slimming and make my legs look really long. The dark, even wash is nice and dressy. The fit for me isn't perfect, but it's still quite flattering. The fit in the hips is perfect, the thighs are very snug (I have athletic legs so this is not a surprise) and the waist is a bit big. Even though I got a petite, the legs are still a bit long. If these really do have a 31' inseam, that would explain it. How is 31' petite? I'm going to wash them before I hem them, just in case they shrink a bit. These fit true to the size chart. I wear a 2/26 in most pants/jeans, but sometimes a 27 in premium denim. Based on the size chart I got a 27 in these and they fit, so I'd recommend going by the size chart, not just getting your usual size. These are a little higher waisted than I typically like, but not too high to be flattering. Overall I'm happy with these and glad I got them. It's so nice to find dressy jeans that aren't a baggy ... style.

The Hallelujah ... Jean!
Read the reviews and had to try these. I'm 5'3"; 28" waist; 36.5" hips. I decided to order the Petites in a 28 (6), and they fit perfectly----slightly shorter rise and leg length. Nicely made, but just be aware that they are only 60% cotton; 36% polyester; 4% Lastol. They do stretch a bit, and the fabric is very soft with a slight sheen. The pockets are welted in the front and rear, which is a nice designer touch, but the rear pockets are non functional. No bulk. As of this writing, there are only a few Petite sizes left. I will definitely get another pair. Don't understand why BR discontinues styles that are so popular, like the Classic Skinny. Take note BR: We LOVE this style of jeans. Bring 'em on!

nice for work
these were nice for work- the length on the petite was about 3/4" long for me, and I am 5'3.5", so they would work well with a higher heel. The dark color is flattering, and the slit back pockets are more suited for dressier coordinates- definitely a Friday staple for work.

Pretty cute denim trousers
I would've given these jeans 5 stars if they were not a 31 inseam. I am 5'1" 110 lbs so I was pretty excited that these jeans actually came in a Petite. I normally wear a 00P in BR but wanted the fit of this style to be "not so tight" for work, so I chose to get these in a 0P which converts to a 25P. If you like to wear 3-4-inch heels, these trousers will actually work for you. Although in my particular case, I like to have the versatility of switching between my high heels and ballet flats just like I do with my 00P Original Martin Fit trousers. Work or play, these denim trousers should still do the trick. Cheers!

Comfortable Jeans
These Jeans are very comfortable and look great with almost anything. I purchased the petite size and they are still too long - must wear these with a good size heel. Love the dark color. They felt like they ran small when I first put them on and after wearing them for about an hour they stretched. Unlike some denims, they did not over stretch to the point where you have to pull them up every ten minutes. Would have given them a five if it wasn't for the fact that they are too long for a true petite sized pant.

Great wash and style, but rise too low
I was so excited to get another pair of BR ... jeans. I love the wash and the style. I wore the first pair I owned to death. Unfortunately, the rise on these seem to be lower than my last pair. (too long in the crotch) This will be the 2nd pair of jeans in one order I am returning, which is highly unusual. I can usually always count on BR 00 petite jeans to fit me perfectly. I won't give up though!

Weird Fit
The petite size was way too long, they were too tight in the thigh and the denim seemed cheap and overly stretchy. Returned.

Horrible Service
I feel completely ripped off by Banana Republic! I purchased PETITE jeans & they are TOO LONG! (BTW< I have ordered other petite jeans & pants in the past) I wrote to Banana Rep to tell them that the jeans were too long AND that they did NOT arrive when I was TOLD that they would.The response I received back was that I could return them if they were wrong. Nice. I spent $22 of my hard earned money on next day shipping & received them almost a week later. I have a BR acct & used it a few months ago to order from Athleta.com. I received free shipping as usual then, why not this time??? The only decent part of this whole transaction was that AFTER I complained about a 30% discount NOT being applied to my order as it should have been from the beginning, they finally gave it to me, but still NO refund on the shipping charges. As I stated in an earlier email to BR, I will be telling every one of my friends to stay away from BR, Athleta, Old Navy, AND the gap!!!!! As you might be able to tell, I am NOT happy!!!

Not a Fan
I've bought a lot of petite pants from BR, but these fit weird and were not flattering. I'm 5' and the petite was much longer than other petite jeans I have bought.

petite trousers - reviews

These are great pants. The reason why I said they were too small is because I had to go a size up in these and all the other ... pants I tried on. I'm usually a size 6. I had to go up to a size 8 and they were perfect. I don't know if it's just me or if everyone has to go up a size in the petites but that's what worked for me so if you order online be prepared.

Great trousers for business casual
The trousers are a great fit, slimming but perhaps a little on the long side for a petite (I'm extra petite at 5'0'' but have bought trousers from BR before that were perfect)

perfect ...
These pants look and feel great! Very slimming, perfect for work or for going out. My only complaint is the length is slightly too long for petite, so I have wear a very high heel and even then they touch the ground just a little. Very true to size, I am a 2 petite, 5"2 and 110lbs.

good pants, too short inseam
I like everything about these trousers except for the length of the inseam, which is too short to wear with heels. Unfortunately, BR carries almost no pants in size 00 short, so I am forced to buy a 00 petite, which is too short to wear with anything other than flats, and at a little over 5' 2", I'm not exactly statuesque. I LOVE BR trousers, but find the lack of pants in my size to be frustrating! I won't order petite size trousers from BR again.

Nice - but sizing is inconsistent
I ordered these in a 00P after reading the reviews. I've found that BR pants seem to run pretty large and I would've expected to get these in a 2, since that is the size jeans I wear. 00 was a bit too tight and I exchanged them for 0 which ... better. However, I got another pair of Martin ... trousers in this order in a 00 and they ... fine. I wish that there was some consistency in the sizing for BR and that they were actually in line with what a size 0 should be (2 in the real world). It makes shopping online difficult and the local retail location has a very limited ... section.

OK trousers
I got these in fossil and black. I haven't worn my black one yet but I have worn my fossil colored trousers and I didn't have problems with the fabric stretching out (maybe not yet?). It does wrinkle fairly fast. Also it looks a bit flared compared to being a straight leg. I don't have much option in dress pants because it's so hard to find a perfect ... these pants kind of work for me so I still got both colors anyway. I just needed work pants badly...

Higher waisted Martin Fit
These pants are a typical Martin ... (straight through the hip and waist) but they are a higher waist than normal and in my opinion, have much more room in the seat and upper thigh. If you are anywhere near 5'4 or are short waisted get a petite and have the cuff taken out--the rise is PERFECT in petite and the seat is lifted. The pockets on the back give my bottom a more rounded perky appearance, but they do stretch a lot at the crotch--only the pair I have in 'regular' women's sizing does this.

Petit Martin ... Pant
I was looking for a good work pant and liked this pant except for one issue. As a ... woman, I make it a rule to never wear cuffs. I even considered tailoring the pant to remove the cuff but decided against it. I would buy this pant again in a second without the cuffs. Everything was really nice about the pant; ... fabric quality, and color.

Great First Impression but Stretches out of Shape with Wear
The Martin 718 Sleek Straight trousers fitted very well and wereflattering in the dressing room. I am in between size 10 Petite and 12 Petite (size 10 P hips and size 12 P waist). The cut and the shape were so attractive I bought them in 2 colors. They looked good when I first put themon, but the fabric did not retain its shape for too long, especially in an office setting, where you sit most of the day. By the end of the day of my first wear, the pants were really baggy in the thigh and butt and puckered along the rear seam, as if they were the wrong cut and size for me. I think the cotton/modal blend stretches too much and loses its shape with wear. If you don't sit in them, they will look great. However, I would recommend these pants for someone who has a flatter butt and wider hips so that the fabric falls and stretches properly.
