Best ... ever
Best ... ever. I'm a 4 in most BR ... They ... best (Bra size 75B, about 120lbs, 5.7). Sleeves are the right lenght, as well as the ... lenght doesnt slip out of low waist ... chest good ... buttons dont bust open Got this in almost all colors super to wash/iron/take care off. Wear them almost every day in the office (business required) and in the evening with jeans and boots. With or without blazer/jacket, 100% wrinkle free while u wear it Wish they would come in more blue colors now... Will keep buying. Totally worth the money.

Great ... not non iron
I ordered three of these in tall (I'm 6'1") and they ... great and are very flattering to my lanky frame. My only disappointment is that they are definitely not non iron. I don't put them in the dryer, as I don't want them to shrink, so I smooth them out and hang them on a hanger to dry. They definitely need ironing, even after that. I was really hoping for ... can pack for business trips and they would come out reasonably crisp on the other end, but no. They're still great looking, so I'll live with that.
Why? ...Why?
Banana Republic... your clothing is usually so stylish, well made and consistent. Why can't you figure out that this ... too tight for any woman with a chest (even a small one)?! Please make the necessary adjustments ASAP. It's hard enough to find any store that makes quality, chic business apparel.

These chinos fit true to the size and are great looking. They are soft and will go well with any business casual look.
I recently bought the exact size, in store and they fit perfect. You would think that the size would be the same ordering online, but its not. Each ... different. What a hassle. I had to return in store, and find a ... matched, which ended up being a size small in the waist and one size larger in the length. How does that even happen?Extremely disappointed with customer service as well. I used a 15% coupon and the ... went on clearance the following day. I was told they will not match the price change because I used that coupon. Extremely. Disappointed. Although that product is nice, once you go through the hassle of finding the right size, the overall shopping experience will make me take my business elsewhere.

Dawson ... chino
These are very comfy ... almost want to wear them every day. There is nothing to complain about, ... just right, not too loose not too tight either. Color is as expected and quality is just perfect. I recommend this model to everyone who has to look business ... comfortable at the same time.

New Dawson Chinos
I am very pleased with the new Banana Republic Dawson chinos. I purchased the moose brown color. It appears a little darker than as pictured on the website. However, style, fit, and quality seem up to par and in line with Banana Republic's better offerings. That said, the Gavin chinos may offer a slightly more polished ... those looking for a business ... pairing. Of course, that will depend upon one's particular business.
As long as BR is in the Dawson business, I'll remain as a customer. Thanks for a great product, BR.

Great Value
These ... great overall value for the quality and price. Not incredibly expensive, and the quality is superior to most chinos. I only wish they made more colors! If you notice on most of the sales recently, the Dawsons (including a few other lines) are always excluded - must mean they are pretty popular. They are extremely soft, especially after a few washes. The leg width is perfect -- not too baggy, not too tight. Great for business ... going out on the weekends, and wearing around town. They are not the absolute best chinos, though, as they are a bit flimsy. If you want something better, try buying chinos made in the U.S. or Western Europe!
Do Not expect good customer service
Each pair of the Dawson ... usually cut a little different. Make sure the ... before leaving the store. I would have a hard time buying the ... line as they are cut different. In my experience when trying to return merchandise, Banana Republic has the worst customer service and return policy in the clothing business.

Great pants!
I wear 31x30 in all BR pants, jeans and slacks and these fit perfectly as advertised. I love the relaxed fit Dawson chinos but decided to give these pants a shot for a different look and I'll definitely be buying more. They're like a slightly dressier version of the Dawson fit. A lot of reviews mentioned a leg opening that is too big but mine are the same as the Dawson, the only difference between the two pants is the thighs are cut slightly slimmer for a more classic look. These pants work great with my casual dress shoes and boots when you need something slightly cleaner looking than the relaxed Dawson pant and don't like the straight fit look of the Gavin pants.
Nice Variation on BR Theme
I'm a huge fan of BR chinos. I've beem wearing them for work for the past twenty years. These are the same comfort and quality as their other BR chinos - only a slightly updated fit. Lower rise, wider boot cut but still very business appropriate - just a more "hip" fit and finish.
BEST EVER
I bought these pants because I had no black dress pants. I LOVE THEM. Im short (5'6) and have the infamous "bubble butt and hips" and only like boot cut pants. I love these pants. They are the best ever. They were wide enough to cover my shoes the way I like and came down just perfect on the rise while still being the perfect length and waist size. I bought one of every color and am buying a second round of one in every color. I dress business casual for work and get so many compliments on these pants.
My husband loves these chinos!
He's a guy that prefers to dress for work. Having to wear jeans at his current job took some getting used to for him. These chinos allow him to feel a little dressier than jeans, yet still casual enough for his office environment. The cut is perfect so it hangs well and of course the flat front is essential - no pleats here. The fabric weight is just enough - not too thin not too thick - so it's wearable year round here in So Cal, and the color - I got him the Charleston Brown which seems to me like a deep olive more than brown - goes with everything. Unlike what other reviewers have mentioned, on this particular pair the boot cut is fine and not too wide. And too, it's the perfect travel pant because it holds its shape and looks good even after sitting on a plane for many hours.
i love these pants
i read many of the reviews about the new bootcut chinos and almost didn't purchase, but i'm glad i did. it is surprisingly difficult to find a pair of bootcut casual pants from various men's clothing stores. even more difficult to find them in colors other than khaki. i will admit that these pants are a little bit roomier than i thought it would be, but i think if i ordered a size smaller, they would be perfect. however, the light, slightly roomier size is perfect for keeping me cool in the hot summer weather. i wear these pants to work sometimes 2-3x a week because they are so comfy, yet have a sophisticated casual look. i gave these pants only 4 stars only because of the limit in color options; BR please release in more summer colors: light green, pink/red, yellow, light blue.
Look and feel great
These boot cut chinos look and feel better than I expected. I would recommend them to slim/athletic bodied men. They are slim through the thigh and knee and then have the perfect boot cut flare that allows them to fall nicely on top of shoes while not looking like bell bottoms. They are more casual than normal khakis or slacks but work well for going out to a casual dinner or wearing for a relaxed day at the office. While I like how slim they are in the thighs, one of my only complaints is that it's difficult to store much in the pockets and even something as thin as a smartphone bulges and is visible through the material. If you like a more relaxed fit, I would recommend going up a size.
eh . . . inconsistent, but thats tupical of BR nowadays . . .
first off i have always been a fan of your bootcut chinos. always have a perfect fit. However, after buying two pairs in the same size, one fit, one did not. I understand how dyes etc can alter the siizing a little, but it shouldnt be THAT drastic. Lately this seems to be a reoccuring issue with BR, not only in these pants, but across the board. One color fits, one doesnt. I still love these bootcut chinos, but what is the deal with the colors? How many of the same color do you need? charleston brown and moose brown? whatever happened to the navy or the stone, or the pinstriped from years past? its bad enough you didnt carry this style for over a year, but then to come back with basically three similar colors, and black?? personally, black should be for DRESS pants, not this type of pant, unless its with pinstripes or [$] for those that work in the service industry and have to wear casual black pants. Sorry BR but ive been waiting on additional colors and all i see are the same. Not sure what you guys have been doing but youre definitely helping Express gain business.
Pocket Change
Looks like they changed the back pockets. They used to have a flap over each of the back pockets. That was one of the differences between these and the all the other casual pants.
Nice texture but not really what I expected
Fine texture and color. I am not quite a regular nor a real big n tall guy. I a 6'-2", 235lb and I will wear a 33-34 long pants. 34 in the boot cut made it drag. Most of all, the leg is too wide for my style (work n casual). I will stick with the Dawson -great fit all around.
Too baggy
These pants remind me of my youth when my mom would buy me jeans from Millers Outpost (now Anchor Blue) and I would always ask for Beyond Baggy. These pants are far too big for any work/business casual wear. Disappointing...Gave 2 stars because I will convert these pants into some shorts.
