Great shirt - runs big
My husband is 6'6' 215 lbs. and long arms. I ordered originally the 2XLT and he was swimming in it. Based on the fit, I ordered the XLT and LT just in case. The size LT fit him great, my advice is order down at least one size on this shirt.
I'm a big guy and these shirts fit great. I'm 6'6" and about 230 pounds and whenever i try these shirts on in the store, the XL is always a little too short for my liking. I was told by a store associate that Tall sizes were available online so i decided to give it a try and bought an XL Tall. The shirt fits perfectly and i am really happy that i can finally fit into these shirts. Banana Republic has great stuff for people my size and i plan to buy a lot more.
Perfection
My husband is 50 years old and is VERY particular about everything in his life . . . but especially his underwear. Banana Republic undershirts are the ONLY brand he will wear. I have purchased many other brands in the 17 years we have been together and I ALWAYS come back to BR. There is not shrinkage problem and the cotton material keeps its shape and softness after many, many washings.
Pima Cotton clothing

Love this shirt !!
This is a great shirt, its very comfortable and light. I use this shirt on the weekends with a sweater and it looks great. I have been using the tall size version of these shirts because they are longer and sit below the waste. the only downfall is that you cant walk into the BR store and purchase them there, you have to go online and to buy them. cheers!!!!
fits too loose for use as undershirts
Got these for my hubby that normally wears size L for BR clothes but these shirts were way too big to wear as undershirts. They do feel nice and soft so I ended up exchanging for size M.
Sleeves too Short
I am 6'5 tall and slender, and I was hoping that the Tall Large size would work for me. The shirt looks fine and fits well in the body, but the sleeve length is just too short, even though I bought the ... size. I like the shirt but need to return because of the short sleeve length.

HOT!
Bought 4 for my husband and these are perfect! Love the black and the gray. My husband has an athletic (muscular, but not muscle bound) build and usually takes a L or XL (to accommodate shoulders & chest), but went down to the M to get a more tailored look as the L was too big around the belly/torso. Going down a size gives a perfect fit, fitted, but not tight/clinging to your body. These are HOT with premium denim and under a nice blazer/jacket. The material is wonderfully comfortable (perfect give, while retaining shape) and it has a very refined appearance, so he is comfortable taking his jacket off on business/1st class travel. Oh, and what a buy for pima cotton w/ lycra. Nice job, BR.
Great shirt. Fits well, holds up well in the wash, doesn't wrinkle too badly when hang dried. I wish the body was a bit longer (6'5" 190 lbs, 34" inseam - medium talls are the only possible option ever) but I'd rather have a good fit in the body/sleeves and struggle to keep it tucked than to be wearing some billowy circus tent. If the body was 2 inches longer, it would be perfect; since it's not, it's just great.
Probably my favorite piece of clothing
I am addicted to these shirts and how great they fit and feel. I know pretty much wear these exclusively. Made the mistake of getting just pima cotton without the "stretch" once thinking it wasnt a big difference, wrong! I rarely write reviews and when I do they are mostly negative but I have to give props where they are due. Wish I had a way for them to stay super white and fresh though...a problem which affects all white shirts unfortunately.
Classic Shirt
This shirt really is a classic black shirt. It can be used as an undershirt, standalone tee, or part of a layered look. It's not thin, nor is it stiflingly thick. As with all Banana shirts, the sleeves aren't very long...even considering mine are Large Talls. The cotton feels like it's got some ability to shrink, so always remember to cold wash and delicate dry
Neck stretched right away
BR tees used to be the most dependable for the necks to keep their shape even after many washings. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. I don't even have a big head and the necks were stretched after one washing! I have always been willing to shell out an extra few bucks for these expensive tees because they kept their shape. Now I am a bit frustrated and I hope BR responds and goes back to the stretch free necks that they had on all varieties of their T shirts. Please make it worth the extra money again!
Too ... Stretched Over Time
These shirts were great at first but now have stretched to my knees after two years. I usually wear XL ... but these sleeves hang out the bottom of BR's XXL ... pullover short sleeves. This was happening when I first started wearing them. I started wearing with dress shirts and ordered the regular cotton XL Talls and they have been great. I am 6'4" and need the ... but the stretch cotton looses its elasticity and now they are great night shirts for girls no exaggeration. The funny thing is that the charcoal color in this same shirt has actually shrunk and have become muscle shirts but are still long enough without the bacon effect. After two years they are still thick too. Order Charcoal DO NOT ORDER WHITE STRETCH COTTON. Also get the ROYAL OXFORDS they are the best!
