Versitile long sleeve ... This ... great addition to any mans wardrobe. My husband has it in four colors and wears them by themselves or under sweaters in the winter. They provide an extra layer of comfort and warmth when needed. They do shrink a bit if not washed in cold water. A great add!
great fitting all around long sleeve ... My husband has always had a difficult time finding t shirts, especially with long sleeves, that fit him right. He's about 6'2" with a slim build and finds, with most shirts, either the sleeves are too short or the trunk/chest is too wide. We ordered the "Solid long sleeve fitted crew ... men's medium/tall, hoping that it would fit as well as the medium/tall sweaters we've ordered in the past from BR. It fits great! We've run it in the wash now several times and it's still retained its shape and the sleeves are still the right length. It may not seem like such a big deal to people who can easily find clothes that fit, but for us we were extremely happy with the shirt. Now if only it was offered in more colors!
Put in in women''s wearI bought my first shirt in one of your stores in the mens department. I loved the feel, the length (especially) and the fit. Most women's shirts are too short . I am average size 10 women's 5,7" and 135 lbs. It looks terrific on me. Thanks,
These tees are fabulous! The colors are great and they fit like a dream. Sometimes I have trouble with tops that fit in the shoulders and chest, but are too loose in the waist and the hips. These are great. I have bought four of them.
Long sleeve fitted crew ... I bought a couple of these shirts in different colors along with other items and he loves them. I have to say that he's not easy to please when it comes to fit and he was happy with everything I bought. He likes the neck of his tees to have a nice fit around the neck and these tees fit him perfectly.
The right oneI was really looking for somthing like this with XS style.. I am a bit small person, so when i saw this online.. "No Second thoughts". Majority of my shirts, longsleeves and polos are from Banana Republic, because i love th texture of the clothing.

Wish it hadn''t lost it''s origional shape :-(When I first got this shirt, I loved it. Being tall (6'2") and with a slender build, it was near impossible to find long sleeve shirts that fit right. The real selling point for me, was the fact that the sleeve openings didn't have that [*] elastic cuff everyone else puts on their long sleeve tees. At first, the length on the sleeves and the slim profile was great...unfortunately after two wears - the sleeves have shortened up and the chest/waist has expanded. ...and yes, I followed the care instructions to the "T"...no pun intended. In the future, I hope BR will find a way to make this shirt hold it's shape better. Oh, and longer sleeve lengths for the "talls" would be great. Remember, if sleeves are too long, the customer can always have it altered. If the sleeves are too short...well, lets just say there's a good chance BR gets a shirt returned.
Great teesI've worn the white versions of these great tees from last year's batch, and bought the black and oatmeal colors from this year's batch. The black ones are as awesome as the whites, however the oatmeal colored ones seem to be of a slightly differently fabric type than the white and blacks. The oatmeal ones feel a bit more stretchy, and fit me a bit looser and not as 'fitted' as either the black or white versions.
Must be really fit or skinny!Returned the shirts!!! Cut way too small and the fabric is really soft and nice but you can not have any fat on you to wear these shirts. I am slightly over weight and trust me, they accented every extra ounce.

Versatile T ... The new basic t ... style is a much improved design for an old favorite... The sleeves are finally a good length (they can "hide" under BR's own Polo ... length is just right (not too short, and not too long). They don't offer many color options, but if you need basic white, black or dark gray, pick up a few ... you're certain to find a good use for them.
this goes with pretty much everythingthis t ... can match with pretty much anything. i wear with ... polo and v neck sweater. this color doesn't bother tops so i like to wear this as under ... also good quality so i wear just this one as tops and still looks great.
best ... My husband loves these ... They're incredibly soft and fit very well - just trim enough to not bunch under a dress ... polo, but not tight.
Cheanged over the yearsI have been an avid consumer of BR's T ... almost 20 years. I have always enjoyed the product but have definitely noticed some changes in the last two years in particular. For starters, the basic T now fits more snugly. The old Medium was slightly larger than the Medium from 2009 to present. Yes, I am aware that my body has changed in the past 20 years but luckily, my weight and measurements have remained the same so I can safely say it is the ... has changed. I still buy the Medium since the Large is too big when wearing as an undershirt and I don't like having the T's sleeves stick out from under my Large size polo (also BR). On the positive, I would say that the quality of fabric has been mostly consistent and over the past two years, slightly thicker and even more durable than before. All in all, I still recommend the ... very highly but wish the sizing would stay consistent.
Older version was WAY betterI have been buying these t ... Banana Republic for 5 years now, getting a batch of 10-15 per year, despite their price. They were always excellent quality. Thin and lightweight, but non transparent. Soft and comfortable, resistant to washing and drying and they looked pristine even after 1-2 years of constant use. Something you could wear on its own or under a ... sweater. This year, however, the size and fabric got all messed up. The ... now thicker, but not necessarily better, a lot less lightweight and much heavier. The length has increased which for me is a killer, since the ... now "shows" under many sweaters and polos I've got. And the shoulders are off, much too wide for my body. Furthermore, the neck cut is awkward, it just gets pushed back and I have to adjust its uncomfortable location every time I put on a ... sweater on top. Please RETURN the original design and fabric, they were the best!
T ... Runs ... These t ... run very ... If you wear a large, say in Polo for instance, expect to wear a XXL or larger in B.Republic. And these are very thin; really to thin for wearing alone, but probably good for layering. Is B.R. and GAP owned my the same company? I just reviewed GAP (slight better than B.R) and much of my info just popped in.

Just PerfectI can't get enough of this shirt. I have two and will be getting two more today. It's way too soft and I'm always looking for a good excuse to slip it on. The fit is not baggy but not tight either. I'm a thin guy but don't have a flat stomach so I need a little room to give me that just right look. The pima stretch shirt sold here fits very snug and shows my middle off a little more than I'd prefer. It truly stretches around you so I prefer this soft wash line much better. The extra room hides that I don't have washboard abs.

great basicsThese shirts make great basics. Wear them under a ... polo to work or by themselves for more casual look. Only caveat, the sizing seems to change somewhat over time and can be a bit inconsistent (one size S larger than another size S for example) so make sure to try them on. Also, they can be a bit long (good for tucking in but not so much otherwise).

Best tees everBeing a tall man it is difficult to find tall shirts that are also not baggy. These fit better than any I have ever purchased. They are also soft and come in great colors. Highly reccomended. A plus..
Soft & comfortable TThese are extra soft Ts that wash up well and look great. My college age son usually wears the Pima Cotton Ts and gets a size LT. The soft wash fit is a bit different --we ended up getting an XLT because he wanted a somewhat looser fit. The fabric is lightweight and will be great for summer.
NicePicked up the jade and wisteria blue colored v necks. They are fitted tees. Compared to last year's 'fitted v neck tees', the v neck this year is deeper than last year. The cotton does have a softer feel to it. Great colors. Just need to decide whether I'm going to keep the deeper v necks. Perhaps try the tri blend v neck for a shorter v neck ?
Not as Soft wash as it should be***This review is for the black vneck "soft wash" ... only*** I've purchased several soft wash tees from BR before and this one does not have the same feel and weight as the others. it is closer to being the standard layering shirts/ Basic cotton pima ... BR also sells. Slightly stiff as well. Wouldve like to return it but given how they instruct you to wash before wearing, I cant even do an exchange at this point. Quite Disappointing.
Soft, but lacking in terms of durability.The very first time I wore this short I absolutely loved it, it was extraordinarily better than BR's previous fitted tees which were awful and always way too short (literally a cropped top). But I was disappointed to discover that after washing and drying this shirt extremely delicately it shrank up in the length, its still better than the old versions but still could use about an inch and a half or so added to the length of the shirt.

DislikeMy husband has been buying the men's tall v necks from Banana Republic for at least 5 years. He has always loved how soft the shirts are and the placement of the moderate v. When we went to stock up, we were disappointed in the new style. The shirt is thinner than it ever has been before. Also the V neck is lower than it has ever been. My husband was disappointed he paid the price for the shirt, when he can order a tall v neck from somewhere else and get the same quality for half the price. We are returning this item and we probably won't order them again, which is a real shame.

XS is ok but not very smallThe XS line of items are not very small and they only have down to size 28 waist but the quality is good for the price. If you are like me and wear 26 or 27 then the XS and 28's in pants/shorts will be baggy.
