The Best Pants EVERI have several pair of pants in the Jackson fit. These are my favorite style. They are can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories. The fit is perfect and the length works with a 2 1/2 inch heel perfectly. I wish you would make these in a brown or other color. I have so many of these ... black. There was a great dk green in the flannel ... few years back. These are a great neutral without being black. Please keep making the lined Jackson and all of the Jackson style ... women with hips They are the BEST!
Good ... me. I almost gave up ordering a suit online after reading many of the reviews stating that the sizes were all over the place and confusing, especially compared to prior seasons in this ... have also purchased the Jackson ... (although not in the lightweight wool) in prior seasons and wondered if I would get the same bad result. Some reviewers said that if you just followed the size guidelines on the web site, all would be well. I measured myself using the guidelines on the web site and came up with some crazy size I've never worn before in my life. I decided to ignore everything I read and just order the same size ... have in a pair of mostly cotton Jackson ... (4S), as well as one size bigger just in case. For reference, I am 5'4", generally about 125 lbs., and a bit pear shaped...and the size 4S ... just as I had hoped--no gap at the waist, not tight in the hips or pulling across the crotch, and the rise was just right. I didn't find the buttons at the waist or the wide leg to be extreme or sailor like. (The size 6S actually also ... but they are definitely looser at the waist and through the hips). I'm not sure why there is such a disparity in opinion about these, but I guess it comes down to body type/shape. At least for me, these ... worked out well.
More Jacksons Please!!!!! BR please listen!!!!!!I love these ... own about 6 pair of them. I wear them almost every day. These ... me perfectly. I'm a size 2, about 124 lbs. None of the other pant styles ... like these do. I don't understand why they're not in stores anymore. Bad decision BR!!! I need more work ... perhaps a light grey all weather wool.
If you have curves....Then the Jackson fit is the only ... BR that I've found that compliments us. I am a size 6 with curves and tiny waist and these ... fit me perfect. No buckling in my waist and fits through my thighs and seat very comfortably. I've read where many people have stated BR doesn't carry them in the stores, but they do carry them in their factor stores. At least the one at the North GA premium outlets does. I just purchased 5 pair today because I was just excited to find a pair of ... didn't need to be altered at the waist! So ladies, if you have a BR outlet near your home, visit them and you may just find those Jackson ... save a little more money too. Good Luck!
Love these ... I ordered these not sure if they would ... have great difficulty finding ... my long inseam. The regular length ... well and looks great with short or tall heels. These are lovely and flattering. I wear them to work, to business events, and out for the evening. Lightweight and comfortable. I have only bought dress ... Gap, but now I have another site from which to buy them. I would highly recommend these ...
Great Dress ... Work! This is the first time that I've ever purchased anything from BR. I ordered these ... two sizes because I wasn't sure of the fit. They were very true to size. I did have to have them hemmed though as I do most of my dress ... I'm 5'5 and usually always buy the curvy ... because I have larger hips and a little waist. These ... did not gap at all and fit very well through the hips. I wish they came in more colors, grey, brown, etc.
Pants a little too baggy for my tasteI have ginormous pear shaped hips, so I bought these pants because they were advertised for hippy girls. Its true, they fit well around my massive hips and thunder thighs, but its too baggy around the rest of the legs for my taste. I'm going to try another style of pants for a slimmer fit and see if its not too tight around my hips. Otherwise, I will probably have these pants altered. They are nice pants.
Great fit, can use some change in the frontI had quit wearing pants because I couldn't find a pair that fits so well until now. Wow, these pants are amazing, no need for alterations. However, the front still forms horizontal 'pleats' around the crotch area when it shouldn't. I doubt it is just me but it could be. It is less benign than the other BR fits (Martin, Logan and Sloan) that I have tried but still some room for improvement. Also love the fact that these pants are lined. I normally have to go at least a size or two up in pants because I have a time waist but wide hips but in these the size 6 fit perfectly (5'4", 134 lbs) Check out the matching jacket, it is absolutely adorable. I bought the jacket first and then the skirt and the pants. Unfortunately, the skirk slides up all the way to my breasts when worn with a shirt tucked in. Not sure why. It fits fine otherwise. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the lightweight wool collection. And did I say that jacket is amazing?
Meh, way too flared and sailor looking. I''ll keep hoping they''ll get it right next season.I wanted these to work, I have older pairs of Jackson pants and they are getting worn out so I really wanted these to work. I love the fabric, I love the fit, I hate the pockets, the buttons, and the huge flare legs. The buttons and flare leg screamed, "SAILOR" to me, why do the buttons need to be there in the first place? None of the other fits have buttons awkwardly placed like these do, they don't add to the design of the pants in any way. The pockets also screwed up the fit for me. Slash pocket have a way of flaring out and making me look wider at the hips. I have hips already, I don't need any help in making me look wider. And the flare leg, a "gentle flare" of nearly 11 1/2 inches. Pant legs have been getting NARROWER the last few years, not wider. Come on BR designers, simple pants in a variety of fabrics and colors like you do for the other fits. It shouldn't be this hard. Curvy girls need pants too!
Probably best suited for VERY curvy girls!I fell in love with the Lightweight wool suit jacket and wanted a pair of ... match. Initially I tried on the Martin fit ... These simply did not work for me- the rear was not flattering and the fabric puckered terribly in front. Then I ordered the Jackson fit online because I tend to find that "curvy" cuts work best for me. I am 5'6", 125 pounds, with an average build but full in the hips and butt. I ordered a size 2 in the Jackson fit. I believe the Jacksons are made for someone who is VERY curvy (hourglass figure) because for me, they had way too much room in the rear and the fabric actually sagged. The leg was a bit too wide leg for my taste as well. Lastly I decided to give the Logan pant a shot and the size 2 fit perfectly and are just what I have been looking for! But I think for a very curvy girl with full hips/thighs/rear and a smaller waist, these ... could work really well.
