excellent ...
Purchased for my brothers wedding, I am the best man. Fit was excellent. I like my suits not to be boxy which many dark suits are, in the major stores. Perfect fit for this occasion and great quality.

Banana Suits Rock
This ... jacket is perfectly tailored, looks amazing, and is extremely versatile. Whether going into the office, or out on the town, I know I'm rockn' it.

Nice Jacket
The jacket fit well and overall was what I was looking for. The material feels a little cheaper than i was expecting, but the look is very nice. I'm not huge on the satin like look of most suits, but I like this one.

Great ... Coat
I have a large chest, broad shoulders, but slimmer waist. This ... coat fits me perfectly. I bought the 46R coat and the 36/30 matching ... pants. This ... really slims me down and looks great. I am going to buy it in black as well. The material has some give to it and is very breathable. It is perfect for the summer, but I will be wearing this all year. Material does not look cheap at all... I have gotten plenty of compliments on it as well. I had to get the sleeves shortened a bit, which takes a good tailor because of the buttons and the way the cuffs are, but no big deal. Buy this during a nice BR sale and you are all set.

Great ... -- Tailored Fit is the way to go
So if you read my other reviews, you know I've complained about the size (girth) of the jackets. This tailored fit is trim -- not too big, not too tight. The navy is a lighter color, definitely looks blue in certain light, not like the dark navy which can look black. Also, the jacket is slight long. I'm always caught between a (BR sizing) regular and a short. Of course, the short looks like my little brother's jacket. With jackets, too long is better than too short. Great ... overall. Pants are fine as well.

New favorite ...
Nobody wants a sloppily fitting ... tailored fit looks really sharp, more of a European fit than you'll see on most guys around here. As others said, it is a tighter fit, especially through the thighs, but it is by no means too tight on me - 175lbs, normal build, cyclist. I'm wearing essentially 1 size up, but I don't know if that's because I'm getting larger or this ... runs slightly small. Once you get the size dialed in though, this ... really rocks. Others noted the material, here's my take - nice, thin wool that drapes well and holds off wrinkles. It has a slight stretch to it which makes it especially comfortable. I'm guessing this will be extremely comfortable and breathable come the hot muggy DC summers. Some said it looks cheap but I disagree; I think it looks smooth and clean. Hold off for one of the big BR discounts and this ... great deal.

First ... jacket I''ve found that fiits people who are fit
I typically have difficulty being fitted in suits. Prior to the days when separates were offered, a 50-Long jacket came with a 44 waist pant. Then came the athletic cut, which offered an 8-inch drop, so it came with a 42 waist. I had a 16 inch drop which meant I needed a 50-Long jacket and a 34 pant. Then separates began being offered, first Brooks Brothers, then Jos A Bank, then department stores but even though I could purchase the pants separately the 50 Long jacket was still made for someone with a 40-something waist... the jacket just couldn't be taken in enough. I offer all of that history to say that the tailored ... recently purchased fit exceptionally well and it will need little to no alterations. It is not offered in a 50-Long so I went with a 48-Long (I don't work out quite as much as I used to but I'm still about 220 lbs and the 48-Long actually fit pretty well). I'm 6'3" and the sleeve length was perfect. The material was extremely light weight, which may not be QUITE as appealing to some, for me it allows me to be able to wear it year round. The narrower lapels made it current. Overall, I was very pleased with it.

Material is very light and I went with a 42 short and 30 on the pants. Perfect cut for my body type and has the stretch feel to it.

Very satisfied thus far
Just bought the jacket (expecting the pants to be shipped soon) for a wedding/interviews and so far I'm very pleased. I'm a pretty slim guy (6', about 160 lbs) and usually have a tough time buying suits without immediately visiting the tailor. I was a little naive to BR's fit collection and happened across this jacket quite by accident (I was trying on a gray Modern cut at the store but the only 38R I could find was in Navy--Tailored fit). To my surprise, the jacket fit (very very close to) perfectly right off the rack! Really a lovely ... though I can't speak for durability just yet (can't report on the pants yet either). Definitely worth a look considering the lousy fits of comparably priced suits at [@] or elsewhere.

Packed poorly
The ... great, but you would think that when one drops [$] on a ... would be packed properly rather than just thrown into a tiny box, folded and creased in every which way. The jacket as a result came wrinkled and in pretty bad shape. I'll have to get it ironed before wearing. Seriously, though, Banana Republic -- there has to be a better way to ship suits.

Not impressed
My husband already has a ... BR that he bought 18 months ago for a wedding that looks great and fits perfectly -- so we ordered this one in three colors for work, expecting a similar result. Instead, the fit of this was not as good and we were very disappointed at the quality of the fabric -- it [*]doesn't compare to some suits we just bought him at [@] for much less. All BR suits are clearly not the same so be aware of that when you're ordering! We sent them all back.

AMAZING slacks
I am not the kind of guy who fits comfortably into skinny pants, as I have thicker, musclier legs, but these tailored slacks fit just right. They're very sharp looking, and incredibly comfortable. The quality feels like heaven on your legs. Initially, to my own fault, I ordered a size 1 inch too small, as I can get away with this sometimes depending on the fit/brand. I felt like I was wearing tights. I figured, with my 30 inch waist, I can easily fit into 31 inch pants. But this was not the case. I needed that extra inch, so I bumped it up to a 32 inch waist and now they fit perfectly. My recommendation is, don't order any smaller than you normally do with these pants. The 31/32's were WAY too tight, the 33/32's were a little too big, and the 32/32's fit perfectly.

Don''t buy this cheap ...
I am a big fan of Banana Suits. I own about 15 of them. I wanted this one because I needed a new solid Navy ... have never bought a ... Banana Republic before and returned it until I purchased this one. The material looked very cheap and stretched like a pair of Spandex. Even though it fitted me fine it looked like it would wrinkle very easy and looked cheap. Save your time and buy another ... just received the Mad Men ... looks great!

Misleading Sales
My purchase via the internet was fine but it was after I visited the store and was not able to buy the pants there. Your sales and coupons are very misleading! I tried to buy these pants at the store with one of your coupons but was told me I could not use it because it was part of a ... There have been other occasions you have sent emails regarding sales and I've gone to the store and only a few items were on sale. Mind you there were big sales signs through the store in every section. Very disappointing!
