perfect dark jeans
My husband wears a 29/32-- very hard to find anywhere but BR. We have bought many jeans over the years from BR but these are the best yet. Bought one pair and liked them so much that I bought two more pair during the sale. The fit is pretty consistent from pair to pair-- one was just a little tight but still fine. The color is darker than the web site image suggests. The jeans are very versatile because they are just slightly worn in looking. I hope BR keeps making them exactly like this. We had also purchased a pair of the same style and size in the lighter indigo color but the fit was way too large and the legs were too short-- they had to go back. That's why when you find something that is pretty near perfect, stock up.

Fit Better Than Expected
These jeans fit better than expected. Washed them right away no shrinkage!-and they fit great, true to size. Very comfortable and they look great for casual and dress occasions. I purchased 2 pair and will definitely consider more.

nice but...
Very nice jeans - fit in the seat and thighs - but too big in the waist and too short - of course, they were a 30 x 32 - I really need a 29 x 33 or 34 - which Banana Republic doesn't offer. I can wear a 30 waist in some brands - but this one ran big. I had to return them. I'm afraid they will shrink in the leg and I won't be able to wear them at all.

Nice pant, just to long
This is the first pair of jeans I purchased from BR, and I must say they were nice. I did have to return them though as they were much longer than I expected. I had purchased 32 length before and have found BR's 32 length to be too short. I went 34 on these jeans and they were too long. You really have to try on everything here as it seems to me the length can vary a bit.

Inconsistent length
I have purchased three pairs of these jeans a over have past year or so. One pair was just right in the length. The other two pair had to br altered to get the length correct. I ordered 30 inch inseams on all three pair; one pair arrived with ab30 in inseam, one measured 32 and one was 31. Just not consistent. Other than that the quality and overall fit of these jeans is excellent. I love the way they feel and the fabric really drapes well. Would give 5 stars if they'd get the sizing consistent.

BR is not the same as it used to be.
I have been a fan of BR jeans for many many years. This last ... arrived with a hole in it but I am not going to return it since it’s not worth the hassle. However what is really making me think twice before ordering online again is that there are big size differences between straight fit jeans, even size differences between jeans that are the same reference (same wash). Reading all the reviews I am not the only one who thinks this. Another thing is that the quality does not look as premium as it used to, they kind of look like their lower end jeans from gap. Another reason I did not return them was because I sent them to an international courier service from Visa in Miami that sends them to my home in South America, I know that BR has an international shipping service but the rates are very high.

Straight Leg ...
I really am not ready to review these jeans. They are a Christmas present for my husband and it isn't Christmas yet! They are asking for a review and how am I to know until he tries them on? The price is right and they look and feel great, the color is just as shown and that is about all I can say.

Way loose and long; WHAT HAPPENED TO BR SIZING/QUALITY??
BR jeans were once the absolutely perfect ... I'm 5'6'' and wear a 30x30; for a few years now I've worn the Gap Standard Fit 30x30 as my casual/working outside ... BR Standard as my nicer casual/going out ... would buy one of each every 6 months or so online bc I wore them so frequently... Now both the Gap and BR versions of these jeans are 1-1.5" longer, AT LEAST 1"+ too loose in the waist, and the measured leg opening is at minimum .5" bigger. Why would they change a perfect ... true, perfect fit?? Now the quality is terrible, the color is misrepresented and way darker in reality, and the jeans are manufactured in like 20 different foreign countries, each one sizing them differently and using different materials. In short, BR has become exactly what Gap is, and both have plummeted in quality control and sizing. Also, the BR basic tee is now 2.5" longer in length, 1" longer in sleeve and looks like a poor Hanes quality shirt. Not buying from BR until they change things; until then, only Polo is reliable for quality/sizing.

Not like my old BR Jeans
I've given up hope that BR will make a ... like they did 7 years ago. My purchase of this straight fit ... my third attempt in 7 years to do just that. But, none match my original pair, which are still my favorite pair of jeans. Their manufacturing is so inconsistent, that you can't rely on a standard straight ... being the same, though in name it is. It's not the same in almost every way: the craftsmanship -- my original pair had cloth trimmed edges on the inside of the jeans; the drape -- they drape perfectly, which is probably due to a nicer fabric and weave; fit -- the fit over all just feels right and hangs right. This new pair isn't even close. Well, maybe I'll give it another few years and try again.

terrible fit - cut like women''s jeans
I've been buying BR jeans for years and this is the worst pair I've ever got. I've gotten straight fit jeans in this size (32/30) in the past and they've fit great, so I went ahead and bought another pair online assuming they would be similar. However, BR seems to have changed the cut on their straight fit jeans this year. They look like something women or hipsters would wear (this according to my girlfriend). FYI, if I wanted hipster jeans, I would have bought slim fit, thank you very much. Anyway, the legs are too short, they are low rise on the hip (so low that I can slip out of them without unbuttoning them! I need to wear a belt to keep them on!), and they are much slimmer in the leg than prior versions of their straight fit jeans. Anyway, don't buy this online. Try it on in the store and see for yourself.

Unexpectedly baggy
When I ordered these jeans I was hoping for a classic straight fit pair of jeans. I didn't realize that these jeans fit lower than expected and were not flattering at all in the seat. The stitching in the back made them look even more unflattering. If one was looking more for an urban style ... probably more for them. I'll probably not order ... BR online again, and I definitely won't buy this style of ...
