Gavin fit chinosThese ... extremely comfortable and versatile and can be worn in all climates. Yet they always look like they were just ironed. I'm very happy with these ... recommend one pair of all the basic colors for anyone who mostly wears business casual.
Classic chinosThis is a great pair of ... not too baggy, not too slim. Comfortable. Great for work or casual. One of the few places I can buy 34 x 36 - in a slim fit. Most tall sizes are also BIG and I am not BIG, just tall.
nice chocolate ... Love the deep brown color and couldn't ask for a better fit. I've tired of jeans as my go to option for weekend wear and these ... nice option for work and casual occasions.

New straight Gavin fit ... I purchased the new ... Gavin fit ... first in black. I loved it that much that I purchased additional pairs in other colors. It's great for casual wear and can double as a business casual ... new fitted dress shirt.
Great casual cotton chinos, color is very versatile so you can wear casual at work with a nice dress shirt or on the weekends with a pullover. Super soft fabric, will order another color.

versatile soft ... watch the inseam though These pants will be slim for more athletic guys, but they are as I expected in this category. Regarding length, I have noticed some inconsistency with BR pants. Some 32" dress pants run a little long on me, while my older 32" BR dress pants are a good fit. However, casual BR pants in 32" length are short on me, these included.
Nice pants but run big...I bought these for my husband for more casual days at the work and for "golf attire" occasions. The fabric is really nice, the fit was just way more generous all around compared to other pants he has from BR. He is about 6'4" 235lbs and usually wears a 38" waist 32" inseam, the 36" waist was perfection. End of story, great pants, just order a size smaller than you get in BR dress ... if you don't want to have to exchange....good news is you can return to the store so you don't have to pay to ship back....maybe buy two, return one?
Gavin ChinosThe Gavin ... leg chinos are a good buy. They are nice looking ... work or upscale casual events. The one problem I have is the waist fit. One pair is right on and the next pair you try on is either too big or too small in the waist. Inconsistent sizing in the waist makes these ... difficult to order online - must try them on to guarantee a fit.
Inconsistent LengthI own several BR shirts and I really like the quality. So, I went to the BR store at the mall looking for some casual pants that fit. The store does not carry my size (31x34), but I saw that the size was available here online. I ordered 3 pair of the 31x34 Gavin fit ... pants. When the pants arrived I began to try them on. With the first pair I was surprised to see that the length was right on the border of being too short. I opened up the other two pair of pants and noticed one of them appeared to be quite a bit shorter. So, I got out a tape measure to see what the truth is. Well, in fact, one pair of pants is a full 1" shorter than the other two pair. And, the longest pair of pants only measures 32.5" in the inseam. My compassionate response it to feel genuinely sorry for the person at Banana Republic responsible for Quality Assurance. It amazes me in today's age that consistently producing a pair of pants that measure the length as advertised. The quality of the material appears to be nice, but I am frustrated by having to go through the process of returning these pants and hoping for ones that actually meet expectations.

Look FABULOUS on HubbyHave had trouble finding ... my athletic slim framed husband but these ... him perfectly. They frame his rear nicely and the color acorn is sharp. They can be worn just as easily with a dressy tee for a casual but put together look as with a shirt and tie. I am excited to order more Dawson chinos.

versatile soft ... watch the inseam though These pants will be slim for more athletic guys, but they are as I expected in this category. Regarding length, I have noticed some inconsistency with BR pants. Some 32" dress pants run a little long on me, while my older 32" BR dress pants are a good fit. However, casual BR pants in 32" length are short on me, these included.
Nice pants but run big...I bought these for my husband for more casual days at the work and for "golf attire" occasions. The fabric is really nice, the fit was just way more generous all around compared to other pants he has from BR. He is about 6'4" 235lbs and usually wears a 38" waist 32" inseam, the 36" waist was perfection. End of story, great pants, just order a size smaller than you get in BR dress ... if you don't want to have to exchange....good news is you can return to the store so you don't have to pay to ship back....maybe buy two, return one?

Inconsistent LengthI own several BR shirts and I really like the quality. So, I went to the BR store at the mall looking for some casual pants that fit. The store does not carry my size (31x34), but I saw that the size was available here online. I ordered 3 pair of the 31x34 Gavin fit ... pants. When the pants arrived I began to try them on. With the first pair I was surprised to see that the length was right on the border of being too short. I opened up the other two pair of pants and noticed one of them appeared to be quite a bit shorter. So, I got out a tape measure to see what the truth is. Well, in fact, one pair of pants is a full 1" shorter than the other two pair. And, the longest pair of pants only measures 32.5" in the inseam. My compassionate response it to feel genuinely sorry for the person at Banana Republic responsible for Quality Assurance. It amazes me in today's age that consistently producing a pair of pants that measure the length as advertised. The quality of the material appears to be nice, but I am frustrated by having to go through the process of returning these pants and hoping for ones that actually meet expectations.

Classic chinosThis is a great pair of ... not too baggy, not too slim. Comfortable. Great for work or casual. One of the few places I can buy 34 x 36 - in a slim fit. Most tall sizes are also BIG and I am not BIG, just tall.

They are the best ever. They were wide enough to cover my shoes the way I like and came down just perfect on the rise while still being the perfect length and waist size. Look and feel greatThese boot cut chinos look and feel better than I expected. I would recommend them to slim/athletic bodied men. They are slim through the thigh and knee and then have the perfect boot cut flare that allows them to fall nicely on top of shoes while not looking like bell bottoms. They are more casual than normal khakis or slacks but work well for going out to a casual dinner or wearing for a relaxed day at the office. While I like how slim they are in the thighs, one of my only complaints is that it's difficult to store much in the pockets and even something as thin as a smartphone bulges and is visible through the material. If you like a more relaxed fit, I would recommend going up a size.

They are casual enough to wear with a sweather or polo. These pants are great if you like comfortability while looking professional. The stretch feel makes it easy to move around. i love these pantsi read many of the reviews about the new bootcut chinos and almost didn't purchase, but i'm glad i did. it is surprisingly difficult to find a pair of bootcut casual pants from various men's clothing stores. even more difficult to find them in colors other than khaki. i will admit that these pants are a little bit roomier than i thought it would be, but i think if i ordered a size smaller, they would be perfect. however, the light, slightly roomier size is perfect for keeping me cool in the hot summer weather. i wear these pants to work sometimes 2-3x a week because they are so comfy, yet have a sophisticated casual look. i gave these pants only 4 stars only because of the limit in color options; BR please release in more summer colors: light green, pink/red, yellow, light blue.

How many of the same color do you need? charleston brown and moose brown? whatever happened to the navy or the stone, or the pinstriped from years past? its bad enough you didnt carry this style for over a year, but then to come back with basically three similar colors, and black?? personally, black should be for DRESS pants, not this type of ... unless its with pinstripes or [$] for those that work in the service industry and have to wear casual black pants. Sorry BR but ive been waiting on additional colors and all i see are the same. Not sure what you guys have been doing but youre definitely helping Express gain business.
Too baggyThese pants remind me of my youth when my mom would buy me jeans from Millers Outpost (now Anchor Blue) and I would always ask for Beyond Baggy. These pants are far too big for any work/business casual wear. Disappointing...Gave 2 stars because I will convert these pants into some shorts.
Where are the ORIGINAL Banana Republic bootcut khakis? Too darn baggy.Banana Republic was the first brand to carry bootcut khakis and chinos and dress pants. I started wearing them since 2000. They were low rise, slim or straight in the thigh and slightly wider at the bottom opening. They had fit somewhat like the famous Diesel Zathan jeans. Over the past few years, they have been replaced by a baggy, too casual, average looking ... more designed for a skateboarder than a BR gentleman. Why ruin a previously excellent and hugely popular design? And why make them only in a casual heavy ... If BR was smart, they would revert back to the original slimmer bootcut and in different varieties of wear (dress, casual, semi dress). The key is to keep the rise low, the thigh straight/slim, and the bottoms just slightly wider than normal Dawson regular fit. Why is this so hard for the designers to understand? Banana should again re emerge as the bootfit champion and not simply follow the slim modern fit tailored pants which all other stores like Jcrew and Polo carry. The key is to create the trend, NOT follow it. BR used to create it...

Great Pants for the price.I bought 2 of these pants at discount and I was not dissapointed. They look great enought to wear with a blazer or sportscoat. They are casual enough to wear with a sweather or polo. These pants are great if you like comfortability while looking professional. The stretch feel makes it easy to move around. Great for all types of weather. Definitely will buy more.
i love these pantsi read many of the reviews about the new bootcut chinos and almost didn't purchase, but i'm glad i did. it is surprisingly difficult to find a pair of bootcut casual pants from various men's clothing stores. even more difficult to find them in colors other than khaki. i will admit that these pants are a little bit roomier than i thought it would be, but i think if i ordered a size smaller, they would be perfect. however, the light, slightly roomier size is perfect for keeping me cool in the hot summer weather. i wear these pants to work sometimes 2-3x a week because they are so comfy, yet have a sophisticated casual look. i gave these pants only 4 stars only because of the limit in color options; BR please release in more summer colors: light green, pink/red, yellow, light blue.
eh . . . inconsistent, but thats tupical of BR nowadays . . .first off i have always been a fan of your bootcut chinos. always have a perfect fit. However, after buying two pairs in the same size, one fit, one did not. I understand how dyes etc can alter the siizing a little, but it shouldnt be THAT drastic. Lately this seems to be a reoccuring issue with BR, not only in these pants, but across the board. One color fits, one doesnt. I still love these bootcut chinos, but what is the deal with the colors? How many of the same color do you need? charleston brown and moose brown? whatever happened to the navy or the stone, or the pinstriped from years past? its bad enough you didnt carry this style for over a year, but then to come back with basically three similar colors, and black?? personally, black should be for DRESS pants, not this type of ... unless its with pinstripes or [$] for those that work in the service industry and have to wear casual black pants. Sorry BR but ive been waiting on additional colors and all i see are the same. Not sure what you guys have been doing but youre definitely helping Express gain business.
Too baggyThese pants remind me of my youth when my mom would buy me jeans from Millers Outpost (now Anchor Blue) and I would always ask for Beyond Baggy. These pants are far too big for any work/business casual wear. Disappointing...Gave 2 stars because I will convert these pants into some shorts.
Where are the ORIGINAL Banana Republic bootcut khakis? Too darn baggy.Banana Republic was the first brand to carry bootcut khakis and chinos and dress pants. I started wearing them since 2000. They were low rise, slim or straight in the thigh and slightly wider at the bottom opening. They had fit somewhat like the famous Diesel Zathan jeans. Over the past few years, they have been replaced by a baggy, too casual, average looking ... more designed for a skateboarder than a BR gentleman. Why ruin a previously excellent and hugely popular design? And why make them only in a casual heavy ... If BR was smart, they would revert back to the original slimmer bootcut and in different varieties of wear (dress, casual, semi dress). The key is to keep the rise low, the thigh straight/slim, and the bottoms just slightly wider than normal Dawson regular fit. Why is this so hard for the designers to understand? Banana should again re emerge as the bootfit champion and not simply follow the slim modern fit tailored pants which all other stores like Jcrew and Polo carry. The key is to create the trend, NOT follow it. BR used to create it...

Look FABULOUS on HubbyHave had trouble finding ... my athletic slim framed husband but these ... him perfectly. They frame his rear nicely and the color acorn is sharp. They can be worn just as easily with a dressy tee for a casual but put together look as with a shirt and tie. I am excited to order more Dawson chinos.

Great ValueThese ... great overall value for the quality and price. Not incredibly expensive, and the quality is superior to most chinos. I only wish they made more colors! If you notice on most of the sales recently, the Dawsons (including a few other lines) are always excluded - must mean they are pretty popular. They are extremely soft, especially after a few washes. The leg width is perfect -- not too baggy, not too tight. Great for business casual, going out on the weekends, and wearing around town. They are not the absolute best chinos, though, as they are a bit flimsy. If you want something better, try buying chinos made in the U.S. or Western Europe!

A good work ... I have a small waist and can only buy ... online. My waist is about 28 inches, but because I run and lift weights, my legs are big for my frame. I need to but a 29 inche waist just to have some room for my legs. The Dawson chinos are great because the waist is true to size and the are a little roomier in the legs. I did think they were a little short, but they are close enough for the length. I wear these to work, but they would be good for casual outings.
Look GreatOverall, I would say I really enjoy these ... great for me and they look good too. I would definitely say they are more a little more dressy than casual, but this is what I was looking for.
