Very nice ... great colors and feels really nice.. Bought a few for my husband for cmas. Looks like they are true to size but won't know until he gets them. Bought Xxl tall he is 6'3 and very broad. Line backerish...
Son''s presents
I purchased the two items for my son . The retail Banana Republic stores cannot fit him because he is big and tall. The sales associates were helpful and told us to look online. However, we could not find the items that we had admired in the store so I called the store and a very efficient sales associate returned my call with the style #'s. great ...
i ordered this ... my husband for christmas. it was such a great purchase i went back and ordered more for him! he can wear them out, to work, or really anywhere. they are super soft and look really nice. i got him the ... tall large and its the perfect fit for him! will order more and more in all colors. its a great staple.
Awesome
This ... fits me perfectly and is very comfortable. It's not loose enough that I could wear a button up shirt under it, but it fits great on its own. If you're tall and skinny (I'm 6', 160lbs), go for the Medium Tall.
very nice ... maybe runs a little small
I bought this ... large tall for my husband who is 6'3 and about 180 pounds (read: tall and thin). I also bought the merino wool ... same size. While the wool ... fit perfectly, this silk/cashmere one was a bit snug - he would need an XL. So the ... lovely (hence the 5 stars), but don't assume comparable sizing!
Always wonderful
With three men in the family aged from late teens to mid sixties, we own numbers of these sweaters. They are fashionable and comfortable for all ages and the color selections are wonderful. They work as solo garments or over tees and button downs, even with a work shirt and tie. Very versatile.
Nice soft ...
I love BR because of their tall sizes. I bought this ... light blue in a Tall XL. I'm 6'7" 235lbs and this fits great on me. Sleeve length is great and the overall length is perfect. It is really soft which i love. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the V goes down lower then i expected. Either way it is a nice ... fits great.
Snug, deep v neck, purple is a nice color
I got this in Aubergine color, which is a discontinued color, but is basically the same thing as what's currently called Purple. Standing at 6'2" and about 180 lbs, I opted for the Medium Tall size. The length of the sleeves and the body length is perfect for a tall slender guy like me. The fit is very snug, but after a few wears, it loosens up a bit. It'll go over a slim fit shirt, but will probably not pair well with a classic fit shirt. The material feels luxurious, so you'll feel like a million bucks wearing this. The v neck is cut a little deep, so keep that in mind when you're considering this ... only thing I don't like about it is that you shouldn't machine wash it since it's a delicate fabric, so it's hand wash or dry clean only. I suppose you can machine wash it on a gentle cycle in a lingerie bag, but don't even think about running it through a machine dryer!
Oh, nana...
I love Banana Republic, and have been a fan since way back (remember the crashed jeep out front?) My latest purchase was a ... like all sweaters I have tried on at Banana, it is either a perfect fit, or waaay off. This purchase was unfortunately the latter. However - the process of buying was super smooth, and after I wanted to return, the process was very quick (I ordered on line, and received my refund within 5 days of sending it back!) I will continue to purchase at Banana, the quality is good (My dress pants last as long as comparable at Hugo Boss, or DKNY or Michael Kors, etc) and the service is great.
Thin/light ... decent, but body too short
Overall a very thin ... Banana Republic still can't grasp the fact that their sleeves and torso lengths are too short. I'm only 6'-1/2" tall and the M Tall is too short (in sleeves and torso) on me.
