New relaxed Dawson fit chino
$49.99-$59.50

Comfortable Dawsons!
My son would only wear blue jeans until he discovered the Dawson relaxed ... chinos, now he rarely wears jeans. The Dawsons are so comfortable for him and have an excellent range of shades available. I noticed, however, with the last two pair purchased that the cut has changed. The legs are wider and perhaps the overall ... more "relaxed" but not to the point of looking sloppy or "bell bottomish" as other reviewers have indicated. The quality of these ... have been consistently good and they hold up quite well over time.

Great gift!
I buy these ... my dad and brother, both of whom are over 6'3". The relaxed ... durability of the Dawsons cannot be beat. Unlike other chinos that weaken in the knees and rear from bending and use, these last so long. They look great after every wash. I more than get my money's worth from these ... Thanks, Banana!

Very nice!
I am a little bit on the ... size, and I worry about the ... but BR offers me exactly what I need. This relax ... go with so many colors, and can dress me up or down in not time. Very nice!

... review
I'm on the edge of 6'5" and weigh 215 so I have to do online shopping for clothes. It's a mess because nothing ever fits - flat front ... never worked. The flat front relaxed Dawson chino, however, fits. I'm between a 35 and 36 inch waist and the 35 worked. The 36L inseam is a perfect fit. Most importantly, the crotch is NOT obscene and they fit through the thigh. They are "dressier" than other chinos in that they have the slide/hook button instead of the traditional button. I purchased two colors: acorn and khaki and they are both true fits. For other ... purchases, "Relaxed" fits work with Banana Republic. I'm just thankful I don't have to wear PLEATS anymore!

Men''s New Relaxed Dawson ... Chinos
I purchased these ... my son in-law for Christmas based on the description of ... picture alone, knowing his build, etc. -- he had never tried them on previously. They ... perfectly and look great! They have a relaxed, but stylish cut, suiting his build perfectly, and are extremely comfortable. These ... very versatile addition to his wardrobe. I am so happy with this purchase!

Perfect for Athletic guys
I HATE buying pants. I have a small waist, ... (athletic) butt and legs. So, I always end up buying a size too ... get the waist tailored. NOT with these!!! These fit me perfectly. I was so excited that I found these. I bought every color and threw out all of my other work pants. These are the ones for me. I know It's ridiculous that I'm this excited over a pair of pants.....but THEY FIT! These are perfect for guys that work out or are bodybuilders. Thanks BR...now, don't you dare discontinue these!

A good work pant
I have a small waist and can only buy ... online. My waist is about 28 inches, but because I run and lift weights, my legs are ... my frame. I need to but a 29 inche waist just to have some room for my legs. The Dawson chinos are great because the waist is true to size and the are a little roomier in the legs. I did think they were a little short, but they are close enough for the length. I wear these to work, but they would be good for casual outings.

Great cut
This pant was just perfect. I'm not a really ... guy nor am I a small guy. The pant is free from waist through the leg. A little long but that is fine by me. I got the green first but the gray looks better than I expected too.

Comfortable, quality pants let down by a few flaws and inconsistencies
I've got three colors of the Dawson chino, and I'm quite pleased. I got the Charleston Brown (which is a brown so dark as to verge on charcoal, darker than the photo above), Moose Brown (which is really more of a grayish olive) and Acorn (true to photo, a nice rich British khaki.) The fabric has a nice, heavy weight but is still breathable, so they're suitable for four season wear in Denver. They tend to not hold wrinkles too badly, so they don't look like they've been slept in by noon. The colors are distinctive but not flashy, and pair well with just about every shirt I own. I found the fit to be perfect; I've got hiker thighs, and the straight fit pants just don't work for me. They're also comfortable enough to sit at a desk all day - won't ride up in the crotch. I won't rate them that much on fit, because your mileage may of course vary. I also like how these have angled pockets, rather than the Gavin's on seam pockets - on seam pockets are great if you're built like a marathon runner, but if you've got an extra 15 pounds or are just built ... they stick out and make you look like you're rocking the birthing hips. A couple of minor quibbles: a double belt loop in the back is pretty necessary and not present. Also, I order 34s and usually get them altered to a 33 inch ish inseam. The acorn and moose brown pairs needed to be altered - the Charleston brown was short enough to wear without alteration. There seems to be substantial variation in length between colors, so try them all on.

Old ones are better
I put on an 'old' pair of banana chinos this morning for work and was blown away by the difference. Even at 4+ years old, these ... still look and feel great and have remained the correct length. I have a pair each of the new relaxed ... straight ... Both of them have shrunk so badly that they're nearly unwearable. All have been cared for just as the older pair. The newer versions feel 'cheaper' to me, as well. Unfortunately, I feel as if I need to find a new store to buy chinos from.

a little dissapointed
First, let me say that i love the banana boot cut pants - unfortunately they seem to be discontinuing them. they were nice and straight in the thigh, lower rise, and they weren't boot cut to the point of being flared at the bottom, just a nice sized opening at the bottom. so i figured i would try the new dawson as the description sounded similar. i've had dawson pants in the past, they were always too big in the rear and thighs, a little tapered on the bottom. these are not as bad, but still a little too big in the rear and thigh. I could probably get my tailor to tighten up the rear and legs, but i don't want to spend the extra $ just to experiment. the gavin would probably fit better in the rear and thigh but seem to be tapered a little too much for my tastes. what's the deal with the tapered pants lately? makes people's legs look like sausages. maybe i'm just out of style...

Great gift!I buy these ... my dad and brother, both of whom are over 6'3". The relaxed ... durability of the Dawsons cannot be beat. Unlike other chinos that weaken in the knees and rear from bending and use, these last so long. They look great after every wash. I more than get my money's worth from these ... Thanks, Banana!

Very nice!I am a little bit on the ... size, and I worry about the ... but BR offers me exactly what I need. This relax ... go with so many colors, and can dress me up or down in not time. Very nice!

... review I'm on the edge of 6'5" and weigh 215 so I have to do online shopping for clothes.

Chinos I purchased these ... my son in-law for Christmas based on the description of ... picture alone, knowing his build, etc. -- he had never tried them on previously. They ... perfectly and look great! They have a relaxed, but stylish cut, suiting his build perfectly, and are extremely comfortable. These ... very versatile addition to his wardrobe. I am so happy with this purchase!

Perfect for Athletic guysI HATE buying pants.

A good work pantI have a small waist and can only buy ...

Great cutThis pant was just perfect. I'm not a really ... guy nor am I a small guy. The pant is free from waist through the leg. A little long but that is fine by me. I got the green first but the gray looks better than I expected too.

Comfortable, quality pants let down by a few flaws and inconsistenciesI've got three colors of the Dawson chino, and I'm quite pleased.

Old ones are betterI put on an 'old' pair of banana chinos this morning for work and was blown away by the difference. Unfortunately, I feel as if I need to find a new store to buy chinos from.

a little dissapointedFirst, let me say that i love the banana boot cut pants - unfortunately they seem to be discontinuing them. they were nice and straight in the thigh, lower rise, and they weren't boot cut to the point of being flared at the bottom, just a nice sized opening at the bottom. so i figured i would try the new dawson as the description sounded similar. i've had dawson pants in the past, they were always too big in the rear and thighs, a little tapered on the bottom. these are not as bad, but still a little too big in the rear and thigh.
