Versatile ...
This ... very classy and comfortable. It is cushioned in the heel. The leather is soft and will break in quickly. With a little bit of polish they can get a great shine. Great for the office with slacks or a suit, but can also be worn with jeans.

Bought these ... black last year and they still look and feel great. They are true to size and very comfortable right out of the box .I wear them for the office at work, or other dress up occasions. I would definately recommend these ... purchased the brown ones next .

worn out in a month
after a month of normal use they are showing a lot of wear and tear. totally unacceptable for BR ... rubber on the heels is gone. 2-3 times a week, I work in a office building and walk from the train station to my office (5 blocks) not a lot. I regret buying these ... not recommend them to anyone.

Classic style
These boots are my first pair of Clarks and I have a feeling they won't be my last. I've always been attracted to essential classics, not trends. You can safely put Clarks Desert Boot in the essential classics category, they maybe trending upward but these boots are a timeless addition to my wardrobe. Favored by Steve McQueen circa the Great Escape and countless notable Brits this versatile boot can be tough in black, sophisticated in suede, quirky in white or just plain get the job done in beeswax leather. Perfect with bootcut/straight jeans and a touch of adventure with cargos, for the guy in the casual office these are khaki friendly,too. I love having these in my closet, next to my English bench made wingtips and Frye Brando moto boots these look right at home but with their own perspective.

Restyle Clarks are worth the look
I needed to replace my Clarks Desert boots and purchased these. I was happy to find out that they have been "restyled" and are now less narrow than my previous pair. They also used to run a bit large but now I find that they are more truer to size. They are also more comfortable than I remember. If you are looking for a pair of all day walking shoes, these are still NOT what you want. The heel cushion is still minimal as well as the arch support. But for a casual day at the office or light walking around these ... great.
