Perfect dress ... I purchased this dress ... 3-button suit coat for my husband. The ... fit absolutely perfect.... no tailoring necessary. I really like the modern flat front style. The quality is superb!
Great ... I love the look and feel of these Modern styled dress ... material is quality and the cut and styling is spot on. These are a little more pricey than some of the other wool dress ... but in my opinion it's worth the extra dough. I have these in Gray and Black and would buy again.
Highly RecommendedThe leg opening at the bottom is not tapered or flared. This is so hard to find as most "slim fit" type ... tapered and most wide leg ... fit like baggy jeans. These are the perfect compromise between the two. Modern looking and wrinkle free which means that they look great from 8AM to 8PM.
... fit great and look even better. I ordered the Modern Suit and ... Black and loved how it looked so I ordered my husband the grey Modern suit ... well.
Good job BR!!Very happy with my purchase. I am 6 foot 5 inches, 250lbs with a fit build, so I guess you can say I am a relatively big guy. It is very difficult for me to find ... fit and that still have a smart modern look. Especially being that I am in Montreal Canada and the BR stores up here do not carry my size. They use to but not anymore. :( BR IMHO has the best ... overall taking into consideration price, quality and trendiness. I have over 10 pairs of their ... each one of them looks great and they last "forever!" Just to give you an idea, I have other suites from higher price point companies such as Hugo Boss etc... and I still do not like them as much as my BRs. So, thank you BR for making good quality products that fit they way that they do and please keep it that way. You will be hearing from me again soon.... :)
Comfortable ... great fit At 6'6" and 220 pounds,I have struggled to find dress ... fit just right (you know, where the crotch doesn't drop halfway down the thigh...that looks ridiculous) and are also made right (most big and ... places make such cheaply made product), but I finally have now with these ... material stretches with you and feels good and the flat front look is sharp. I have an athletic build with thin legs so this cut is just right for me. But if you have thicker legs, I probably would recommend a larger waist size. These are the ... go with the three button jacket to make the staple every man needs: the classic black suit. I liked it so much I also bought them in grey. My only gripe is that the bottom hem is not cuffed, but there is plenty of material there to have it done.
A Bit tight in the waistI bought these ... expecting to put a clear cut diamond into my dress apparel. But, upon arrival i felt that they were just a bit tight in the waist. The 36"x36" has ALWAYS been my size. So, I reluctently up sized to a 38"x36". The only problem was that the bigger size was WAY TOO BIG and a totally different cut. I returned the KING KONG sized ... retail store and decided to squeeze into the originals....after a few sit ups. Nice ... though. The 36"x36" should be a little truer to the waist size though.
Good ... but received them unintentionally Ordered the "tailored" ... received "modern" cut ... instead. Tried them on so I might as well review them. In my personal experience these ... bit more loose in the waist and longer in the leg than other 34-30 ... own. Not hugely out of wack but maybe a size off. For those on the fence about tailored v. modern cuts, in my mind these are definitely not what I would consider a modern fit. Admittedly this is BR's most classic line but these definitely look like "dad suit" ... me. If you are a younger guy going for a modern suit cut and are worried about buying the more fitted styles from BR, dont be. Stick to the tailored or monogram series. I was a bit scared the tailored would be too tight/trendy but if these are a "modern" fit the "tailored" style, at a minimum, is a must for a sleek look.

Excellent slacks.I confess I was a little disappointed when I first opened the package. The fabric seemed thin, and I thought I was looking for something a little heavier. However, as I wear them, I like them better and better. They are probably the most comfortable pair of slacks I've ever owned, and they fit and look like they were tailored for me. The fabric is somewhat thin, but the weave is quite tight, and they are as warm as many heavier slacks that I have. I'm impressed with the quality throughout. If I could change one thing, it would be the fly and the fasteners. They have one button and a flap and clip at the waistband. I believe they would be better with the type of design that added a triangular panel lower on the right that crosses over to a button on the left as many other slacks have. But that's a minor deal. They really are getting to be my favorite pair of pants. They look especially good with black dress boots.
Nice pantsGreat pants. But if you do not need them to match the suit coat, consider getting the grey Modern fit pants instead, that are [$] instead of $150!
Classic style, great color and qualityWe chose Banana Republic suits over tuxes for our wedding. The style and color are classic and the quality is amazing, so these are suits the boys can wear again and again. And I think it's such a better look than a cheesy, rented tuxedo! I wish they hadn't discontinued the Tailored Fit in this charcoal color, because a lot of the younger boys prefer the more tailored ... but the modern is also a nice fit - more of a classic suiting ... Boys will be wearing with white shirts, the BR Classic Silk Plaid tie (navy), BR argyle socks (navy) and Navy Blue Chuck Taylor's from Piperlime! They're going to look amazing! :)
Wrinkled & ExpensiveI like the way BR pants fit me. For several years, I've been buying BR dress pants for work and going out. Recently, BR raised the price from $98 to [$] and added a "wrinkle resist" promise. Unfortunately, that lasted one wearing and these pants wrinkle at least as much and probably more than before the $52 per pair price increase. It only costs a couple of bucks to add chemical finishes to a garment. The other $50 moved from my pocket to theirs. A 50% price increase over 5-10 years, ok, one year not so much. Looking elsewhere for a similar fit.
