I always have trouble with ... have a thick waist and narrow hips and thighs. I bought these pants in a size 10 and they fit perfectly, except for length, which I had to shorten. Most ... fit in the waist and then are too big in the rear. These are the best fitting ... have had in a long time without having to taper the sides. I am 5'7" inches and 144 lbs. Great for larger waist girls with not much of a butt.
fantastic pantsReally like wearing these ... am 5'9 125lbs. and chose the size 6R. They are perfect length for my 1"boots and dress shoes. (I don't wear heels.) They are comfortable and wash up beautifully. I wash in cold, delicate, hang to dry. These are my go to dress pants. Great dark color. Smooth look...no flap pockets, distressing, or bulk. And they enhance my flat bottom. Very flattering. These are my second pair of trouser ... plan to buy all my ... future because your length and quality are the best I've found. Best trouser jeans for curvy girlsI've been looking for a long time for the perfect dark wash, straight leg trouser jeans. I've got ample hips and thighs, so I can only admire skinny jeans on others. I've tried to find cheaper alternatives elsewhere but nothing compares to these. These trouser ... exactly what I was looking for--they're classic! The wash is dark and rich, and the lines are straight and slimming. There's ample stretch to the material so that it hugs your curves without squishing your thighs like sausages. These are so soft and comfortable. As others have noted, you need to go a size bigger for proper fit. I usually take a size 12, but I had to buy these in a 14. Also, note the length in the product details section above. The "regular" has a 34" inseam, so these are plenty long and will require heels on most women. But boy, do they look fabulous on. They easily take 10 pounds off and make my short legs look long and lean. I know these are going to be a work horse for me this fall and winter because these ... appropriate in almost any situation--at a casual event, at an evening out, or at the office. Worth every penny...especially if you can get them on discount.
Love the dark indigo denims!I am able to wear trouser or slack type ... work with sweaters and blazers and these ... really professional, but are great going out with the girls for drinks after work. The length makes it possible for my 35" inseam to wear heels for fun and flirty without putting the waist up too high. Having just lost weight, it is really nice to get back into Banana ... Not Your Daughter's ... though there is just enough give to make them fit well and not bag anywhere.
I ordered the 27 short size (I'm 5' 4" and 115 lbs) and it fits me perfectly. ... comfortable, and look nice, unlike some ... which feel too tight around my legs.
"careful" cont.i already wrote a review for these ... ("careful") and just wanted to say that the inseam which i believe was a 34 is now a 32 almost 31 after washing them. also, the crease down the front of the pants completely disappeared, which i'm actually happy about. but even after drying ... medium/high heat, they still fit great, which is a nice relief.
Good Long Tall ... Nice long ... also bought the Deep Blue Trouser ... those are a much better fit for me personally. These are very thin and show terrible panty lines in almost anything.
Love ... Perfect trouser ... Love the more horizontal front pockets that don't gap like a lot of the more diagonal /slash pockets on other pants and ... Only problem is that for my 5'6", the "regular" 34-inch inseam is an inch or two too long. I went to my local Banana Republic store to take advantage of the free hemming--a Luxe card benefit. While there I tried the shorter length, which was too short. I wish that I could order the correct inseam directly from bananarepublic.com!!!
Straight legs... pants are very comfy and very nice looking. I was expected more of a flare or wide leg than a straight legged trouser. I don't know if that is my lack of experience in the 'traditional trouser world' or a mistake on BR part. Working in a place where ... aren't allowed ... great because they disguise the fact that they truely are ...
Work Appropriate ... ... fit really well and I'm a hard to fit body type -- a short, size 16, curvy girl. I ordered a 16 Petite and they are just right in the length for someone 5' 4" tall like me. ... not too short nor too long and are the perfect height for a small heel or boot. The ... great for casual Fridays at work, but also work for weekends and dressier evening events. I only wish ... were in a slightly heavier weight of ... so ... wouldn't show wrinkles from hours of sitting at a desk.
Great ... These are as dressy as ... can be. They are a straight leg in a very dark wash. I have pretty large thighs... I'm a size 10 in most ... Gap/Banana and that's what I purchased in these. The waist and butt area fit very well but they are pretty tight on my thighs. I'm sure that when I wear them for an hour they will get a little loser and be great. Also, I usually buy Tall sizes and these are pretty long for a Tall. It seems like it's always hit or miss with the Tall sizes. Sometimes I get a pair of ... pants and they are absolutely the perfect length and sometimes they are much too long. However, I would MUCH rather have them be too long than too short.
