Great value dress ...
There are many double sided belts in the market but this one is great for the money. Most double sided have black and medium dark brown. This one has a quite dark brown side which makes it more flexible to use with dark brown shoes. The buckle also has a beautiful and nice polished finish.

Reversible harness ...
... looks a little cheap. It is thin and the doesn't feel very well made. Hopefully, I am wrong, but I don't think it is worth the cost. This is one of the few items I have purchased at BR that I am disappointed in. In fact, I've had other BR belts that were much nicer.

Good looking ... but...
But it feels cheap. The leather is flimsey and would probably get worn out around the loopholes in a few months. But at least it LOOKS nice from afar. Decent ... decent price, but you could probaby find a better quality ... less.

Don''t Buy! Very Poor Quality!
I was looking for a nice dress ... wide enough to work for someone my size (a fit 6'2" and 215 lbs). Saw it online but decided to check it out in person at the store. I was glad I did because this ... very cheap thin leather. [...] Anyway, save your money and look elsewhere. I have several excellent quality belts from BR so this was a huge disappointment. Another example of the cheapening of their quality. [...] for the prices they charge because they have consistently shrunk, torn, broken, or worn prematurely. One might as well get something from Gap or Old Navy! What a shame...

An amazing ...
It is very good quality - leather an plaque. What I like most - width - 35 mm.

Works well. Sturdy.
Has a metal pin that snaps into the holes. Holds up well (as it should!) Reverse mechanism looks strong, we'll see. leather is good quality. Finish on buckle looks good too.

Great ... looked at many of them before I decided to choose this one. Although the price is a little steep, the quality of the leather is much better than any of the previous belts I looked at.

This ... really great and versatile, and it is worth the high price tag because the Italian leather is of very great quality and seems not to wear and tear easily.

This is a great ... color on both sides is perfect, and the leather is of exceptional quality.

I'm leary that regular reversing the buckle is going to wear out the leather area, but I love how it looks!

Ooh, ooh that smell
Great ... but it smells really bad, almost like a skunk. Not sure if this is a normal smell for Italian leather or what. The more I wear the ... worse the smell gets.

Worst design ever
As others have said, this design is just awful. Mine fell apart after several months of use. The ... looks great, leather feels good, but it pulls apart. The leather seperates from the buckle. Once it does this, the leather is gouged and the buckle cannot "bite" the leather anymore, so it easily slips out and the leather quickly seperates from the buckle. What a waste of money. I'll be looking for another ... similiar to this with a difference design that does not damage the leather so easily or sepeartes from the buckle.

Broke after 2 months!
[$] dollar ... really liked, unfortunately the buckle broke where the pin rotates to reverse the ... Now I have a [$] leather strap! Nice ... but not worth it.

Coloring is off
The two sides are nearly indistinguishable from one another. I was expecting to get a ... brown and black sides and ended up with two blacks. The quality of the leather and hardware are good, but it sort of defeats the purpose to have a reversible ... don't have a black and brown side.

skunk smell
this ... smells like a skunk seriously. i didnt notice the smell till 3 months after my purchase as the smell gets worse when the leather begins to age....only 3 months. the skunk smell actually would rub off onto the jeans. i went to banana republic to return the ... smelled the same belts on display and they too had a skunk smell.

Nice ...
This ... great! I've been looking for a brown leather dress ... didn't have stitching going down it and that was just a flat piece of leather for ages. This is exactly that and seems to be fairly nice quality. It can go with dress clothes or jeans. If I needed a black ... I'd absolutely buy this one in black!

Bought this ... my husband. Leather and look is perfect for work, simple and elegant. Could'nt be more pleased!

Not as good as previous BR belts.
This is my third BR ... kind. Simple. Leather. Wear it with jeans, khakis, or dress pants. However, unlike the first two, this one is made much cheaper. It is half the thickness of my previous belts, the buckle is half the weight and it literally squeaks. Check it out at the store before buying.

Buy at the store, not online
This ... doesn't live up to the standard I expect from BR. I am a fan of everything I have purchased at BR, with the exception of this ... leather is cheap and too thin, like it was steam pressed instead of tanned properly. I bet the on line sales blow away the bricks and mortar sales because the picture on line looks good. After a week there is a defined crease in the ... notch I wear it at. Would not be surprised if the leather ripped in the future. This is a product that needs to be seen in the store.

Not worth your money
Poor quality - the leather is thin and stiff (did they mold it out of plastic/faux leather combo). The buckle is thin, light, and feels fragile. Probably worst quality item at BR; I wouldn't even wear it if it was $5. it's going back to the store.

Great Quality
This is the 2nd one of these belts I have purchase! I bought one about 2 yrs. ago as a gift for someone and though it still has lots of wear I thought I pick up another. When you find something you like its always best to have an extra one on reserve.

basic and beautiful
I was looking for a basic but elegant ... would work well with jean or with dress pants. This is it!. The width of the ... perfect and the buckle is flattering as well. The ... soft and not stiff like other belts I have found in this price range. A classic piece you will wear for years! Sorry, they are running out online but check a local store and I bet they will ship to you. And yes, it is true to size.

This is one beauiful basic ...
I saw the ... mannequin in the store wrapped around a sweater and i fell in love. Tried it on in a large and fit BEAUTIFULLY!! shows my figure and slims!! Looks BEAUTIFUL and fits nicely! Roomy and CLASSY!!!!!! I bought it in brown in the store then just came online and got it in black. My new fav belts!!! Can make any outfit look trendy and attention catching!! I thought 38 was redic to spend on a ... but honestly sooo worth it! You wont be dissapointed.

LOVE this ...
I bought both the brown and black of these belts many years ago and they go with pretty much any outfit dressy or casual with jeans. I like belts to be somewhat simple, but yet classic and this definitely meets that criteria. I was afraid I would not be able to find this ... need a replacement so I bought one now and have it waiting :) Because this item has been in stores/online for so many years just goes to show how great of a ... really is!

PERFECT ...
I have had this same ... size medium for a couple of years but since I have lost about 15 pounds, I had to have one in a size small. My local Banana Republic store did not have the item in stock therefore I ordered it online. This is the perfect ... wear with dress trousers and with jeans. The contour ... looks so much better because it fits the shape of the garment covering the ... area where a straight ... does not. Years ago it used to be easy to find contour belts at almost every store but that is not true today. I hope Banana Republic never stops carrying these belts! It would be nice if they made the belts with a couple of different styles of buckles.

Finally!!!
I have searched high and low to find a simple black ... contoured ... wear with jeans. Finally, after looking through belts in all the major department stores, I was able to find one that has just the look that I want. This nice ... casual, yet perfect for your jeans or khaki's. I love the contoured fit which causes the ... not to pucker or stick out in the back.

Good mid width ...
This ... goes perfect with most dark color pencil skirts, and also fits very well with a wool dress I just got from BR. The contour style definitely helps show the waist line curve, without the stiffness like most other belts have. It is now my favorite ... One thing I hope BR can improve is the quality of the ... Somehow this ... very easy to be scratched. Hope it will last long, because it's not easy to find a nice contour ...

LIght, classy, stylish
Feels very light to wear. Buckle & leather is not heavy at all. Classy, modern look. I wear 0P or 00P jeans, and I got the Small ... make sure I have enough holes for adjustment in either direction. I would buy it again in another color. I've only had it for a month, so I can't comment on how it will last.

Appealing design, mildly disappointing in person - BR should review online sizing info
For anyone curious about sizing (BR's ... sizing chart is ambiguous), the medium runs 31" - 35" buckled at shortest/longest hole. 1 3/8" wide. Described as 100% leather but ... itself says "PU (or PV?) coated split leather". Waxy finish on exterior, not quite as shiny as patent leather. Buckle feels a smidge flimsy, and leather feels a bit stiff (maybe the synthetic coating) compared with Coach and other BR belts I have bought. I bought it to use with medium rise pants, but at this width I think a contoured (curved) ... would sit better on the hip than a straight cut ... like this - upper edge tends to stick out when bending/sitting. Overall, this ... has strong visual appeal, but, upon further scrutiny, quality could be improved.

Whoa! SMALL!
Based on BR's size chart, I am a small. After reading the reviews on this and the other belts from BR, I ordered a medium. It was still too small! It was a beautiful ... but I had to return it. The other belts I ordered in a medium fit perfectly, btw (studded leather and leather contour). I agree with the others that BR should update their ... sizing chart.
