Workday Staple
MY husband needs to wear ... work everyday and has a difficult time finding ones that fit him as he is tall (6'2") and skinny (160lbs), but has broad shoulders and long arms. Well, we've had great success with the BR ... They fit perfectly, just as good as the custom tailored ... he bought for $300 more than the BR one! Also, the styling is great. Clean and contemporary just as we like. No ugly pleats, etc. My only problem is that it seems BR has a hard time keeping the size we need in stock. Every time there is a sale I check and sometimes it's there, sometimes sold out. Annoying, but worth the wait.

Almost perfect
Jacket is too big in the chest, probably mainly because I am on the skinny side. It is hard finding a proper fitting jacket for someone with larger shoulders and a smaller waist. This comes close, but needs some work done.

Nice ...
Very nice ... Modern fit is a little big for skinny minnies like me. Overall, very nice ... however! Would be happy to own if I didn't find the tailored fit ...

Too Big and Boxy
I bought the modern cut because I had purchased the same cut some years ago. But the cuts have changed. The modern fit is now bigger and roomier. I returned it for the tailored cut and it fits much better (the way the old modern cut used to fit). I am not a small guy but the 42R tailored cut fit me just fine. The 44R (and 42R) modern cut was way to big and boxy. The button was too high and looked baloon ish. I really like BR ... but recommend trying on the different cuts before buying.

Too big
I own several other Modern Fit ... (2 in this exact same color) and when this arrived, it was much larger than my existing. It's high quality though not at all consistent in size with prior Modern fits

Great fit!

Classic style, great color and quality
We chose Banana Republic ... over tuxes for our wedding. The style and color are classic and the quality is amazing, so these are ... boys can wear again and again. And I think it's such a better look than a cheesy, rented tuxedo! I wish they hadn't discontinued the Tailored Fit in this charcoal color, because a lot of the younger boys prefer the more tailored pant, but the modern is also a nice fit - more of a classic suiting pant. Boys will be wearing with white shirts, the BR Classic Silk Plaid tie (navy), BR argyle socks (navy) and Navy Blue Chuck Taylor's from Piperlime! They're going to look amazing! :)

Great Fit But....
The pants are great. I ended up returning them, however, because I bought the modern fit ... jacket to go with the pants and the modern fit ... jacket was too big and boxy. So I exchanged the jacket for the tailore fit, which fits great. So ensure a perfect match, I exchanged the modern cut pants for the tailored pants. The tailored cut fits remarkably similarly to the moden cut.
