Khaki Pants Men
New relaxed Dawson fit chino
$59.50

Big and Tall review
I'm on the edge of 6'5" and weigh 215 so I have to do online shopping for clothes. It's a mess because nothing ever fits - flat front ... never worked. The flat front relaxed Dawson chino, however, fits. I'm between a 35 and 36 inch waist and the 35 worked. The 36L inseam is a perfect fit. Most importantly, the crotch is NOT obscene and they fit through the thigh. They are "dressier" than other chinos in that they have the slide/hook button instead of the traditional button. I purchased two colors: acorn and khaki and they are both true fits. For other Big and Tall purchases, "Relaxed" fits work with Banana Republic. I'm just thankful I don't have to wear PLEATS anymore!

Great
So happy to finally find a pant that is fashionable and long enough for my husband. He's 6'3" and it's hard to find ... right length!

Finally, ... fit an active man!
I'm not the kind of guy that enjoys trying on ... So I'm excited to say that I no longer have to! BR has made a pant that fits an active athletic figure. These ... sit perfectly below the waist and are cut wide through the thigh for those of us that are uncomfortable in the straight leg fit. I highly recommend trying these on.

... tall men!
These ... perfect! If you are 6'5" or taller, give up buying ... department stores. You can only get them long enough online!

Nice ...
Bought these ... all three of the men in my house. They all liked them. They are a bit loose in the leg..almost baggy.

Comfortable, quality pants let down by a few flaws and inconsistencies
I've got three colors of the Dawson chino, and I'm quite pleased. I got the Charleston Brown (which is a brown so dark as to verge on charcoal, darker than the photo above), Moose Brown (which is really more of a grayish olive) and Acorn (true to photo, a nice rich British khaki.) The fabric has a nice, heavy weight but is still breathable, so they're suitable for four season wear in Denver. They tend to not hold wrinkles too badly, so they don't look like they've been slept in by noon. The colors are distinctive but not flashy, and pair well with just about every shirt I own. I found the fit to be perfect; I've got hiker thighs, and the straight fit pants just don't work for me. They're also comfortable enough to sit at a desk all day - won't ride up in the crotch. I won't rate them that much on fit, because your mileage may of course vary. I also like how these have angled pockets, rather than the Gavin's on seam pockets - on seam pockets are great if you're built like a marathon runner, but if you've got an extra 15 pounds or are just built big they stick out and make you look like you're rocking the birthing hips. A couple of minor quibbles: a double belt loop in the back is pretty necessary and not present. Also, I order 34s and usually get them altered to a 33 inch ish inseam. The acorn and moose brown pairs needed to be altered - the Charleston brown was short enough to wear without alteration. There seems to be substantial variation in length between colors, so try them all on.

6''3'''' and 36" length ... were WAY too short
I'm a tall guy 6'3'' and I'm accustomed to resorting to purchasing ... online in order to find my size (36 lengths). However I've never purchased Banana Republic jeans before (I usually stick with Gap, but they didn't have anything like these khakis) and they looked more like a 33 length, so I had to return them. Also the waist was too small as well (again I'm normally a 33-34 waist) I tried the 33 and they were too tight on me. I'd LOVE if BR make 38 length of these ... I'd buy them in a heart beat.

too small pockets detract from otherwise good pant
I've considered BR Gavin and Dawson my go to chinos. Unfortunately, the new Dawson has front pockets I find insufficiently small. Catalog models wearing the ... around a photo shoot don't need to carry their keys, phone, etc in their ... but those of us actually living in the ... need more room for stuff. I'll be returning the most recent set and try again next year to see if this shortcoming is remedied.

too short
these pants do not run true to size. I have several pairs of Dawson pants, and they are all 34 x 32. These pants are about 2 inches too short. I checked the label and it's clear the manufacturer of these pants is different than the maker of the green or khaki colored pants. How will you know? Good luck - try em on in the store first, I guess.

puzzled about length and apparent lack of quality checks
I ordered two of the New Dawsons for myself, so needless to say both were the same size. When I received them the khaki color was a full 2-inches shorter than the black pair; yes, they were both marked the same length. I must now return the shorter pair and wait and hope they're the proper length...what a hassle! btw, the new shorter waist fit is terrific. I have a couple of the older Dawsons in the same size and I like the new fit much better.

Why change it?
I have been buying these ... few years now. They have been the best Chinos I have ever owned. Why has BR changed the waist and rise of this pant? These where perfect for the working adult. Now they have lowered the waist and rise of the pant and made them for the teenagers and college kids. Most of us working adults can't and don't want to wear low waist & rise ... work or anywhere else for that matter. I will not buy this pant anymore. BR should just make another pant to appeal to the younger customers and bring back the original Dawson. BR please bring back my favorite Dawson Chinos.

The timeless Dawson chino: updated construction, more stylish than ever before, two-ply yarn for serious softness and durability.

The acorn and moose brown pairs needed to be altered - the Charleston brown was short enough to wear without alteration. There seems to be substantial variation in length between colors, so try them all on.

6''3'''' and 36" length ... were WAY too short I'm a tall guy 6'3'' and I'm accustomed to resorting to purchasing ... online in order to find my size (36 lengths). I'd buy them in a heart beat.

too shortthese pants do not run true to size. I have several pairs of Dawson pants, and they are all 34 x 32. These pants are about 2 inches too short. I checked the label and it's clear the manufacturer of these pants is different than the maker of the green or khaki colored pants. How will you know? Good luck - try em on in the store first, I guess.

puzzled about length and apparent lack of quality checksI ordered two of the New Dawsons for myself, so needless to say both were the same size.

Why change it?I have been buying these ... few years now.

I purchased two colors: acorn and khaki and they are both true fits. For other Big and Tall purchases, "Relaxed" fits work with Banana Republic. I'm just thankful I don't have to wear PLEATS anymore!

GreatSo happy to finally find a pant that is fashionable and long enough for my husband.

Comfortable, quality pants let down by a few flaws and inconsistenciesI've got three colors of the Dawson chino, and I'm quite pleased.

6''3'''' and 36" length ... were WAY too short I'm a tall guy 6'3'' and I'm accustomed to resorting to purchasing ... online in order to find my size (36 lengths). I'd buy them in a heart beat.

too small pockets detract from otherwise good pantI've considered BR Gavin and Dawson my go to chinos. Unfortunately, the new Dawson has front pockets I find insufficiently small. Catalog models wearing the ... around a photo shoot don't need to carry their keys, phone, etc in their ... but those of us actually living in the ... need more room for stuff. I'll be returning the most recent set and try again next year to see if this shortcoming is remedied.

too shortthese pants do not run true to size.

Why change it?I have been buying these ... few years now.
