awesome ... slim ... i bought this pair of ... go with the matching wool blazer. The ... really great, just like all other Martin ... price is a bit high, but with a coupon or during BR promotion, it is actually a great deal considering the material - WOOL (less chance for wrinkles). If other BR martin ... work well for your body type, this pair of ... would also work, possibly even better. I recommend buying them in the same size as your other BR martin ...
AMAZING!!!! PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS, BANANA REPUBLIC!!!!!!These pants are AMAZING!!!!!!!! BANANA REPUBLIC, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS & PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THEM!!!!!!!!!! BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit great. These pants are remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect pants; these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress ... My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit ... 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit ... used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!
SPECTACULAR ... I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the ... matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to ... perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that ... same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my ... That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for ... same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized ... example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these ... if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this ... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.
Small girl finds great ... The Martin fits best for me because I am 5'4", 110 with a full butt and small waist. I can't find ... any other store that have a small enough waist with ample room in the butt and still look professional. I wear the 00, I find the petites to be too small in the crotch depth and too short. Petites in BR are for seriously small people, if your shorter than 5'4" the petites would be a good hem length for you. Most ... other stores are too low cut. This is why I love the Martin ... they run smaller in thighs and waist but have ample room for a full butt and long crotch depth. I think they are most fitting for the petite curvy girl, If you have a small butt and straight lines try another style. Love Love Love the smaller ... its the only pant I can find that is small enough for me, unfortunately most companies vanity size there ... then it leaves us smaller people swimming, keep the smaller ... BR.
great work ... I had bought these ... before, and loved them. this is my second pair, and they are GREAT!!! they are great for the office, and it matches almost every suit jacket that banana carries.
Perfect black work ... I just purchased these online to match the black suit jacket that I bought last April...I figured I might as well still buy them while I could to match (I already own the matching pencil skirt). The whole ... suit looks great! I love the suit with the skirt, but it's also great to have the versatility of a ... suit and knowing I can pair anything in my closet with the ... well makes it win win. I cannot understand all the sizing complaints - I've been wearing size 6 martins for YEARS so I ordered the same and they ... perfectly. Perhaps those of you who are finding you need to go up 1-2 sizes have actually gained weight. I can't see how this is BR's fault when I've never changed size in the ... my weight has been stable). High quality work pant for the office (highly recommend pairing with the blazer).
The bestBest fitting trousers I have ever owned. Bar none. Love the fabric - virtually unwrinkable (not a word, but appropriate here). Love the ... - as if it is made just for me. I bought the shorter length so I will wear with flats at the office. I also have this trouser in a longer length to wear with heels.
The perfect pant!It is such a pleasure to purchase ... so well while making the person wearing them look great! I love that the ... lined, allowing them to hang like they were professionally tailored just for me. Although I needed to shorten the ... two inches (36 inches to 34 inches), it was a small sacrifice in order to be able to wear ... perfect in every other way. These ... well worth the price.
Love the ... longer than the ones I tried in the store, belt loops are a bonus I have a couple pairs of Martin ... first pair I will have to have altered to make about 3/4 inch shorter. I am 5'7" and have always been able to wear regular length BR ... off the rack. I tried these on in the store and they were perfect with a 2" heel, but these ones are just too long. I debated sending them back and seeing if they would send me a different pair that would maybe be the right length, but I'll just pay the $20 to get them altered instead (hate getting ... altered). They would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to alter them. I am a slim pear shaped gal and these ... great, and the lining makes the ... nice and sleek, no bumpy bulges on the behind. I got these with the blazer to wear as a suit, and this is one of the only suits I found that you can wear a standard belt with, which in turn, is what I attach my gun to. So, ladies who wear guns to work, I highly recommend a BR suit!
Perfect pair of black slacksEverything about these pairs of ... pretty good. The only complaint I had was the length which I already knew had to be hemmed like the rest of my ... pair truly slims you down and with a nice pair of black high heels it's perfect for an evening out or a day at the office.
Perfect for workThese are my go to work ... since I have to wear black ... every day. It is very difficult for me to find ... me, and these are the best out of all stores in this price range or cheaper. I am 5'14'', about 110-115 lbs, and I wear a 00. They ... perfectly. They are high waisted but still below the belly button. I get compliments often on how professional the ... look. The material is not as high quality as I would like for this price, but as I said before, they are basically my only choice when it comes to ... fitting me. After about 6 months of owning one pair, the seam under the pocket is coming loose. This is odd because they are not tight, and I lauder them according to the tag. If you order more than one pair, expect a slight difference in lengths. I have one pair that I wear 4 inch heels with, and the other pair, I wear 3 inch heels. Luckily, I have a closet full of all different heel heights. They will shrink up a tad after your first dry cleaning. All in all, they are a great staple piece to have for a black suit. I highly recommend the jacket that pairs with them.

Own multiple pairI keep coming back to buy more. (Banana...put these in the stores!) These ... do not disappoint. They hold up well in an office environment. I've dry cleaned and used dry el many times. ... stretch but do not stretch out after days sitting. I ... small waist but full hips and butt for my size. If you are the same, these are for you.
If you ... curves.... Then the Jackson ... only ... BR that I've found that compliments us. I am a ... 6 with curves and tiny waist and ... me perfect. No buckling in my waist and fits through my thighs and seat very comfortably. I've read where many people ... stated BR doesn't carry them in the stores, but ... do carry them in their factor stores. At least the one at the North GA premium outlets does. I just purchased 5 pair today because I was just excited to find a pair of ... didn't need to be altered at the waist! So ladies, if you ... BR outlet near your home, visit them and you may just find those Jackson ... save a little more money too. Good Luck!

Great Dress ... Work! This is the first time that I've ever purchased anything from BR. I ordered ... two sizes because I wasn't sure of the ... were very true to ... did ... hemmed though as I do most of my dress ... I'm 5'5 and usually always buy the curvy ... because I ... larger hips and a little waist. ... did not gap at all and ... very well through the hips. I wish ... came in more colors, grey, brown, etc.
LOVE Jackson ... Banana's Republic's Jackson ... offer the best off the-rack ... ever found! ... comfortable and flattering to a curvy figure, without being frumpy. The ... consistently flattering and professional. ... so well that I typically only buy suits from Banana Republic. I noticed that this is the only style and color that the Jackson ... available in online right now - Dear Banana Republic, please offer more!!

Good ... me. I almost gave up ordering a suit online after reading many of the reviews stating that the sizes were all over the place and confusing, especially compared to prior seasons in this ... also purchased the Jackson ... (although not in the lightweight wool) in prior seasons and wondered if I would get the same bad result. Some reviewers said that if you just followed the ... guidelines on the web site, all would be well. I measured myself using the guidelines on the web site and came up with some crazy ... I've never worn before in my life. I decided to ignore everything I read and just order the same ... pair of mostly cotton Jackson ... (4S), as well as one ... bigger just in case. For reference, I am 5'4", generally about 125 lbs., and a bit pear shaped...and the ... 4S ... just as I had hoped--no gap at the waist, not tight in the hips or pulling across the crotch, and the rise was just right. I didn't find the buttons at the waist or the wide leg to be extreme or sailor like. (The ... 6S actually also ... but ... definitely looser at the waist and through the hips). I'm not sure why there is such a disparity in opinion about ... but I guess it comes down to body type/shape. At least for me, ... worked out well.
More Jacksons Please!!!!! BR please listen!!!!!!I love ... own about 6 pair of ... wear ... almost every day. ... perfectly. I'm a ... 2, about 124 lbs. None of the other ... styles ... like ... do. I don't understand why they're not in stores anymore. Bad decision BR!!! I need more work ... perhaps a light grey all weather wool.
Great ... can use some change in the front I had quit wearing ... because I couldn't find a pair that fits so well until now. Wow, these ... amazing, no need for alterations. However, the front still forms horizontal 'pleats' around the crotch area when it shouldn't. I doubt it is just me but it could be. It is less benign than the other BR fits (Martin, Logan and Sloan) that I ... tried but still some room for improvement. Also love the fact that these ... lined. I normally ... go at least a size or two up in ... because I ... time waist but wide hips but in ... size 6 ... perfectly (5'4", 134 lbs) Check out the matching jacket, it is absolutely adorable. I bought the jacket first and then the skirt and the ... Unfortunately, the skirk slides up all the way to my breasts when worn with a shirt tucked in. Not sure why. It fits fine otherwise. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the lightweight wool collection. And did I say that jacket is amazing?

Its true, ... well around my massive hips and thunder thighs, but its too baggy around the rest of the legs for my taste. I'm going to try another style of ... slimmer ... see if its not too tight around my hips. Otherwise, I will probably ... altered. ... nice ...
Meh, way too flared and sailor looking. I''ll keep hoping they''ll get it right next season.I wanted ... work, I ... older pairs of Jackson ... getting worn out so I really wanted ... work. I love the fabric, I love the ... hate the pockets, the buttons, and the huge flare legs. The buttons and flare leg screamed, "SAILOR" to me, why do the buttons need to be there in the first place? None of the other fits ... buttons awkwardly placed like ... do, ... don't add to the design of the ... any way. The pockets also screwed up the ... me. Slash pocket ... way of flaring out and making me look wider at the hips. I ... hips already, I don't need any help in making me look wider. And the flare leg, a "gentle flare" of nearly 11 1/2 inches. ... legs ... been getting NARROWER the last few years, not wider. Come on BR designers, simple ... variety of fabrics and colors like you do for the other fits. It shouldn't be this hard. Curvy girls need ... too!
