You Need These Black Jeans
These bad boys have a great black dye and look really sharp coupled with a polo of just about any color. I was really impressed with how good the black dye looked and I'm definitely happy with them.

My Favorite ...
BR ... only brand I buy. And now my new all time favorite is the black stonewashed ... Its' dressy, It's Casual, and more important has a sexy look! I had to go a size smaller than I normally buy. Now how great does that make me feel!

Even better than the orginal
These ... update version of the previous BR black ... They look exactly like the picture. I almost did not buy them b/c of the previous reviews, but so glad I took a chance on them. They are great!

My fifth pair
I now have 5 pair of the straight black stonewashed and I find that they are my favorites. Fit is great and I even get complemented on their look. Never had that with a pair of ... before.

Go to Jeans
These straight, black, stonewashed jeans are now my go to jeans. Great fit, feel and color. I've generally had problems in the past with jeans where the waist was too big and/or the seat was too small, but these are perfect, with a visual slimming effect.

Nice jeans and great fit
The black stonewashed straight jeans have a a great color and fit. Can be dressed up or down so you can wear them almost anywhere. I'm tall 6'4" and the the 36 length is plenty long so these are great for tall men. This is my second pair of BR straight jeans and they are my favorites of all the jeans in my closet!

old school feeling with hip contemporary whiskering
I really like these jeans. Love the whiskering on them. The color looks exactly as it does in the picture. A lot of reviews call them 'very black' and that confused me. Or maybe I just don't know what stonewashed means but I'd describe them as a type of gray. Either way, good pair of jeans that fit well.

Great Jeans
I just picked these up at a local BR, they were having 30% so they were a great deal. This is my first pair of BR jeans, normally get GAP as they are less expensive. I needed a pair of dark/black wash and these stood out. They seem to be very good quality. They aren't as soft as some of the other BR jeans, but they are still very comfortable and will undoubtedly become more soft with a few washes. My size, 32x32 was perfect in the waist and slightly long but i like to roll the front a little. Great length with boots. Look very nice with black or brown shoes.

Not the same ...
I've been buying these black stone washed straight leg jeans since 2005, and although they underwent some minor changes over the years, they were still easily identifiable as "the same" ... Not the case anymore. Manufacturing has shifted from Macau (China) to Mexico, and the denim is coarse and of lower quality (think The Gap) as is the dye work; you can smell the dye as much as see it! Fake wear markings and pressed wrinkles cover the ... no where near subtle. As for hardware, the rivets are fine, there's the addition of a leather tag which I don't mind, but then there's also a blindingly bright gold button replacing the far more tasteful tarnished steel. These jeans have been my staple as only Banana Republic Straight leg jeans seem to avoid size/fit and excessive aging gimmics. It's too bad they just look like a pair of Gap jeans now.

life expectancy: around 1 year
I've purchased this item after months of searching for a good looking and reasonable priced pair of black "washed" style jeans. I wear this 6 times a week. and wash once every other week. yup, to some people that may be dirty, but to me it's a pair of jeans, you just don't really wash jeans. around a year in, the knee area and the side stitched area started to shred. i do not wear this for heavy duty activities, just going to work sitting in a chair staring at a monitor. it is quite disappointing knowing I have to replace this once a year. I hope the quality of this jeans improves. Otherwise I may have to cough off more money and spend twice the price for something that will last me to the 5-6 year mark.

Black jeans not so black
The fit on these was as expected, so that was all good but the look of them was way off. They're hardly black, and are more of a dirty gray that like they've been washed about 100 times already, but still aren't clean. I get the plan to have some jeans look worn in or vintage, but these just look tired, like the sort of jeans you'd finally give up on wearing.
