perfect dark ...
My husband wears a 29/32-- very hard to find anywhere but BR. We have bought many ... over the years from BR but these are the best yet. Bought one pair and liked them so much that I bought two more pair during the sale. The ... pretty consistent from pair to pair-- one was just a little tight but still fine. The color is darker than the web site image suggests. The ... very versatile because they are just slightly worn in looking. I hope BR keeps making them exactly like this. We had also purchased a pair of the same style and size in the lighter indigo color but the ... way too large and the legs were too short-- they had to go back. That's why when you find something that is pretty near perfect, stock up.

Great ... cut was different than expected...
After purchasing ... leg ... BR over the last few years and having the cut, fit and feel very similar from pair to pair, I though I had found the perfect pair of ... cut on this pair was more of a relaxed fit boot cut feel. They did not fit and feel like the ... leg ... purched in the past. That being said, they still fit and I still wear them; and they are still more comfortable and durable than the ... I've bought in a department store.

I really am not ready to review these ... They are a Christmas present for my husband and it isn't Christmas yet! They are asking for a review and how am I to know until he tries them on? The price is right and they look and feel great, the color is just as shown and that is about all I can say.

... fit from BR has many definitions
These ... legs, are huge. They fit baggier than their "relax fit" line. I ordered 3 pairs of ... end of nov to end of december. All 3 are completely different. The one I ordered in store, ... fits great. So I ordered 2 online. One came loose, the other even looser. The latter is really baggy. I will only be ordering ... store now from on.

Way loose and long; WHAT HAPPENED TO BR SIZING/QUALITY??
BR ... were once the absolutely perfect ... I'm 5'6'' and wear a 30x30; for a few years now I've worn the Gap Standard ... 30x30 as my casual/working outside ... BR Standard as my nicer casual/going out ... would buy one of each every 6 months or so online bc I wore them so frequently... Now both the Gap and BR versions of these ... 1-1.5" longer, AT LEAST 1"+ too loose in the waist, and the measured leg opening is at minimum .5" bigger. Why would they change a perfect ... true, perfect ... Now the quality is terrible, the color is misrepresented and way darker in reality, and the ... manufactured in like 20 different foreign countries, each one sizing them differently and using different materials. In short, BR has become exactly what Gap is, and both have plummeted in quality control and sizing. Also, the BR basic tee is now 2.5" longer in length, 1" longer in sleeve and looks like a poor Hanes quality shirt. Not buying from BR until they change things; until then, only Polo is reliable for quality/sizing.

terrible ... - cut like women''s ...
I've been buying BR ... years and this is the worst pair I've ever got. I've gotten ... size (32/30) in the past and they've ... great, so I went ahead and bought another pair online assuming they would be similar. However, BR seems to have changed the cut on their ... year. They look like something women or hipsters would wear (this according to my girlfriend). FYI, if I wanted hipster ... would have bought slim ... thank you very much. Anyway, the legs are too short, they are low rise on the hip (so low that I can slip out of them without unbuttoning them! I need to wear a belt to keep them on!), and they are much slimmer in the leg than prior versions of their ... Anyway, don't buy this online. Try it on in the store and see for yourself.

My fifth pair
I now have 5 pair of the ... black stonewashed and I find that they are my favorites. Fit is great and I even get complemented on their look. Never had that with a pair of jeans before.

Attractive
I was making an attempt to update my husband's fashion. He's been so used to wearing ... larger legs, so when he first tried these on he thought they were too tight. I explained slimmer is in fashion. He looks awesome in them. We've paired them with sweaters, long sleeved shirts and coats. They all work. He works in an environment that allows casual dress. He's taking them on his trip to London as well. We bought long, which may be a little too long for his 6'4" stature, but the good news is, we can tailor for custom fit. He has a proportioned torso and legs.

Black ... leg ...
I bought these ... my husband and although he's usually very picky about ... he absolutely loved them! They fit him perfectly and look great dressed up or casual. I highly recommend them.

Not Perfect But I Love Em
I'm 6'4 205 with long muscular legs. They are a little tight in the leg but otherwise fit Great. I do wish they also offered a Solid Black dressier ...

It's taken me a few decades to learn how to dress like a grown up, so it's just dawning on me that squeezing into skinny jeans is a bad idea for all concerned. BR ... jeans, for whatever reason, give me the right fit without making parts of me feel like they're being temporarily shifted around for vanity's sake, and it still looks good. I appreciate the thickness of the denim (which makes it durable), as well as its feel.

Not the same ...
I've been buying these black stone washed ... leg jeans since 2005, and although they underwent some minor changes over the years, they were still easily identifiable as "the same" ... Not the case anymore. Manufacturing has shifted from Macau (China) to Mexico, and the denim is coarse and of lower quality (think The Gap) as is the dye work; you can smell the dye as much as see it! Fake wear markings and pressed wrinkles cover the ... no where near subtle. As for hardware, the rivets are fine, there's the addition of a leather tag which I don't mind, but then there's also a blindingly bright gold button replacing the far more tasteful tarnished steel. These jeans have been my staple as only Banana Republic ... leg jeans seem to avoid size/fit and excessive aging gimmics. It's too bad they just look like a pair of Gap jeans now.

The Jeans were nice for color, fit and length. However, for being advertised as ... leg" jeans I beg to differ. I thought the pant legs had a flared or bell bottom look versus a ... leg look. I am going to return which is a shame.

The Jeans have a great color, good fit but they flare out too much like bell bottoms at the ankle. Not are not really ... leg jeans which is a shame. I am going to return them.

Length is a bit longer than other BR ... I've had. There's an annoying permanent crease near the leg openings on the back side that I failed to notice (you have to look real closely at the pictures).

Could be better
I found that the ... received in the mail and the same ones in the local BR stores had the end of one leg creased when whitewashed and it leave a white line across the bottom of the pant leg.. Doesn't look natural. Also found this year's ... too long...

I bought online 32x30 BR ... Black Jeans but had to return it as it was too loose in thighs and rear and looked loose overall. I have slim physique and did not fit me well.

Banana knows how to make timeless pieces that are versatile. The color, the fit awesome. It's not about being trendy for the moment these grey jeans can be worn for just any occasion. You can pull it out of your closet 5 years from now and they still rock.

great versatile pair of jeans. it's great for all types of looks. while i love the wash, for vintage straight jeans, the length was a little too long, and too loose through the leg. also, i order the jeans online and the tag and pants stated they were "straight" fit jeans, instead of the desired "vintage straight" moniker. I called customer service about it and they said it was a typo and they were really "vintage straight." The jeans seemed more loose than a usual vintage straight, but sometimes jeans never match up with the size.

The ... fairly soft and in a lightweight denim. The color is a nice gray color with a brushed look. The problem I have is that the waist is way too loose for a size 32 (vanity sizing?) and the rise is low. I could basically pull down these jeans while fully zipped and buttoned. I bought these online so unfortunately I could not try a size down 31.

I wish this distressed trend would die already.....
Lately it's become nearly impossible to find a good decent pair of jeans beyond the basic blue color. These are no exception. BR has taken what could be a PERFECT blue ... alternative and essentially ruined it. These pants started off great, they fit nearly perfect on my 34x32 5'-10" frame; they broke at my shoes just right, and they were a very versatile fabric weight and texture. Then....the distressing began to rear it's ugly head....faux whiskering behind the knee and along the legs, but what ultimately ruined it for me was the abrasion tear on the right front pocket. WHY!!!?? WHY is a rip necessary??? I could deal with the whiskering, and worn texture...but rips?? what is this 1992 all over again?!? NO THANKS!

Ordered Straight Vintage, received Straight--twice!
BR has some issues with their inventory management. Apparently, all the packages marked straight vintage actually contain straight fit. I ordered once, was disappointed, then was disappointed again when the replacement they set up was also the wrong fit. Hopefully they get this fixed soon (April 12, 2011)
