Straight-fit dark wash jean
$79.50

Great ...
This pair of ... great in that it has a great dark rinse wash, the fabric is heavy without being 'weighty', and the overall fit is pretty true to size. It was a bit long in the leg compared to other products with the same size description. They are great for going out in to dressier occasions and can be worn a bit more relaxed. Highly recommend this product!

Awesome...need I say more?
To the people who keep saying that the ... bleed, yada, yada, etc, etc, all I say is that you're not washing the ... properly. BR ... need to be washed inside out on low permanent press or gentle, cold water. Only wash the ... group, so don't throw in shirts, jackets, etc. Dry regularly like you do. I have over 14 pairs of straight leg, indigo wash in 33/32 and have never had a bleeding problem.

I like these ...
I am really enjoying these ... decided to write a review because these seemed to be getting some low marks. I do not see the dark color everywhere, and this is great for me. These look great for travel, work, or just wandering around. I have not experienced any care problems. I do think that BR likes the ... bit long and they are not forgiving in waist/rear/rise, but I could not say with any confidence that changes in these areas would be an improvement. I am wearing my usual 33/32 size. I would not hesitate to buy another pair, and I would be disappointed if these were gone.

Great ...
The ... fit great. They are like $300 ... less than $100. They are a great color and have a super feel to them. I hope Banana keeps making ... like this. Also the high waist rise fits well for sport guys like me.....

The best jeans around
I bought three pairs, two 33x34's and one 34x34. As I expected the 33s broke in and now fit like a glove. My wife always tells me how great they look. I typically wear a 34, but the 33s fit just right, not tight and not loose. I have purchased BR ... years, and the Straight fit is definitely the way to go. The relaxed fit (compared to the straight fit) is okay, but I find the thigh area to be a little snug, although bearable. The color is dark, but it lightens up nicely with a few washings. I highly recommend this product.

Almost a skinney ... fit...
Overall, a very nice pair of ... I've received compliments several times while wearing them. Nice for going out or for times when you want to look a bit dressier. However there are a few points to be aware of - the fit and the dark wash itself. First, the fit is closer to a skinney ... than a straight leg. I'm 6'2" and 175 so I can get get into them fairly comfortably but a bulkier guy might not be able to. This is a cut that you should try on before you purchase. Secondly, the dark wash transfers very easily - I've washed mine probably seven times and it still rubs off - beware light colored upholstery, furniture etc. Mine actually rubbed off on a melamine desk top I leaned against!

First timer for straight fit ...
I had not purchased anything but relaxed fit ... Banana Republic. Until these ... found the fit to be surprisingly tighter for the same size ... had expected a slight difference in fit, not something this dramatic (especially in the thighs). However, I really wanted dark wash as the "distressed look" seems to be getting old very quickly. Unfortunately normal dark wash ... not available in relaxed fit. Hey BR, please to a relaxed fit dark wash, perhaps in the Heritage line (and using premium denim). Dark wash seems a step up in style from the now tiresome distressed look.

No style to these ... all.
The ... felt like old man ... me and I am not quite ready to go there.I love all the GAP boot cut ... - the best ... have ever worn.
Bad Fit
Unlike the black washed ... other indigo washed ... these ... consistently too tight in the hips and thighs.
Bleeds blue after multiple washes
Do not get this. These ... bleed blue ink all over my hands and my clothes after multiple washes. The ink bled into my other clothes in the wash, and even ruined the dark towels that I washed it with. For anyone to spend [$] on ... they should at least learn to make it right? DO NOT BUY THIS!

My Go To ...
Awesome pair o' ... Purchased them recently and find my self reaching for them before any others in my closet. Nice ... just relaxed enough so that they're comfortable but still look nice. No sloppy bagginess at all. They feel great from the moment you put 'em on - no stiffness. FYI - the wash is darker than the photo appears. In the photo, the area from the knee down to the cuff is a more accurate representation of the wash color. That minor point aside - highly recommended!

nice but...
Very nice ... - ... seat and thighs - but too big in the waist and too short - of course, they were a 30 x 32 - I really need a 29 x 33 or 34 - which Banana Republic doesn't offer. I can wear a 30 waist in some brands - but this one ran big. I had to return them. I'm afraid they will shrink in the leg and I won't be able to wear them at all.

Great ... cut was different than expected...
After purchasing straight leg ... BR over the last few years and having the cut, fit and feel very similar from pair to pair, I though I had found the perfect pair of ... cut on this pair was more of a relaxed fit boot cut feel. They did not fit and feel like the straight leg ... purched in the past. That being said, they still ... still wear them; and they are still more comfortable and durable than the ... I've bought in a department store.

Straight ... BR has many definitions
These ... legs, are huge. They ... baggier than their "relax ... line. I ordered 3 pairs of straight ... end of nov to end of december. All 3 are completely different. The one I ordered in store, "straight" fits great. So I ordered 2 online. One came loose, the other even looser. The latter is really baggy. I will only be ordering ... store now from on.

Not Straight ...
These are definitely a more relaxed ... Also, they are very long. For those looking for a relaxed style they are perfect, just got a size down in the length. If you want a great pair of ... suggest the gap ...

Great ... But
The ... great; fabric and style. However the ... should have been cut just a little slimmer. I have purchased many ... over the years, and this is a first.

Wrong Color Shown
I love BR ... can always rely on getting the right ... however, these Indigo ... turned out to be just like the dark indingo ... already have. The color shown here is not the true color of the ... arrived at my door. Beware...

BR is not the same as it used to be.
I have been a fan of BR ... many many years. This last ... arrived with a hole in it but I am not going to return it since it’s not worth the hassle. However what is really making me think twice before ordering online again is that there are big size differences between ... even size differences between ... same reference (same wash). Reading all the reviews I am not the only one who thinks this. Another thing is that the quality does not look as premium as it used to, they kind of look like their lower end ... gap. Another reason I did not return them was because I sent them to an international courier service from Visa in Miami that sends them to my home in South America, I know that BR has an international shipping service but the rates are very high.

Meh
... ok but following the usual trend these days of "less is more" -- my old 32Ws used to be a bit tight on me (ahem) but the ones I ordered recently are a bit loose. Color is way darker than shown as others have indicated. The front of the leg is a bit faded and at the top of the thigh there's some "whiskering" in the wash. Really wish BR offered a plain old normal medium light wash ... no faux hipster nonsense.

I have bought other pants online before but have never had this problem. Usually I need to shorten them because I have an inseam of 30 and with my waist size, I can't get 30. But these pants are not ... they are relaxed.

Way loose and long; WHAT HAPPENED TO BR SIZING/QUALITY??
BR ... were once the absolutely perfect ... I'm 5'6'' and wear a 30x30; for a few years now I've worn the Gap Standard ... 30x30 as my casual/working outside ... BR Standard as my nicer casual/going out ... would buy one of each every 6 months or so online bc I wore them so frequently... Now both the Gap and BR versions of these ... 1-1.5" longer, AT LEAST 1"+ too loose in the waist, and the measured leg opening is at minimum .5" bigger. Why would they change a perfect ... true, perfect ... Now the quality is terrible, the color is misrepresented and way darker in reality, and the ... manufactured in like 20 different foreign countries, each one sizing them differently and using different materials. In short, BR has become exactly what Gap is, and both have plummeted in quality control and sizing. Also, the BR basic tee is now 2.5" longer in length, 1" longer in sleeve and looks like a poor Hanes quality shirt. Not buying from BR until they change things; until then, only Polo is reliable for quality/sizing.

Straight-fit black stonewashed jean
$89.50

Men''s Straight Black Jeans
Ordered these for my son. Fit great! Looked great! Ordered a size up as they are straight fit. He is a size 36x34 usually, ordered the 38x34 and they fit perfect!

My fifth pair
I now have 5 pair of the straight black stonewashed and I find that they are my favorites. Fit is great and I even get complemented on their look. Never had that with a pair of jeans before.

Go to Jeans
These straight, black, stonewashed jeans are now my go to jeans. Great fit, feel and color. I've generally had problems in the past with jeans where the waist was too big and/or the seat was too small, but these are perfect, with a visual slimming effect.

Nice jeans and great fit
The black stonewashed straight jeans have a a great color and fit. Can be dressed up or down so you can wear them almost anywhere. I'm tall 6'4" and the the 36 length is plenty long so these are great for tall men. This is my second pair of BR straight jeans and they are my favorites of all the jeans in my closet!

It's taken me a few decades to learn how to dress like a grown up, so it's just dawning on me that squeezing into skinny jeans is a bad idea for all concerned. BR straight jeans, for whatever reason, give me the right fit without making parts of me feel like they're being temporarily shifted around for vanity's sake, and it still looks good. I appreciate the thickness of the denim (which makes it durable), as well as its feel.

Favorite Denims I own
I've had a pair of 28x30's for a while now and they've seen much use. They are my favorite denims and are a PERFECT FIT. I like my denims not too relaxed and not too tight. I have noticed the fashion trend of denims being made to fit TIGHT with a ridiculous low rise. I absolutely do not like that trend. BUT, these denims right here fit so well, I rate them as my best pair of Denims within the past TEN YEARS!!! To me, it is such a breath of fresh air! And, I was so grateful to learn that BR still has this style in their line and I recently ordered another pair( as my current pair has seen MUCH use), but this time a 28x28 (as this is my true size but 28x30 works too since I don't mind rolling the leg up). This time however my only gripe is the waist is a bit loose and the rise seems a bit low. The waist is about an inch or inch half off, more like a 29 or 29.5 (something I've noticed with all BR pants lately). This problem is easily fixed with the use of a belt, which I would normally wear regardless, so this problem is easily overlooked in the end. I still rate this pants highly since the leg and seat area are still PERFECT! I recommend these to anyone who is a fan of true straight fit denims.

Not Straight leg jeans
The Jeans have a great color, good fit but they flare out too much like bell bottoms at the ankle. Not are not really straight leg jeans which is a shame. I am going to return them.

Straight Jeans
The Jeans were nice for color, fit and length. However, for being advertised as "straight leg" jeans I beg to differ. I thought the pant legs had a flared or bell bottom look versus a straight leg look. I am going to return which is a shame.

Not the same ...
I've been buying these black stone washed straight leg jeans since 2005, and although they underwent some minor changes over the years, they were still easily identifiable as "the same" ... Not the case anymore. Manufacturing has shifted from Macau (China) to Mexico, and the denim is coarse and of lower quality (think The Gap) as is the dye work; you can smell the dye as much as see it! Fake wear markings and pressed wrinkles cover the ... no where near subtle. As for hardware, the rivets are fine, there's the addition of a leather tag which I don't mind, but then there's also a blindingly bright gold button replacing the far more tasteful tarnished steel. These jeans have been my staple as only Banana Republic Straight leg jeans seem to avoid size/fit and excessive aging gimmics. It's too bad they just look like a pair of Gap jeans now.
A disaster of a redesign
What the hell happened to my beloved BR straight black stonewashed jeans? They used to be my go to pant for anything. So when I need a new pair, I ordered them online, not fretting the mixed reviews ("Gold button...so what?" I thought). But these new ones are terrible! They hang very weirdly, so that the crotch is strangely over advertised yet has no room (as if they were trying to put the banana back into Banana Republic, but left no room for the kiwis). They used to be my girlfriend's favorite on me; when I tried this new pair on she shook her head in sympathy and told me to take them back. My size hasn't changed, so it's definitely the tailoring. What the hell went wrong?!?
Straight Black Jeans
I bought online 32x30 BR Straight Black Jeans but had to return it as it was too loose in thighs and rear and looked loose overall. I have slim physique and did not fit me well.
$89.50
Available in Big & Tall
A modern alternative to blue: a faded wash and subtle whiskering details create a hip, edgy look in our black jean. A straight fit makes it a versatile choice.
