great fitting all around long sleeve teeMy husband has always had a difficult time finding t shirts, especially with long sleeves, that fit him right. He's about 6'2" with a slim build and finds, with most shirts, either the sleeves are too short or the trunk/chest is too wide. We ordered the "Solid long sleeve fitted crew tee" in men's medium/tall, hoping that it would fit as well as the medium/tall sweaters we've ordered in the past from BR. It fits great! We've run it in the wash now several times and it's still retained its shape and the sleeves are still the right length. It may not seem like such a big deal to people who can easily find clothes that fit, but for us we were extremely happy with the shirt. Now if only it was offered in more colors!
tall long sleevesOver all I like the shirts, I wish the sleeves were a little longer. I have long arms (size 37 in arms for dress shirts) and I wish the arms were another inch longer. They are differently longer than the normal length shirts. They since have gone on sale also, if they come from the outlets the shirts are only [$] which is the price to pay for being tall I guess. I would still buy them again
Nice But DifferentI am a huge fan of BR's soft ... fitted longsleeve crew t shirts. I own many - in every color. My white one got lost in the shuffle of life so I ordered another one. Alas, it is not the same cut and fit. It is nice but not as "fitted" as the previous ones. This l/s tee is on the long side. I preferred the previous fitted BR l/s tee that wasn't as long at the waist. Still well made and comfortable.
Slight DisappointmentAs great as these casual shirts fit, structure wise, the material is highly lacking in quality. I wish Banana Republic would invest into a heavier material for long sleeve shirts. Or offer the options of their PIMA Short sleeve ...
quality of tees is now downgradedI love these tees but now have a complaint. In past, the quality of the ... much smoother, light and better grade. I feel that in the last year, the company has downgraded the material and are now producing an inferior product. I noticed that the label now says manufactured in Viet Nam when previously they were made in Singapore. The shirts just aren't the same!
