Flattering ... taller women
I absolutely love this shirt, which I now ... all colors. As a 6'2", 160 lb woman in her 20s, finding professional clothes that ... correctly is a challenge, much less ones that are both fashionable and affordable. I am very impressed with BR's ... line in general, ... shirts ... like ... were custom made for me. I love the slim ... cut, and the shirts are long enough to wear tucked in to dress ... sleeves are long enough without being too baggy. Besides that, the non iron feature works very well. At times, all that's needed is a little tumble dry before wearing and it stays wrinkle free all day. I can't say enough good things about this shirt, except that I wish it came in more colors!

almost perfect
I own several of ... shirts. I'm 5'10 (legs longer than upper body though), 135, 36B and I order a 6T. I can actually tuck ... shirts in, and they're fitted at the waist so ... don't balloon out too much. I agree with other reviewers that ... little narrow in the shoulders, ... works for me (I guess everyone is built differently). My only problem is that the sleeves are a touch long, ... they're not so long that it's worth having ... tailored. I love that ... come in small ... sizes -- all the other places that sell button downs for talls only go down to a 6, and their 6 (lands end, eddie bauer) is a vanity size and really an 8 or 10. Also - quality on ... shirts is excellent!

The staple of my work wardrobe!
This truly is the absolute perfect work shirt. I don't know how I'd get by without it! It fits, it flatters, it looks great, and it resists wrinkles. I own SIX of ... different colors, and will continue to buy more. I love that this looks expensive, ... doesn't require any of the special care that finer looking clothes often require. I can just throw this in the wash with my regular clothes, and I love that I can pull it out of the dryer and hang it up and it's ready to wear. You can wear an undershirt under ... lines won't show through because this fabric is a really nice weight, not tissue thin like some other dress shirts. I am 5'9" with a long torso and arms, and I get ... either a 2 ... 4 ... depending on whether I want the shirt to be quite fitted, or ... more relaxed ... am SO HAPPY to find a place that sells beautiful, quality shirts for women who are not just ... slim. My wrists are covered, and I can rest assured knowing that ... long enough to cover my waistband, and even tuck in to more high waisted styles. My only criticism: when I button this shirt all the way up to the collar, I get some weird gapping between the top two buttons. A necktie covers this up more or less, ... bowtie does not. :(

Perfect ...
I am pleasantly surprised with the updates to the ... non iron sateen shirts. Nice ... well placed darts that provide nice shape to the front of the shirt- especially for us women that are a bit fuller busted. Shirt tail is long enough to stay tucked in. The new colors are flattering and fun without being overstated.

Good ...
I often ... problem with gaps in button down shirts, ... one fits well on me despite the reviews saying otherwise. I expected it to ... bit more sheen, ... still looks nice. Thank goodness for size talls. Some stores are eliminating their size small talls, which drives me nuts.

I like it, you may not
I'm 6'0", 145 lb, 34B, arm length proportionate to height. I purchased 4, regular length. The ... bit snug through the shoulders and short through the arms (not terribly so) and I will only buy talls in the future ... am satisfied with the ... surprised by how slim the upper arms are. ... suit me, ... have thin biceps. The body is just barely long enough to usually stay tucked in my mid rise work trousers. The bust pulls ever so slightly at the button if I wear a thicker bra. I WOULD NOT recommend this shirt to anyone over a B cup. There are no darts or bust shaping in this style. You would need to size up to ... bust and will not achieve a smooth, fitted look through the waist and may experience wrinkles pointing from the underarm to the bust point. Try rhymes with-K Threw for more fitted button downs. I find the un ironed finish straight from the wash unsatisfactory ... am extra picky (can you tell?). The shirt comes out of the wash with significantly fewer wrinkles than my non treated cotton shirts. I wash on cool/cold (label says warm), do not use the drier, and iron on medium heat (label says medium iron). Ironing time is 2-3 minutes doing spot touch up for an excellent finish versus 5-7 minutes for a non treated shirt, so I'm pleased. The SA told me never to dry clean or the fabric would lose its anti wrinkle treatment.

Too tight in the chest
I am a Banana Republic sales associate, so not only I have seen countless women try this shirt on over the last year or so, I decided to order one for myself in ... am 6ft ... ~175, very pear shaped - normally in our tops I am a size 6 ... S ... Beware: a majority of women who try this shirt on find it is too tight in the bust - women who do NOT usually have this problem. Because I was aware of the tight in-the bust issue, I bought this in a size 8 ... "black" and "blooming berry" - and yes, both did not ... me in the bust. Please note- I am NOT busty myself - I am barely a B cup! Going up the size to accomodate for the bust does result in a baggy ... around the waist. Otherwise, this garment in a ... size is well adjusted. And the fabric really is wonderful.

Very narrow shoulders!
Seemed to be a nice shirt, ... cut too small. I ordered an 8 ... which should ... shoulders seemed to be cut to ... 0 petite woman. Note to BR: ... women are generally built proportionally larger all over. Narrow shoulder seams with shoulders sticking out a couple of inches is ... professional look. Returned it. I'm disappointed because finding nice, basic long sleeved office wear shirts in ... sizes is ... easy.

Had to return...
The navy sateen was the fourth fitted shirt I bought. All the others were size 6 talls. Went up a size with the navy to an 8 ... because ... shrink a little over time across the chest. Had to return because the sleeves were an inch above my wrist bone!!! The sleeves were a good 3 inches shorter than my other shirts in the same style. Boo!!

I bought this in pink. I previously purchased the white and LOVED it. As a women with long arms, it is super nice to ... see my wrists in dress shirts... I ... previously purchased several BR shirts in ... SO with this shirt (in pink) anyway. ... sure how this happened, ... seems like someone is trying to get away with selling the pink regular length shirt as ... returned it as fast as I could.

BR''s Tall''s are getting shorter
I'm 6'2" and was very excited when BR and Gap finally started carrying ... clothes for women who are actually ... (over 6" and not just 5'8" and above like may other "talls"). However, ... seemed to have gone back to the short "talls". I ordered this shirt in a size 6T (I'm thin ... broader shoulders/rib cage (yet small chest) and had to return. The sleeves were too short, not too mention too tight (stick arms only for this shirt). The the body was also WAY too short to tuck in and tight around the arm pits. However, it was nicely fitted around the waist and bust so that I fear if I go up a size, it would be swimming around the mid section.

FABULOUS!
Let's face it ladies, who really ENJOYS shopping for ... Not many of us. After countless shopping trips trying to find some career ... happy with, I finally broke down and went to BR. The only reason I was against it is because I had already gone to the Gap and their ... didn't ... me well at all. I tried on the Sloan Flare ... fell in love. ... perfect! As others have said, I wish there were more color choices available, BUT I will be buying numerous pairs of the colors that are because I like ... so much! I'm 5'9 and the regular length works great for flats... I do however think it's interesting that the 'TALL's' are 3 inches longer than the regulars. That's quite a jump... ... thats what alterations are for! DEFINITELY recommend ...

BEST ... EVER!
... best fitting ... High quality, thick material that hugs the body without pulling and puckering. Flattering for women with curvy bodies. Flare leg elongates the legs. I own two pairs and am coming back for more every season. BR, keep making ... - ... fantastic!

Great ...
I found all the glowing reviews a bit hard to believe but bought ... during a sale to try. They are truly fabulous ... Tailored enough for business, but not too dressy. I prefer to wash my clothes instead of dry clean (avoiding chemicals) so I loved that past reviewers recommended cold washing and air drying before hemming. I did do that, and I believe there was little or no shrinkage. I had to hem a little bit anyway, so a tiny bit of shrinking wouldn't have mattered in my case. The fabric to ... really nice; slightly stretchy but still tailored looking. Strangely, the light brown color ... didn't ... well, or I would have gotten another pair. And I wish ... came in navy...

Love ...
The perfect "business casual" pant. Dressy enough to wear to work or to dinner, but also very comfortable. I have 4 pairs! (2 in black, 2 in other colors)

Fantastic, versatile, flattering slacks!
Extremely flattering, even on curvy figures (size 10-12). The fabric is a nice weight, with just the right amount of stretch, allowing them to keep their shape throughout the day, rather than sagging or wrinkling. I generally do not buy unlined slacks, given their tendancy to show every physical flaw. In addition to the great ... slacks are extremely versatile, and can be dressed up or down, appropriate for business casual/business or casual settings. I purchased a pair in the store several months ago, and was thrilled to find them still available. I plan to buy two more pairs now. The modern classic styling ensures that ... staple in my closet for as long as BR continues to carry them!

Soft ... fabric
I had ordered a 6 (which I usually wear), but was too tight overall, but mostly in thighs. Waiting for an 8 to arrive, but I am sure it will ... perfectly. Love the length as I am 6' plus heals is not a high water pant. Thank you to BR for carrying talls for the LONG legs of the world!!!

Nice ... going out
... very flattering, but I had to have the waist and hips taken in. I purchased a size 0, and the waist was extremely big. It's a great pair of ... going out to dinner, a party, or some place fun. Depending on your work dress code, I think ... can transition well from the office to evening attire.

Flattering, comfortable work ...
... great ... work - can be dressed up with a suit jacket or business casual with a top. I like the ... through the legs in particular. The rear can get a little bit saggy with wear so I have to dry clean more often than some other ... All in all, very happy with ...

Casual work ...
Due to the material of the ... wouldn't wear ... important business meeting, but they're great for more casual days and are very comfortable. They're a little big in the waist, but I have that problem with most ... I'm 5'4" and ordered the short length, and can still wear ... 2-3" heels.

This review is for the tan striped ... more typical for Spring
The pattern here is really cool (I got the tan w/stripes) but the fabric does wrinkle a bit over the thighs during the day. I guess its a necessary evil when you have a thinner fabric for the warmer months. I don't mind it as much b/c I'm in a business casual office; however, I would err against them if you need to be polished and professional.

SPECTACULAR PANTS
I don't understand some of the reviews saying that because they ordered their regular size in this pant and it was small...that they are going to send them back and never buy them again. Seriously? Sure it might be a little blow to the ego, but let's be reasonable. It's the cut, style, and look of the pants that matters, not the size. If this pant is too small or too short in your regular size and/or length, the solution is to order a size up or longer length and get them tailored to fit perfectly. I'm sorry, but the cut and style of this pant is spectacular. I, too, have a few pairs in 2 different sizes that fit the same ... but I could care less. Why?...Because they all look amazing and that's what matters, not the size tag on the inside of my pants. That's why you have to try clothing on; it's not a new thing in any brand for pants of the same size to be smaller or looser than another pair. Plus, almost all quality high end garments require tailoring for a customized fit. For example, for me the regular length is too short and the tall length is too long (I have a 34.5in inseam), so I order the tall and get them hemmed to the exact length that I need; the result is perfection. I wouldn't give up on these pants if the size you order is off; exchange them for a different size... you'll be happy you did. Thanks again Banana Republic, keep up the great work with this pant... keep the cut and style the same...they are #1 in my book.

Great slacks
I absolutely love the cut of these pants. I bought them for business events and interviews. While I normally wear an 8 in Banana Republic pants, I sized up to a 10 and they fit great. I'm 5'6, 150lbs, and have a pretty athletic/curvy shape. I have a short torso and was amazed and delighted to discover that I actually looked good in these pants with a blouse tucked in. I opted for the shorter length so I wouldn't have to have them hemmed (I won't be wearing very high heels with these and definitely wanted the option of wearing flats). The material is light and crisp looking but comfortable. All in all, I whole heartedly recommend these.

Perfect black pants!
These are the black pants that everyone needs in their closet! They are a very classic style - not too wide or narrow. I ordered the "tall" length and they are perfect with heels for this tall girl. The quality is great and they launder well. I would highly recommend these to someone looking for a year round pair of black pants.

Nice lined pants!
These ... look great and are long enough to wear with heels! I'm 6 feet tall and it's wonderful to find ... long enough for us tall ladies. These ... very professional looking and hang nicely. I did have to buy a size larger than my normal size, but otherwise great purchase.

Love these Pants
I'm 5'3 and a size 4. I'm too tall for petite pants and too short for regular pants with heels. I buy these in short which are longer than petites. Love the fabric and love the fit. I originalliy ordered a pair in Gray and went back and bought a pair in Black too.

These pants are AMAZING!!!!!!!! BANANA REPUBLIC, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THESE PANTS & PLEASE NEVER STOP MAKING THEM!!!!!!!!!! BR, you will always have a loyal customer in me if you keep making these pants as they are. Please make them in as many colors as possible. These are a classic wardrobe staple. I am 25, 5'10, and wear a 12 Tall, and it is very difficult for me to find pants that fit great. These pants are remarkable. I would say that they fit very true to size because I wear a 12 in everything else. I just bought about 4 new pairs of these and they are amazing. I'm a healthcare professional and I wear trousers almost every day in the office, so I require several pairs. In addition, I wear them out to nice dinners, etc. Ladies, I have tried every brand out there... and finally the search is over for the perfect pants; these offer the style, quality, durability, flattering fit, and comfort that I need for work and play. These are true quality trouser dress pants. My legs are 35in inseam so I am going to get a couple of pairs hemmed so that I can sometimes wear flats; the others I will leave as is so that I can wear heels (it's nice to have the option!!) Banana Republic, I should note that I bought 1 pair of martin fit suit pants in 2007 with the exact same material makeup as the ones I just bought (tag says martin fit stretch, same size, and exact same materials as the ones I just bought) but the ones I just bought have a FAR superior cut and fit to the ones I bought in 2007. The ones I bought in 2007 had a narrow waistband and do not fit like the ones I just got. I love the wider waistband and fit of the ones I just got so much better!!! The ones I just got fit like the martin fit pants I used to buy back in the day (before and up until 2005ish) and fell in love with!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for going back to the best and listening to your customers!!!!!!!

Love the Martin fit
I recently dropped pants sizes through my exercise program and repurchased these pants in a smaller size. I loved them in size 10 (which was little large on me, but appropriate for work) and bought them in a much more fitted size. A size 8 would have probably been a better fit previously, but I'm not always comfortable with fitted pants for work. I find these pants to be comfortable, versatile, and very flattering. I'm tall and have long legs and tend to wear the slacks with flats or very low heeled shoes. Wearing higher heels I would probably need a longer inseam.

Martin Fit Trouser
These are the best fitting pants I've found. I am 5 feet 4 1/2 inches tall and weigh 128 pounds. The size 6 fits me perfectly. The only problem I have is with the length. The regular comes in a 32 inch length. I need 31 inches as I only wear heels that are about 1 inch high. With a 2 inch heel, they would be perfect. The material is nice. It has enough wool in it to keep you warm during the cold months, but not enough to make the pants look heavy. They are sleek looking and flatter my figure. Because of the stripe, I can choose a solid color blazer to wear with them that picks up the color of the stripe and have a great looking outfit for dress, or wear a sweater or shirt with them for a more casual look. They are so versitile.

not for slender women
The material is nice but the proportions seem to be off -- the rise in back is very high, and there's a lot of extra material in the hips and thighs. A good tailor could fix this, but I plan to return the ... Pity that BR doesn't offer the more slender Sloan fit for suiting.

not for the curvy
I was excited about these pants, but alas, the fit... not for the curvy. I am 5'10'' and ordered these in a tall- the length was right, the waist was right, but the hip area- very tight. I ended up exchanging these for the jackson fit in the same size and the fit is much better for me. Overall nice pant, pairs nicely with the jacket for a clean, flattering, lightweight black suit.

Lover of the Jackson ...
I've been shopping at the Gap Company since the 70's when finding a good ... involved picking light blue cordoroys (or whatever the latest color was) in boys/mens sizes and hoping the waist ... me. The Jackson ... far cry from those days and a wonderful pant for those of us girls and women who ... curves even if we are a ... 6. The Jackson ... no longer sold in stores ... here's hoping that the Company keeps the ... least on line. Some of us are ... 12 year olds anymore with boy shaped bodies ... we do still want to look stylish!!!

Love it!
I tried ... store before buying ... online. It is so difficult to find clothes that ... curvy women ... were just great! I love how the waist is higher than most ... lower hip to-waist ratio than most women so now I don't ... worry about my low rise ... sliding off b/c they're too loose at the waist. I got the short (I'm 5'3") my only complaint is I wish ... were a teensy bit shorter.

Jacksons, my reliable favorites
Thank goodness a wide range of Jackson ... back because the Martin ... has been all over the board. ... slim the waist and I always get compliments on ... slanted pocktes don't bulge and ... aren't snug in the rear. I am 5'9" and the regular length was good with heels. My only gripe is the rise is short. If BR offered 0 talls, I would ... went w/ ... would ... down at least 1 ... your Martin ...

The perfect pant!
I love these ... Bought them on sale in store, a ... return, my favorite kind of find. They really work for everything. Perfect for business meetings, casual business settings, even dressing up for evening. I really could wear them everyday. I have completely bought into the skinny jean craze, and these ... allow me to transition that style more into the work environment.

Comfortable and Accommodating
I love these slacks. I have them in 10, 8 and now 6, buying a few new pairs as I lose weight. The fabric is fantastic. Comfortable but supportive and wrinkle resistant. I can only say that the sizes seem big and the 6 wasn't enough of a change from the 8 to have made it worth the purchase. The beauty of these ... however, is that they do adapt and conform because of the stretch and structure of the fabric. Overall for everyday business casual, I love them!

Flattering
I was hesitant to order online, but I'd waited quite a while for them to come back into stock. Threw them into my suitcase when I received them because I was about to leave on business trip. They fit very well, and the fit was very flattering. I felt good in them.

Martin Skinny ...
These Martin blank ... true to the name. They are skinny ... form fitting. They are great for the weekend / going out, etc. When I bought them I was planning on wearing to work and going out but they really are not business casual attire. They are too form fitting for work. But, they are great for outside of work and are very flattering esp. in the black color.

Classic
These ... have been looking for. I am a 24 year old professional who has to wear business attire to work everyday. It ia hard to find clothes that say im classy without being frumpy. These ... perfect! i love the way they look and feel. the fabric is very soft and the pocket detailing makes them very unique. they can be worn with a blazer for a more dressed up look or with a nice blouse for a more casual look. i bought them in the black but will buy them in the blue and possibly the gray too.

I'm 5'9", 150 and the 10Tall are a perfect ... too long for my 34.5" inseam (which I expected), but I welcome hem jobs b/c regular length ... NEVER long enough! Nice ... right length.
I did like the skinny ... thought they were perfect for business wear. If you have curves, just beware the fit is a little tighter, in the rear, than the picture they provide. They fit really great in the waist and don't pinch as ... prone to do nowadays. I have very long legs and these fit all the way down with room to spare which is great with heals.

Absolute Perfect Pant
These truly are the most absolute perfect pant!! Once you find the right size for you (BR has clearly changed their ... model to a pre pubecent boy) they look AMAZING!!! the past 2 yrs I've had to increase my sz at BR tremendously, and many of their ... cuts just didn't ... same anymore! I have always loved the ... Martin's and when these skinnies came out I really wanted them! The regular length was too short (5'9") but the talls at 36"inseam are too long and will need to be taken up, for now they are tucked under a bit but I absolutely LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEE ... get A Lot of compliments of my legs looking extra long! I will buy several more in black so be able to wear often!!! I can't wait until fall to sport them with riding boots too!

I got the skinny work slacks I wanted!
I bought one pair of these and one pair of the Sexy Side Zip Leggings. I was going to return my least favorite - but I love BOTH and keeping both of them. I like the fit of Side Zip a bit more than the Martin skinny, because the button and zip of the Martin skinny is not as sleek looking. But that also makes them a bit more business wear acceptable - though I am using both pairs as business casual. This pant looks amazing! The length is a bit long and breaks at the top of the foot, but it doesn't look right. I tuck mine under about an inch - I might get them tailored. Once I tuck them in, they really lengthens the look of the leg. I am 5'6" and an 8 Regular in BR slacks - and these ... were no different in sizing. The fabric is thicker and stretchy and is not as dressy as the slacks I usually consider business wear - hence I would not wear them to meetings with clients, but they are just what I wanted: modern ... wear to work on less formal days - with my dressy work tops they work great!
