Slim Fit Tall
For a person with a tall, slim body style, this shirt is excellent. Aside from getting custom made/ tailored clothing, which can begin to get expensive, this is the best low cost alternative available. I am 6'4 and have a long torso, so this shirt works wonders.
These shirts are great for me to wear to work or just to wear out. Being a pretty stocky/muscular guy it's hard to find shirts that don't have giant billowy sleeves and run twice as long as they need to. This shirt fits me in a Men's M and though the neck is a little tight when I close the top button, I won't buy any other dress shirts lately. I haven't had these BR shirts long enough to say much about durability but the seem to be holding up fine considering they are my daily work uniform. Some strings are coming loose on the inside of the button side of one of my older shirts like this one (maybe 2 months old, wearing it between 1-3 times per week), and that's the main reason for the 4 star rating.
Good product, bad service
It's too bad that Banana Republic's customer service cannot match the quality of the clothing. I have been a loyal customer for a very long time and have found that the customer service is extremely poor.

my new favorite blue shirt
I bought this shirt because I it was time to retire my old BR shirts I've had since '96-'01. They were great shirts, but after years of drycleaning they were starting to show their age. This shade of blue caught my eye and it is even better than the image on the website. It is very versatile and pairs well with black, gray, charcoal or khaki slacks in my closet. It also goes very well with my black and navy suits. BR always has a great sense of shade when it comes to men's dress shirts. The fit is as expected and not too bulky or too tight. I'm strongly tempted to buy another one.
The best shirts!!!
My husband and I have become fans of these shirts. They look great and they truly don't need ironing!!! We just wash them and put them in the drier and hang them right away and they are ready to wear! My husband wears them to work and also casually and he loves to take them in his many international work trips as they don't get wrincked in the luggage! I just got 5 new designs for him for father's day, these shirts are probably the best invention of the last few years in the field of ... clothing!
Quality shirt with great fit
The classic fit shirt actually fits like the "tailored" fit available from many men's dress shirt companies. The fit is well proportioned and is certainly not "baggy" in any regard. The fabric and details make this a quality shirt. I hope BR will offer more shirt options in the classic fit.
The Perfect Shirt
This shirt is perfect because it is true to size, and you don't have to get it dry cleaned after every wear. Non iron shirts rock! Great Material too. Keep bringin' the awesome clothing banana!
Great color and good fit
This shirt fits a little snug, but I was used to baggy items of clothing, so this probably is my perception as I got comments on how well the shirt fit me. Goes great with blue dawson relaxed chino pants or jeans. I love the fact that the dryer is my iron...
Never had a better fit
It's hard to write reviews about how clothes fit without full measurements of my own body, but I'll just say that I've purchased shirts from both Men's Warehouse and Joseph A Bank before, and they were way to big around the midsection. I normally buy a 16" neck, 32-33" sleeve. About a year ago, someone gave me a Banana Republic shirt size Medium. It fit better than any other shirt has ever fit before, even though it's technically a 15 1/2" neck. It's comfortable against the skin and just plain feels great.
Convenient, but pricey
This is a nice and versatile shirt. It's not exactly wrinkle free and does require a quick press before wearing it after a wash. Still, it makes getting out of the house in the morning a little easier. The fit on this shirt is a little unusual. Sleeves are slightly longer than usual and the chest is a bit tight. However, the shirt is still within acceptable size tolerances. I would definitely not pay full price for this item. As with other BR clothing, wait until it goes on sale or use one of the many discount codes available. This is definitely not an [$] shirt!

BIG disappointment
Not sure why B. Republic felt they needed to change the Gavin chino. The original was a perfect fit & look, & I've been wearing them for a few years now. Now, the style is different, they are too loose in the rear, & they seem to sit higher on the waist. The material itself also has a different weight - a cheaper feel. The 3 pairs I ordered on line will be returned to the store, & though I like BR for a lot of clothing, I may try J. Crew to see how their chino's are. Furthermore, if I remember correctly, there used to be the color 'Stone' which was a paler shade. The closest color with the swatches was 'driftwood' & this is definitely much more beige. All I can say is this Gavin is a big disappointment, which reminds me, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

awesome chinos for an fit, muscular build
I've been looking for some quality bootcut chinos for a long time, and these have been the perfect answer for me. I was concerned from a lot of the reviews indicating the cut is very loose and poorly fit, especially compared to the previous generation. For me, they fit great and look awesome with just enough room to get around in comfortably. With any piece of clothing the fit depends on the person. I am 162 lbs at 5''11''. I keep to a strict regular lifting and running regiment, so I have a more toned and muscular build. With lifters the extra muscle in the legs gets to be a problem, but these chinos give just the right amount of leg room. If your build seems similar to mine at all, these pants are for you. If you're more lanky with less muscle, these will be loose on you; vise versa for the husky guys. You'll want to go for the slim fits or relaxed, respectively.
Perfect boot cut chino!
It is so difficult to find a bootcut chino from men's clothing stores and this is what I needed and wanted. It fits perfectly. People who complains about this product should go for other styles. This is a true Boot Cut chino. Please don't change the design!!! I just wish they had more variety of colors.
i love these pants
i read many of the reviews about the new bootcut chinos and almost didn't purchase, but i'm glad i did. it is surprisingly difficult to find a pair of bootcut casual pants from various men's clothing stores. even more difficult to find them in colors other than khaki. i will admit that these pants are a little bit roomier than i thought it would be, but i think if i ordered a size smaller, they would be perfect. however, the light, slightly roomier size is perfect for keeping me cool in the hot summer weather. i wear these pants to work sometimes 2-3x a week because they are so comfy, yet have a sophisticated casual look. i gave these pants only 4 stars only because of the limit in color options; BR please release in more summer colors: light green, pink/red, yellow, light blue.

Pants and other clothes from BR
I like the quality and style of BR clothing (mostly). I am an adult with a small body frame (5'6/5'7 135lbs, etc.). The pants (28x30) I bought fit ok, but, in general, BR needs to start offering 'all' of their clothing in smaller sizes, not just selected items. For example, I can buy a size 28x30 pair of pants that fit my body size (sort of), but I can not buy a blazer from BR that fits that same body. I do appreciate that you have begun to offer smaller (extra small, 28 waist, etc.) sizes, but this practice needs to encompass your whole selection of clothing, including suits, blazers, etc. Sometimes it?s frustrating when things are simply out of your size range, and alternatives like shopping in Boys sections, etc. are simply not appropriate when it comes to professional work environment clothing needs. I think others who buy your size 28x30 pants might have this same perspective. Thanks.

My husband and I have always been a big fan of Banana Republic clothing until he recently purchased several pairs of jeans most of which were in darker washes. He loved the way the jeans fit, but can not wear them anymore. Even after many many washes, the dye on the jeans has RUINED our $1500 light taupe couch, his white Sketchers and has even rubbed off on the tan leather on the seats of our vehicles. We can not get this out and I am furious! We have purchased many other brands of dark wash jeans in the past that have never done this. We just wanted to warn anyone else looking to buy these darker wash Banana Republic jeans. It is a VERY EXPENSIVE lesson to learn!!
The cut of the bootcut is gone
I have purchased and owned about 5 pairs of BR men's bootcut jeans starting from 2003 to 2010. All of them have a comfort and fit that is awesome. Unfortunately the bootcut styles available now is really disappointing. Almost all of them including this style now, while they fit on the waist and length, are way too loose in the rear and in the seat. It looks like I'm wearing my dad's jeans. The one reason I liked BR was it didn't diminish my already small derriere, but this one has missed the mark. I had to return this one. Every single boot cut I have tried since then is also missing the mark. Sad.

Size Issues
After three weeks of trying I'm still looking for my right size with this shoe. I've been wearing BR dress shoes for close to eight years and with no nearby location selling men's shoes any longer (well Chicago is a close neighbor), I'm left with online. I've always been a 9.5[...] I wore the 9 for a while and I do like the shoe and am sure I will more with the correct size.
