High quality classic
This is the second type of ... I've purchased from BR in the last six months, and their coats are one of the only reasons I keep coming back to BR. I am 5'11" and 150 pounds and ordered the Tall Medium and it fits perfectly. (I am a little small in the chest so please consider that when ordering.) Great things about this ... include sleeves that are perfect in length, and a waist that's in the right position for tall girls. The buttons and other hardware don't look cheap, and the belt seems to be made for tying rather than "belting" - it's quite long. The material is not shiny, but not completely matte either - just a smooth, luxurious cotton. The lining is a white/blue stripe and is so cute - BR should have touted this in the description because it's a selling point. This ... going to last for years.

Amazing!
I have made a decision to only by coats from Banana Republic, and this ... reason I keep coming back. The material is absolutely fabulous. It's not thin and cheap like many trench coats are; it's meant for heavy wear and is meant to last. I wore it on a windy rainy day the other day and it kept me warm and dry; wind didn't get through it at all. Also, I am 6 ft. tall, I have a hard time find coats with long enough sleeves; not with this trench, it fits just right, the sleeves were perfect and sat just below the wrist. If you are hesitant, don't be; spend the money and get the ... wont be sorry!! And you'll feel fabulous and look beautiful in even if it's down pouring!

Tall and lovely
The exterior fabric, lining, and overall quality of this garment is great. I purchased a Tall Medium, and I'm about 5'10'' and 160lbs. The length, color (khaki), and quality of this piece are all great. Overall I'm very glad I made this purchase. There are only some minor problems. The sleeves are a little bit too long for me, and I have fairly proportionate arms for my height, so that surprised me. The belt is also literally twice as long as it needs to be, so it's kind of annoying to take it on and off. And, finally, my shoulders look a tiny bit broader in this ... than I wish they did, but that may just be a feature of all trench coats. I really like the piece, and I think it is very true to how it looks in the picture.

Trenchcoat with some minor modifications
Bought tall medium. I am 6ft., 145lbs, 75A, and my length is in my upper body, not legs. Love this ... Since I have square shoulders, the ... looked somewhat angular and military style. Also, the belt was way too long. I prefer to use the buckle than to tie the belt. So, had the shoulder flaps removed and the belt shortened ($25 total). The belt/waist of ... still sits a little high on me, but definitely better than all the regular coats I have tried. The sleeves are generously long, they end in middle of hand, not at wrists. While the ... fits me well, I could imagine that it might be too tight around the chest for women with bigger breasts. I also do not see the point of the flap on the left side, but I got used to it and it does not bother me anymore. And beware, due to its trench ... style, there are lots of buttons to deal with when putting it on and off - slows me down quite a bit. And if I were BR, I would put a dark lining in. But all in all - love it!
