Great Bag!
Perfect back for a 15" laptop! Nicely made and padded to protect the contents of the bag. Also, very clean and classic lines. For the price, this has been a very good bag for my needs... bought it in black so it goes with most of my clothing.

Disappointing Bag.
The reviews of this bag have been overwhelmingly positive, so I was somewhat surprised when the actual item arrived, and failed to live up to my expectations. My standards were based on a similar BR messenger bag that had dutifully served my needs for over 5 years. The strap on that bag finally broke, and I was thus compelled to get the latest version. I would return this item if the previous bag was still functional. The styling on this model is very nice, and I appreciate some of the subtle details, such the magnetic fastener snaps, and the external industrial stitching. Otherwise, this item isn't much use to a man on the go, it's function being essentially that of a tote bag, not a genuine messenger bag. Unlike my previous bag, there are no slots for pens, and the front zipper pocket has less than half of the carrying capacity. The interior is also less roomy, and if you plan on cramming your laptop in here with more than one standard sized book, you will be obliged to get creative with the placement. Another problem is that the compartments are not positioned in such a way so as to provide comfortable positioning for things like digital cameras, chargers, or other electronic accessories that one is likely to carry in this bag. Be prepared for a lot of bulging. There is also an annoying metal logo plate with two small screws, positioned on the inside of the bag, that will scratch your laptop exterior is you don't position something in between. Really a pointless inclusion. The previous bag used a simple printed tag. The construction and the quality of the materials is also compromised in comparison with the previous bag. The strap is made of a weaker weave material, and I doubt that this will last me the 5 years that my previous strap endured. The synthetic canvas of the bag itself is also thinner, and however attractive the external stitching may appear, it is more likely to catch and fray, eventually undoing the seams. To my fault, I should have examined the bag in store, or spent the extra money and purchased the leather version. Nevertheless, I was basing my expectation on my previous BR messenger bag, and this one falls very short of that product. BR 's previously high standards have been slowly eroding the past few years, in my humble opinion, and this bag is indicative of a general decline in quality.

For those who have trouble fitting conventional pants........
If you are like me, your pants feel like cardboard. you either go a size too big in a pant to accommodate a tight waist, and short crotch, or you go smaller, to accommodate too much baggy room around the thighs and hips. If you are like me you end up wearing stretchy yoga pants most of the time to get the fitted funky look you can't get in pants. This legging is a perfect solution the one I bought has some stitching along the inner calves to really look like pants, but, it fits like a legging as well. Works wonders tucked into a high boot. The elastic around the waist is flat, quite minimal and subtle so you won't get a bulge under a T shirt. It says dry clean I wash mine by hand. so far, after about 2 hand washes, the fabric is durable and keeps it's quality. For sizing: I'm generally a size 11 in a pant, and I'm wearing the large. Banana Republic, you should make this in a dark stretch denim, produce more larges for people like me who don't fit well in high style pants, and you should design more tops and accessories to match it so it sells an outfit!

Adore these pants!
My father bought these pants for me as a Christmas gift. Usually we are not exactly on the same page when it comes to clothing, however I absolutely adore these pants. They are dressy enough for work, yet able to wear out after. They are similar to leggings but a thicker material so that I feel comfortable wearing them with even a blouse. I just wish that they came in other colors. I would buy them all in a heart beat!

Slimming pants that feel like leggings but look crisp + elegant
I want to lose about 15 lbs; when I wear these pants, I look like I already did. I also look taller in them. I also feel as comfortable as I do when I wear yoga pants. If you're like me (a professional woman who needs clothing appropriate for ia conservative environment) I recommend that you: (1) go up a size, so they fit not like leggings that show all your business but like slim, elegant, crisp cigarette pants; (2) wear Spanx high waisted Slimplicity brief underneath to avoid muffin top and panty lines. These pants are kind of like a dream come true: comfortable, slenderizing, leg lengthening, tailored looking but comfortable feeling. I wish I had a whole closetful of them.
