I like the soft and vintage look of this ...
This ... has the softness and vintage appeal of a time worn classic. The tumbled leather strap is thick and wide but also very supple. It has a crackle pattern due to the tumbled wash and is polished with a luxurious satin sheen. The weathered brass buckle of the dark brown ... purchased has a pewter tone finish (not as pictured) and is not so heavy as other denim belts out there. I wear this ... everyday occasions with jeans, but it also looks good with a five pocket pant or flat front chinos. It can also be dressed up with a blazer and a button down for a night out on the town. The length is true to size, but I recommend ordering a size up for comfort.

I ordered this black ... without my acknowledgement that this ... had been made of genuine Italian leather, especially in the US soil per this product's specs. This ... amazing! The leather used for this ... 100 times better than most ones made in China. I have ordered several highly cost Lacoste and Polo Ralph Lauren belts before, but none of them comes close to this Banana Republic ... terms of quality. As soon as I picked up, holding it in my hand, so I knew for sure that this ... real deal. As of now, I own 6 different belts with the combination of Lacoste, Polo Ralph Lauren and Banana Republic. Since this ... made in USA, my next order for this ... different colors cannot be avoided. Thanks Banana Republic for your endless efforts in producing this high end quality product in our country. Say "No" to products made in China!!!

Surprisingly Nice
I needed a new black ... trying to decide between this one and a much cheaper one from Old Navy. When they arrived I realized that there is no comparison between the two. The leather on this one is so nice and soft, not at all like a typical department store ... one also looks very nice, with attractive, tasteful details that set it apart from cheaper belts. Despite the extra cost, I think I'm going to keep it.

Great Belt...but watch out for stretch
I'm on my 3rd one of these belts, and ended up buying a size smaller than the last 2, because over time, they both stretched almost 2 inches! If you are torn between 2 sizes, I'd get the smaller one, since over time it should end up fitting you just right.

Great belts
I own two of these. They look great with chinos or with jeans. Only problem is that they do scratch very easily. You probably can't avoid that though when you use real leather, so I can't fault BR here. They look great -- perfect thickness and width.

Scratches to easily..
... looked good but after wearing just a few times there are lots of scratches on the poorly tanned leather. It's like there is just a layer of coloring just on the surface.. Not a good product in my mind.. I have belts I've had for years and no scratches like this.. very strange and not good...
