Thicker material, proportioned well for petites, but go one size up
I am 5'1", 95lb, ~32/34A and wear BR sweaters/tops in Petite XS and base layers (tanks, camis, etc.) in Petite S so they don't cling. I tried the white timeless crewneck in Petite S, M and opted for the Petite Medium. The Small was too tight and showed bra lines but the Medium skimmed nicely such that I could hardly see the patterned bra I had on underneath. A solid, skin tone bra should vanish under this thicker material (which is much better than any other white T's I've tried on at this price point). Both the Petite Small and Medium hit slightly above my hips (yay for no tucking!) and fit well in the shoulders. The sleeves hit below the widest point of my upper arm, so I don't have that dreaded line backer look that usually happens with T's/cap sleeves.
Perfect Tee
Simply put, this is the perfect tee. The material is soft and comfy. I have three colors in different sizes... I bought the the white (not see through... yahoo!) and lilac (nice light purple color) in regular small because of some reviews stating the shirt runs small... Not sure why so many reviews state that? I'll keep the small sizes but I'm a true xs ... so I ordered the pink in an xs ... like the fit much better, less boxy looking.
Go with the regular size, not petite
Great T shirt overall, but too small. I have several of these in size regular XS and they are perfect. I wear them all the time. The pima cotton material is fantastic! It makes the T shirt look a little bit dressier than the average cotton version. This style has been around at BR for the last few years, and I have one in several colors b/c I love them so much. I saw there was a petite version and got excited and ordered them in different colors. However, they are a bit disappointing b/c they are too short, and a little snug around the bust. In short great t shirt, but I recommend petite people stick to the regular version, and avoid the petite size.
Great tee
I love these timeless tees. I have the v necks also. Size wise, I like the v’s in Petite Medium, so that the neckline isn’t too low, as I am petite. But I chose the Regular Medium in the crewneck, as the petite medium felt a bit confining on me. They fit great, are very flattering, and age appropriate, because they are very opaque. Also, they are very soft and comfortable. Love em...wish they came in more colors!
Finally a white tee that''s opaque!
I'm glad I read the reviews and ordered a couple of sizes up. These run really small and are made of 100% cotton so they will shrink in the dryer. I usually wear xxsp but ordered these in ... small. They fit but are very snug and will not be going in the dryer. I probably could have gotten away with the ... medium for a little more room but they were out of stock. Good quality cotton and opaque. Very happy with purchase.
great basic Tshirt
One of my favorite staples. This Tshirt is perfect for almost any occasion, as it can easily be dressed up or down. I found the ... size a good bit smaller than I expected. I would often wear an XS or sometimes a S in regular sizes, but I had to go with a Medium in this ... size shirt. In general, I find that many shirts are too loose in the waist and too tight in the sleeves and bust. The same was true of this shirt, but to a lesser extent. Overall a great basic T.
Nicely Styled T, Petite Size Fits Well
I ordered this T shirt in white in ... Small. White was the only color that was available at the time I ordered. I originally tried on the shirt in the store and was pleased to discover that it came in ... sizing. I am 5'3" tall and find that most tops this season are cut way too long and low cut for my frame. This tee is a light weight cotton that has an irregular slub in the knit fabric. I was originally attracted to the interesting style which is dressier than that of a normal tee. I wouldn't call the neckline a crew neck as it dips down slightly in the front in what used to be called a "necklace" neckline. On the regular size tee quite a lot of bra showed. There is shirring at the front of the neckline that is becoming. The sleeves are modified dolman, short (almost cap) and cuffed. After several washings, the cuffs don't lie flat and require ironing :-( . There is shirring at the shoulders and across the back yoke as well. The after washing/drying back length is about 22". All in all, this is a nice, lightweight tee that is several notches above a simple tee shirt. The ... small fit me well. It requires some ironing, unfortunately.
Cotton slub is super comfy and perfect for the summer
For a tshirt, this has some nice detailing. The scoop neckline is neither too low nor too high. The sides are tapered nicely but not too tightly as to reveal some fat I've acquired on my sides over the years. I like the buttoned pocket detail. Overall, this is a great tshirt to wear by itself on a warm summer day (except, of course the white one which is a little too revealing for my taste) or under a cardigan or a light jacket. Lastly, I buy ... sizes. Sometimes I find that even ... tops can be too long, but this ends right at the my hip. I liked this style so much that I bought it in all the available colors, three in the white to use as a multipurpose undershirt.
great tee, but....
I have this tee in all the 3 colors of ... M (i even have one of their cerulian blue like from last year). The black and chroma pink have the same soft fabric and sizing, which I really love. I'm not too happy with the white one, however. It is more narrow in cut and made of thinner and cheap looking fabric.
For very skinny girls who want very long shirt!
I had to return this shirt as I found it to be too narrow, too tight and too long for me to wear. I ordered Small ... which is my usual size. I could have sized up to Medium ... but the length of the shirt would have been ridiculous. I am 5'3" and the shirt was long enough to be a tunic. Other than problems with the fit, I found this shirt to be of qood quality and the color was an attractive off brown.

Sweetness !
Love this blouse. It's gorgeous and fits well. I got the 6P, and if anything it's a teensy bit snug in the bust, and I am quite small in that area. If I were to get another one, I'd definitely stay with the petite but get an 8 instead of a 6. All in all such a pretty blouse !
Washed Purple is terrific, great fit
I am 5'2" and usually wear petite clothes but I have found the regular size 2 dress shirt fits me perfectly. The petite sizes are too small for me but the regular size 2 fits perfect especially in the arms, shoulders and bust. The washed purple is a beautiful shade of purple, I have not seen a more beautiful color in a dress shirt and the feel of the shirt is very comfy. I recommend it for everyone. Thanks BR for a great color.
Great work shirt
I've been searching for a great basic,fitted button down shirt for work in petite sizes. I normally like to try on clothes in store, so I took a risk on ordering online. I followed the size chart. I have a small bust (A) cup and the chest is on the cusp of being too tight with a normal bra (some padding)- so if you have anything above an A cup - size up. The length is great - I have a longer torso and bigger hips but the bottom of the shirt fits well untucked. I purchased 4 shirts (black, white. light blue and light pink) in 4P and I am really happy with them.
classic, crisp never wrinkle blouse
Very comfy for a button down blouse. 3% lycra makes it non stuffy and great for many uses. Comes beautiful because it won't wrinkle. This blouse is lovely and classic and great for the everyday woman.I'd say it's pretty true to size, I am a petite and I got petite size, only a bit lenthy in the sleeves, otherwise it is well tailored
Not as good as I expected
When I first opened the package, this shirt was covered in wrinkles. Based on the numerous reviews stating that this shirt was too tight in the bust, I went up from my usual size of Petite 0 to Petite 2. Huge mistake. The shirt was too large at the bust, waist, and arms. The fabric isn't as shiny as you'd imagine. There's really not much of a sheen at all. The Blue Glow is extremely light blue. It's not as dark as the picture shows. This shirt is okay, but not excellent. If I purchase another, I will surely stick with my normal size.
Classic fit
I am 5'1, 115lbs, small busted, and the 4P fit PERFECT. I was drowning in the regular so you petite gals beware. Purchased the Delicious Berry and it is a great color. I really have no complaints about it and I am going to reorder in the white. Very nice classic fit.
Better Fit in the Bust and Arm Length
I just received this shirt and I'm pretty happy with it. I have another color I bought in the store in a regular size 10. I'm 5' 3 1/2 ", approximately 130lbs, and a 34 D. The size 10 regular I previously purchased is long in the arms, fits oddly in the shoulders and slightly puckers in the chest. When ordering my new shirt online, they were out of size 10 so ordered a 12 petite which fits much better! Sleeve length is perfect, the shoulders fit much better and the chest hardly puckers. The only disappointment is the length which would be a little longer and the shirt looks a little thin. I would recommend going up a size in and getting a petite if you are having the same problems and have a slightly bigger chest.
Nice fabric but difficult to get the right size
I first tried this shirt on in regular 0 in store because they don't carry any petite sizes. It was overall too big and too long for my 5"4, 110lb. figure. So I had the store ordered petite 0 for me, hoping it would be a perfect fit. However, when I received petite 0 and tried it on, it was really tight around the chest (good elsewhere) and I'm never a busty girl. I thought the only differences between petite 0 and regular 0 would be the sleeve & body lengths and there shouldn't be such a big difference in chest space. So I had to go back to the store to return and have them order petite 2 this time [...]. Also I found the color selection online is different from in store. This time I ordered a white one and a really lovely soft pink that's not available online. Besides those, this shirt has really good fabric and quality.
beautiful shirt, but terrible fit compared to the regular size
I bought this shirt because the satin finish and details are fantastic for this price and the shirt looks wonderful with fine suits. However, the petite sizing (and particularly the 0P sizing) is terrible. I am 5' 105 lbs, so in the stores, I tried on the 0, which fit very nicely in the bust and the buttons fell in the perfect places to wear under a suit jacket, but the back length and sleeves were too long, so the associate convinced me to order the 0P. The petite was too tight in the bust, too loose in the waist, and even worse, the buttons were not positioned in the same place on the placket as the regular, making the shirt look terrible with the same size BR 0P suit jacket. Don't bother with the petite -- get the regular and take it to a tailor.
Different colors different cuts
I ordered the Petite non iron fitted sateen shirt in both winter berry and white, both in 00P. While the white one fits like a glove, the winter berry is too big in the shoulders, too tight across the chest, the arm holes are strangely cut and so the pit of the arm comes too low, while there is excess material in the shoulder area. On top of all that the upper arm AND wrist widths are VERY tight. The shirt I received in the winter berry color must have been twisted on the assembly line or something. It is such a different fit from the exact same shirt in a different color. Bottom line, I LOVE the shirt IN WHITE. But I will be returning the Winter Berry shirt. The White Petite non iron fitted sateen shirt gets 5 STARS, the Berry Petite non iron fitted sateen shirt gets 1 STAR
Oddly cut shirt
I am 5'3, with a boyish figure and typically wear a size small or 4 in BR clothes. I bought this shirt in white, petite size small. The way the shirt was cut makes me think it was meant to flatter ... pear shaped figures, as the bottom of the shirt flares out quite a bit, but the chest fits perfectly (I wear a 34A). The sleeves and shoulders also fit perfectly, though I wish the collar were a bit smaller/shorter in terms of height--I have a short neck and dislike anything that covers it too much. The overall length of the shirt in the petite size was about two inches too short to tuck comfortably into pants and the flared bottom made it look odd when untucked. I found the material to be a little rough feeling and not as silky smooth as cotton dress shirts I've bought at BR in the past. I ended up returning it.
