These are great pants and a nice alternative to jeans. Excellent quality, but do run small by one to two sizes. Flatters slimmer figures, they are tight hense "sexy" in the name.

I usually wear a size 2 in BR jeans so I ordered this in a 2 also. Ends up they are a tad too tight so I will definitely try to get a 4. They are very cute and long enough for a 5' 8" person

good staple black skinny
Let me preface by saying I can't comment intelligently on the fit(which is what most reviewers have commented on).. I recently lost about 10lbs and am still in the process of figuring out which size I am at which stores. Generally right now, my size 0 BR stretch jeans are not fitted or tight on me- more comfy casual than going out. However, based on the reviews, I ordered a size 2 in these side zip leggings. They fit pretty well- slim & sexy, but not uncomfortable or causing bulges anywhere. I have very slim calves though, so if they're tight on me, I can only imagine how someone with muscles in their legs could get into these. They're fairly stretchy though. It also seemed like they might be a bit long- I'm 5'9'' and the size two bunched around my ankle a bit. Definitely not the same length as in the picture. They're thicker and better material than most leggings, so I feel comfortable wearing them with a top or a sweater (I also liked them rolled up a bit for an Audrey look), but I don't know that I think they're work appropriate. I guess it depends on where you work. The material is good quality, they might just be too tight for a professional setting. Probably great for going out in the evening. My only complaint is that if I wear the wrong pair of underwear, the seam in between the legs can cause an unsightly situation in the front crotch area. I guess the seam doesn't have as much of a stretch as the rest of the pant! Overall, I would recommend these to a friend.

A Perfect Trouser ... Finally!
I have been searching for a nice trouser ... finally found this pair at BR! The quality and weight of the denim is excellent. I ordered a short and found them still a little long but they are perfect with a low/mid height heel, I and 5'6". These jeans can be dressed up or dressed down and create a lengthening silhouette. If you are a fan of TLC's What Not to Wear, these jeans are just what Clinton and Stacy are talking about! Thank you BR!

Perfect pants!
I read the reviews.... gave it a go.... and am I ever happy I did. They were a little long for me, but a quick hem and they are the most perfect jeans Ive purchased yet! And the price is so right! Im going to buy another pair.... Definitely worth it. I can wear to work, out on the weekends, etc. Dress up, dress down, either way... best jeans ever!

fantastic pants
Really like wearing these jeans. I am 5'9 125lbs. and chose the size 6R. They are perfect length for my 1"boots and dress shoes. (I don't wear heels.) They are comfortable and wash up beautifully. I wash in cold, delicate, hang to dry. These are my go to dress pants. Great dark color. Smooth look...no flap pockets, distressing, or bulk. And they enhance my flat bottom. Very flattering. These are my second pair of trouser jeans from you, and I plan to buy all my jeans from you in the future because your length and quality are the best I've found. Thanks again Banana Republic.

Best trouser jeans for curvy girls
I've been looking for a long time for the perfect dark wash, straight leg trouser jeans. I've got ample hips and thighs, so I can only admire skinny jeans on others. I've tried to find cheaper alternatives elsewhere but nothing compares to these. These trouser jeans are exactly what I was looking for--they're classic! The wash is dark and rich, and the lines are straight and slimming. There's ample stretch to the material so that it hugs your curves without squishing your thighs like sausages. These are so soft and comfortable. As others have noted, you need to go a size bigger for proper fit. I usually take a size 12, but I had to buy these in a 14. Also, note the length in the product details section above. The "regular" has a 34" inseam, so these are plenty long and will require heels on most women. But boy, do they look fabulous on. They easily take 10 pounds off and make my short legs look long and lean. I know these are going to be a work horse for me this fall and winter because these jeans are appropriate in almost any situation--at a casual event, at an evening out, or at the office. Worth every penny...especially if you can get them on discount.

Love the dark indigo denims!
I am able to wear trouser or slack type jeans to work with sweaters and blazers and these jeans are really professional, but are great going out with the girls for drinks after work. The length makes it possible for my 35" inseam to wear heels for fun and flirty without putting the waist up too high. Having just lost weight, it is really nice to get back into Banana jeans from Not Your Daughter's Jeans, though there is just enough give to make them fit well and not bag anywhere.

I always have trouble with jeans. I have a thick waist and narrow hips and thighs. I bought these pants in a size 10 and they fit perfectly, except for length, which I had to shorten. Most jeans fit in the waist and then are too big in the rear. These are the best fitting jeans I have had in a long time without having to taper the sides. I am 5'7" inches and 144 lbs. Great for larger waist girls with not much of a butt.

Amazing!
When I first got these trouser jeans, I didn't think they were going to work. They were a little snug (I range from a size 8-10 in most brands) however, because they have a little stretch in the material, they ended up fitting perfect after a little bit! I got the longs since I am 5'11 and they make your legs look like they go on forever! The rise is high enough too that you could tuck in a shirt to them for a classic look. I recommend these trouser jeans to anyone! The dark color is great for a night out or work. Love love love!

Love these!
Perfect trouser jeans!!! Love the more horizontal front pockets that don't gap like a lot of the more diagonal /slash pockets on other pants and jeans. Only problem is that for my 5'6", the "regular" 34-inch inseam is an inch or two too long. I went to my local Banana Republic store to take advantage of the free hemming--a Luxe card benefit. While there I tried the shorter length, which was too short. I wish that I could order the correct inseam directly from bananarepublic.com!!!

Straight legs
These pants are very comfy and very nice looking. I was expected more of a flare or wide leg than a straight legged trouser. I don't know if that is my lack of experience in the 'traditional trouser world' or a mistake on BR part. Working in a place where jeans aren't allowed these are great because they disguise the fact that they truely are jeans!

Very comfy jeans!
The trouser jeans are very comfortable. Soft flexible demin but beware of the faux 1 inch pockets in the rear. If you have any junk in your trunk, then you might want to try these on before you buy. The faux pocket creates a lump that can look awkward if you're not wearing long sweater. I recommend a good turn in the mirror before you leave the house. Otherwise, these really are the best jeans BR has put out in a few years.

Great Jeans
These are as dressy as jeans can be. They are a straight leg in a very dark wash. I have pretty large thighs... I'm a size 10 in most jeans at Gap/Banana and that's what I purchased in these. The waist and butt area fit very well but they are pretty tight on my thighs. I'm sure that when I wear them for an hour they will get a little loser and be great. Also, I usually buy Tall sizes and these are pretty long for a Tall. It seems like it's always hit or miss with the Tall sizes. Sometimes I get a pair of jeans or pants and they are absolutely the perfect length and sometimes they are much too long. However, I would MUCH rather have them be too long than too short.
